Set to premiere at the inaugural IndieCork Film Festival in County Cork, Ireland on October 19 at 7pm, Sodium Party is an experimental non-linear thriller set between both modern day and the protagonist’s childhood. Claire (Slaine Kelly) is a girl whose childhood was sheltered by a controlling mother. After the deaths of her parents, she leaves for college and the life she never experienced. A new world opens to her as she meets Danny (James Corscadden), a college student obsessed with photography, who is as taken with Claire as she is with him. He introduces her to a life that she never had, where they go to parties, and experiment with all there is to experiment with. But just as life seems to be going her way, Hannah, an imaginary friend from her childhood, begins to appear and haunt Claire, and her life begins to unravel in front of her...

In case you’re not so familiar with this title, we’re here to inform you that Comedown is an upcoming horror-thriller (currently in post-production) which comes from director Menhaj Huda and has quite interesting cast on board. More about that in the rest of this report, where you’ll also find the first trailer & poster for the whole thing, as well as some pretty cool images – don’t miss!
Huda directs the movie from a script written by Steven Kendall, which centers on a South-East London teens who break into an abandoned tower block but soon realize there is someone else in the building – not a friendly psychopath, that’s for sure!

The Irish are known for two things: poetry and drinking. Some of the greatest creative minds have come from the land of 1000 welcomes while others have squandered the opportunity to carry on the great literary tradition of Ireland by drowning in Guinness and pub spillage. In Zonad, a great mind of a different breed descends upon the sleepy, quaint village of Ballymoran in the form of an overweight alien with an overgrown bicycle helmet who proceeds to become the town hero whilst consuming as much alcohol as possible.
