Unlike Tom Hooper, not many filmmakers can say they got an Academy Award for best direction with their second film, but that's exactly what fate had in store for the director with The King's Speech. Undoubtedly, a cinematic jewel to global cinema, accompanied with an impeccable cast, the film is based on King George VI who reluctantly assumes the throne after his brother abandons his position. George (Bertie), who is plagued by a dreaded stammer, is also considered unworthy of becoming king. With the orthodox therapist, Lionel Logue lending a helping hand, Bertie undergoes a set of unique methods, and as a result of an improbable friendship he is able to overcome his verbal pitfalls to boldly lead the country through the cold war. The King's Speech has swept the Oscars taking away four Academy Awards but an interesting ingredient that made up the story was the visual effects (VFX) in the film.

Politics is a touchy subject and creates controversies, so much so that a making a film on politics is a risk few filmmakers are willing to take. However Prakash Jha, who's dirtied his hands in the rough and tumble of actual politics, and even fought a general election, is a master when it comes to making movies on political subjects: Gangaajal, Apaharan and now Raajneeti. Produced by Utv Motion Pictures and Prakash Jha, Raajneeti was shot in Bhopal entirely and took approximately 800 man days to complete 175 visual effects shots. Pixion, one of India's leading vfx houses added sheen to the film. Prasad Sutar the VFX Supervisor & Creative Head at Pixion worked in tandem with Prakash Jha on the pre-production & on location to setthe scale required for the film.
