This article contains spoilers for The Blacklist through season 9.
For nine seasons, The Blacklist has offered fans a panoramic view of the intersections between science and fiction. Paying attention to these blurred lines is not an attempt to poke holes in the episodes or to reclassify the show’s genre: The Blacklist is a fictional crime drama without question…and that means there is room to play with reality.
For nearly a decade, the show has kept viewers shrouded in a veil of confused mystery on multiple fronts: what was the nature of Red’s relationship with Elizabeth, who is Red really and where in the world is Katarina Rostova? It seems a blurry lens is the eyewear-of-choice for the writers to impart on the audience. Yet, it is in these murky sci-fi plotlines where we can begin to get cozy with the location of truth and unanswered questions on The Blacklist…...

Grasshopper Film has picked up North American distribution rights to Paul Felten and Joe DeNardo’s “Slow Machine,” ahead of the film’s premiere at the 58th annual New York Film Festival this week.
Set to release theatrically next year, the film is billed as a “miniature epic” of paranoia, espionage, subterfuge, music and performance on 16mm. It first bowed at January’s International Film Festival Rotterdam, one of the few physical film fests to take place ahead of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Slow Machine” follows Stephanie, a restless and vibrant actor, who meets a troubled counter-terrorism specialist who’s also an aficionado of experimental theater. Their relationship ends disastrously, and forces Stephanie to the ramshackle home of musician Eleanor Friedberger, where she’s haunted by violent memories of her past life.

For a depressingly short period of time, it looked like Valentine McKee was headed back to Perfection. Back in 2015, Amazon picked up a Termors reboot streaming series from Blumhouse Productions, and Kevin Bacon was all set to reprise his iconic role from the 1990 science fiction comedy. But for reasons that are still unclear, Amazon tossed the show over to the Syfy channel, which passed on the series entirely, and now all that exists is a pilot episode and a disheartening “what-if” scenario.
Last week, those behind the shelved project appeared at the Atx Television Festival, where they confirmed that the show was officially dead, despite attempts to find a new home on Netflix or another network. Bacon, alongside creator and producer Andrew Miller and the cast, screened clips from its sole finished episode and hosted a script reading with stars P.J. Byrne, Toks Olagundoye, Haley Tju and Emily Tremaine.

Kevin Bacon Shares What the ‘Tremors’ TV Series Would’ve Looked Like — and How It Could Still Happen
The “Tremors” TV series started with Kevin Bacon, and it may have ended with him on Saturday. The star of the 1990 film joined the cast and producers at the Atx Television Festival to share never-before-seen footage of the pilot and explain where the show would’ve gone had it been picked up to series.
“I had the idea to revisit this character,” Bacon told the crowd gathered in Austin. “It’s pretty much the only character I’d ever played in a movie that I ever thought, ‘This would be a fun guy to check out 25 years later — just because he was such a mess. Finding out what happened to him post-worms would be an interesting journey.”
Moreover, Bacon said his memories of “Tremors” — even after it became a cult favorite — were tainted by its initial performance.
“Why I had a bad taste in my mouth was [because] it was not a hit.

Atx Television Festival brought out the cast and creators of the never-picked-up Tremors series reboot, based on the 1990 cult classic film starring Kevin Bacon, who was attached to reprise his role on the latest TV adaptation. The presentation featured a combination of clips from the pilot, with a script reading performed by creator and producer Andrew Miller and stars Kevin Bacon, P.J. Byrne, Toks Olagundoye, Haley Tju, and Emily Tremaine.
Bacon had the initial idea to bring back the character. “It’s pretty much the only character I’d ever played in a movie that I ever thought, ‘This would be a fun guy to check out 25 years later,’ just because he was a mess. Finding out what had happened to him post worms would be an interesting journey,” he said.
Miller confirmed that the project was, in fact, dead, but shared details of what may have been.

You can check that episode out Here.
Well now we've got a bit more info on the series so let share the news. First bit of news, Location! It stars Peter Sarsgaard as social psychologist Stanley Milgram and Winona Ryder as his wife Sasha, with Jim Gaffigan, John Leguizamo, Taryn Manning, Ned Eisenberg, Anton Yelchin, Dennis Haysbert, Lori Singer, Harley Ware, Tom Farrell, Emily Tremaine and Anthony Edwards. Milgram student Harold Takooshian was invited to join the cast, becoming a "Familiar Stranger".
Peter Sarsgaard as Stanley Milgram
No stranger to me, Harold met me at Lincoln Center, to discuss his role in the film and as Science Advisor to Michael Almereyda. On Tuesday, November 10, a public forum on Stanley Milgram: the Experimenter, will be hosted by Fordham University, in cooperation with the Manhattan Psychological Association, and Apa Division of Social Issues.
