Former Visceral level designer Zach Wilson took to Twitter and revealed that Dead Space 2 cost about $60 million to produce. Despite the costs, the game only sold around 4 million copies.
Wilson also noted that EA was "merciless" when it came to their spending on Dead Space 2. Wilson hinted that a large chunk of that money went towards the game's promotion which may have severely cut into the eventual profits from the sequel's seemingly respectable sales figures.

It's no secret that Visceral Studios - the EA studio behind acclaimed the Dead Space series and this year's Battlefield Hardline - has been working on a story-driven Star Wars game since last year.
Details have been thin on the ground, but social media posts by staff working on the game - including former Uncharted leads Amy Hennig and Todd Shashwick, as well as voice actor Nolan North - indicate that the title could be dedicated to Han Solo.
Numerous posts over the last few months, as identified by Game Informer, have included appearances of Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon, as well as references to pirates and quotes from Solo himself.

Game Informer has come to that conclusion following a series of teases over social media by the developers.
