Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson has been hit with a $2.75 Million fine by the NFL for workplace misconduct -- misconduct which included sexual harassment and racist language. The NFL says an investigation into Richardson substantiated the claims made by Panthers employees who claimed Richardson sexually harassed female staffers and used the n-word. The NFL says the investigation -- led by former U.S. attorney Mary Jo White -- also showed the improper conduct in the organization was limited to Richardson.

Jerry Richardson will sell his Carolina Panthers at the end of the season in the wake of an investigation into allegations of his “workplace misconduct,” the NFL confirms. At least four former Panthers staffers have received monetary settlements due to Richardson’s inappropriate workplace comments, including sexually suggestive language and behavior, and the use of a racial slur toward an African-American scout, Sports Illustrated reports.
