- He had four children, 3 daughters and a son: Margaret Lavern, Judy Lavern, Jimmie Lee, and Phillip Lee.
- Enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves December 20, 1963 and served through December 19, 1969 (6 years).
- April 30, 1979 he re-enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, served 7 years and received his second Honorable Discharge on April 29, 1986. During this reenlistment he voluntarily mobilized for Active Duty, serving 39 months as the Non Commission Officer in Charge of Recruiting Substation Katy, Texas, USA.
- He was featured as the "Accountant/Executioner" in the music video "No Shelter" (1998) by the American rap metal band "Rage Against The Machine". A little known fact is the "No Shelter" shooting location was the abandoned Pacific Power and Light Substation at the north end of Figueroa Street in Eagle Rock, California, USA. "No Shelter" was nominated for a Grammy Award as 1999's Best Metal Performance.
- (April 30, 2002 to November 1, 2004) He was on honorable withdrawal from both the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) while he was professionally licensed during this said time by the State of California, USA as a Talent Agent.
