In her directorial debut, Spanish actress Penélope Cruz proves she knows how to make one hot—or should we say caliente!—film. The Oscar-winning actress went behind the camera to direct a lengthy advertisement for the lingerie line that she helped design with sister Monica for Agent Provocateur, and we're pretty sure the risqué fall-winter campaign will get rave reviews from men the world over. The supersexy ad sees Spanish actor Miguel Angel Silvestre slipping on a pair of L'Agent sunglasses that allow the oh-so-lucky leading man to see a houseful of partying models clad in skimpy underthings. "The campaign film was very personal and important for me," Cruz says in...

Sacha Baron Cohen has fallen out with Queen over a proposed warts-and-all biopic of the late singer. We imagine how some other cleaned-up portrayals might pan out
The actor Sacha Baron Cohen has backed away from playing Freddie Mercury in a feature-length biopic, apparently after falling out with surviving members of the band Queen. According to the website Deadline, Baron Cohen was keen to star in a warts-and-all, R-rated portrayal of the singer, while Mercury's former band mates Brian May and Roger Taylor are insisting on a rather more family-friendly – and, one imagines, considerably shorter – PG version.
The whole project is now in doubt, but what if May and Taylor get their way? Could the family-friendly, PG biopic become the industry standard? Who else's life might be ripe for reassessment?

Manchester City target Radamel Falcao has been given permission by current club Atletico Madrid to move to the Etihad this summer, according to The Sun.
The La Liga side will reward the Colombian for helping them qualify for next season’s Champions League by green lighting the big money move to the ex-Premier League champions, according to the report.
City have been linked with a move for the South American goal-machine, who has netted 34 goals in 40 overall appearances this season.
However, they could face stiff competition from ambitious French side Monaco, who have just been promoted back into Ligue 1 and are bankrolled by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev.
They are reportedly preparing to table a £50 million offer for the ex-Porto man, as they aim to mark their return to the top flight in France next season with a huge statement of intent.

Mexico City, Feb 11 (Ians/Efe) With a combination of catchy numbers and a great deal of energy, Chayanne and Marc Anthony got the more than 100,000 people attending their free concert in the Zocalo, Mexico City's main plaza, up and dancing on the weekend.

Barcelona’s only concern is Xavi, who is out with an ankle injury, and has been for the past four games – though Barca haven’t felt his absence particularly, remaining undefeated in all four. They will have Lionel Messi available up front, and no doubt buoyed by his new contract, which will keep him at Barcelona until he is at least 31.
Thiago is likely to take Xavi’s place.
Getafe manager Luis Garcia Plaza will be without defenders Rafa and Juan Varela due to injury as well as goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya, who is suspended after being sent off last week against Deportivo. Deputy Codina is assured to take his spot.

A new international trailer for Pedro Almodovar's upcoming 30,000 mile high-comedy I'm So Excited has arrived and yes it's in Spanish without any subtitles, but it would seem just watching it gives you a pretty good idea of the vibe in store even if you can't understand what they're saying. The film was already acquired by Sony Pictures Classics and opens on March 8 in Spain while a domestic date has not yet been announced. The story follows a group of people who are on the verge of a disaster with the whole film set entirely on a plane. The ensemble comedy is written and directed by Almodovar and the cast includes Javier Camara, Cecilia Roth, Lola Duenas, Raul Arevalo, Carlos Areces, Antonio de la Torre, Hugo Silva, Willy Toledo, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Blanca Suarez, Jose Luis Torrijo, Jose Maria Yazpik, Laya Marti with special collaborations from Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas and Paz Vega.

A new peak at Pedro Almodovar's latest, "I'm So Excited," has arrived. The Spanish auteur's cast includes Javier Camara, Cecilia Roth, Lola Duenas, Raul Arevalo, Carlos Areces, Antonio de la Torre, Hugo Silva, Willy Toledo, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Blanca Suarez, Jose Luis Torrijo, Jose Maria Yazpik and Laya Marti, plus "special collaborations from" Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas (who both appear in this new Spanish teaser) and Paz Vega. The two teasers below offer very little plot information, but assert that it may be the silliest entry into Almodovar's oeuvre. His last film was 2011's "The Skin I Live In." "I'm So Excited," will be released by Sony Pictures Classics next Summer. Watch the brand new teaser below: Rtve.es te adelanta el tráiler de 'Los amantes pasajeros', la nueva comedia de Pedro Almodóvar...

Hey, there, sweet reader. Today hasn’t been the sunshiniest of Fridays, so let’s take a break and watch something sure to elevate your mood. Pedro Almodovar‘s latest film, I’m So Excited (which was once referred to as The Standby Lovers, and has now clearly been renamed in honor of The Pointer Sisters’ song), has just sent out its first teaser trailer, and it is a delight. Drugs! Dancing! Lip-syncing! All on a jet hurdling through the sky! Get your tickets now. (Get it?) Back in June, we learned a bit about the film when Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz joined the cast, including its apparent plot: “a comedy…that’s about a plane full of people who reveal their most guarded secrets to one another when the aircraft starts to go down.” And that’s just about all we know at this point, though it’s certainly not essential for enjoying said first...

An international version of this trailer for Pedro Almodovar's I'm So Excited was floating around earlier, but Sony Pictures Classics has now released a subtitled version for the film that will be hitting theaters in 2013 with a massive cast that includes Javier Camara, Cecilia Roth, Lola Duenas, Raul Arevalo, Carlos Areces, Antonio de la Torre, Hugo Silva, Willy Toledo, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Blanca Suarez, Jose Luis Torrijo, Jose Maria Yazpik, Laya Marti with special collaborations from Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas and Paz Vega. There isn't an official synopsis for the film, which follows a group of people who are on the verge of a disaster with the whole film set entirely on a plane, but based on what we see here it simply appears to be a comedy with bunch of goofiness. Hey Mayor Bloomberg! Governor Cuomo! Get your minds off the budget for a couple of days and consider this. Homeowners and residents in New York need guns, just like in Texas. Yeah, the big argument against abolishing gun laws is that honest citizens may not know how to use the equipment and will only get shot by the bad guys who do, but the way around this is to require 20 hours or so of training at licensed targets. But don't take my word for it. Check out Miguel angel Vivas's thriller "Kidnapped'" when it opens here in New York on June 17th. There's nothing in the picture that could not happen in real life, and in fact has happened-the most terrifying case in recent memory involving the Petit family in Cheshire, Connecticut, where two girls were doused with flammable liquid and died with their mother. Could something have been done to prevent this?...

As far as one-sheets go, this one is impressive. Miguel Angel Vivas' Kidnapped is, without a doubt, one of the most shocking announcements of a major new talent to hit the scene in 2010. It is an astounding film, phenomenally well made, and as compelling as it is uncomfortable. Which is to say 'very'. Which is what makes the new Us trailer released by IFC yesterday all the more unfortunate. Though I saw it yesterday it's taken until now to build up the inner strength required to post something as tragic as this. Because this trailer effectively destroys any chance that anyone not already familiar with the film will ever want to see it.Why? The footage chosen is all solid and represents the film fairly. We've run two [1] trailers [2] for the home invasion film Kidnapped in the past, but it's possible that you've passed over them. In the past few weeks, however, the buzz among horror enthusiasts has risen steadily in relation to the film -- it seems like every time I hit a site that covers films like Kidnapped there is someone writing with gusto about their reaction to the movie. It's a pretty simple setup: a small family's evening is violently disrupted when masked men invade their home. There are a couple of unique things about the movie, and it evidently builds to an insane conclusion. IFC is releasing it in June, and there is a new trailer to accompany that release. But be warned: the Spanish-language film is not subtitled, but dubbed in this trailer. I don't understand that at all -- the dubbing is simply awful. So you may want to...

Here's a crazy good trailer for an intense looking thriller called Kidnapped from director Miguel Angel Vivas. The movie looks like it could be really good, unfortunately the dubbing in this trailer is awful. I'd much rather watch this movie reading subtitles than have to deal bad dubbing. IFC Films has released an English-dubbed trailer for their latest acquisition, director Miguel Angel Vivas’ kidnapped thriller, well, “Kidnapped”. Home invasion movies are usually ones that I find to be a bit on the taxing side of the horror world. These are movies filled with a different kind of horror, a horror that is real and brutal as opposed to a horror that is supernatural, gross and involves Jigsaw. I often find that I need to bulk myself up a bit before watching a film, perhaps a few push ups, maybe a protein shake and a couple reps with the free weights, who knows. I feel the need to do this because the film takes a lot out of you, it's not necessarily enjoyable to watch and it really fucks you up come to think of it. When I finish watching them, I'm usually filled with an overwhelming desire to curl up in a ball and die.

The current state of genre cinema coming out of Spain right now has never looked healthier. Since Rec led the way in 2007, we've seen a series of stylish and memorable films including Timecrimes, Cell 211, Rec 2, The Orphanage, Julia's Eyes, The Last Circus, Agnosia and now Miguel Angel Vivas' frenetic and brutal home invasion thriller Kidnapped. The set-up is nothing particularly new, a family of three moves into its new home only to have their idyllic nest besieged by a trio of particularly nasty masked assailants. What makes Kidnapped stand out, and by golly this is a film that you wont forget in a hurry, is how Vivas introduces his characters, his creative staging of the unfolding horror and how time and...

One of the best genre films of the year is arriving On Demand June 15 before joining limited theaters on June 17. Miguel Angel Vivas' Kidnapped stars Guillermo Barrientos, Dritan Biba and Fernando Cayo as "Jaime, Marta and their daughter Isa who have just moved into a luxurious new house. Marta begins to prepare the dinner and puts a bottle of champagne on ice to celebrate the move. As night falls, three hooded men violently force their way into the house. Panic ensues and soon the real violence will begin." The movie is pretty brutal, and incredibly intense. Some proof lay in our exclusive images that can be found beyond the break. I know we've hit you with a ton of sales art for the various films up for grabs at the Cannes film market and, well, we've got one more for ya. This one is for Welcome to Harmony ; it's the next picture from Kidnapped (hitting the U.S. June 15) helmer Miguel Angel Vivas. His latest is set against the backdrop of Bangor, Maine and the story focuses on a father and daughter trying to survive in a world obliterated by chemical weapons after a massive war. In addition to having to contend with a neighbor, the father and daughter have to protect themselves against a zombie-like menace.

Italian master of horror Dario Argento’s next movie will be Dracula 3D, starring Rutger Hauer...
It's been quite a while since we last saw a really great movie from Dario Argento. His conclusion to the Three Mothers trilogy, The Mother Of Tears lacked the manic brilliance of Suspiria and Inferno, the films it was meant to belatedly follow up.
Argento's 2009 film, Giallo, saw the director return to his pulpy, horror thriller roots, though again, it couldn't match the gruesome creativity of his earlier genre efforts, such as Tenebrae or Deep Red.
There's a new possibility, though, that Argento's next movie could see him recapture the verve of his earlier work. Announced in March, Dracula 3D sounds like almost too perfect to be true: one of horror's directing legends let loose on the most famous vampire tale of all. And to top it off, Rutger Hauer's starring in it.

It’s no secret around Dtb that I am a huge fan of Dario Argento. Though I will completely admit that his recent films are huge disappointments on so many levels, I still hold hope that the Italian maestro of horror has at least one great film left in him. Is Dracula 3D going to be that film . . . I hope . . . because Argento isn’t getting any younger. Though I would have loved if the director had tackled a more original subject, I do feel that Argento’s visual style and “roving camera” (think the great crane shot in Tenebre) will translate really well with the 3D technology. Continue reading to get a taste of the bloody story that will be exhibited in the upcoming film.

No matter how you slice it, Dario Argento is in serious need of a good movie. Over the years the master has been slipping with his flicks to the point of them not even resembling any of his previous works. It's kind of heartbreaking. Will his latest film, Dracula 3D, have enough bite to get things on track?
We'll find out soon enough. Below you'll find some fresh sales art and an impossibly long plot crunch.
Marta Gastini (The Rite), Rutger Hauer (Hobo With a Shotgun, The Hitcher), Asia Argento (Land of the Dead), Miguel Angel Silvestre and Miriam Giovanelli star.

Italian horror thriller director Dario Argento has been planning his next film Dracula 3D which is another adaptation of the classic novel by Bram Stoker. It was announced today that Marta Gastini (The Rite), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner, Hobo With a Shotgun), Asia Argento (Land of the Dead), Miguel Angel Silvestre and Miriam Giovanelli will all star in the film.
I love some Argento's earlier film work like Suspiria, but most of the films he's made these days have unfortunately been pretty terrible. I would love to see him make another great film, but we've seen so many different Dracula interpretations over the years already, that I'm not really that excited about it. Just because it will be in 3D doesn't mean it's going to be good.
Here we have a movie poster and full detailed synopsis of the film for you to check out.

On April 22-23, Asbury Park, NJ will once again be taken over by the most toxic film festival in the world! (That’s a good thing.) The 12th annual Tromadance is two days and nights filled with depraved cinematic abuses that will leave you a shattered, emotional wreck. (That’s a good thing, too.)
This year, the fest will screen three feature films, a buttload of shorts, plus two mini-retrospectives.
The features are: 1. Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson‘s gonzo The Taint, a social satire filled with so much gore and sexual degeneracy you might want to wear a raincoat to the screening; 2. Joshua Grannell‘s horror spoof All About Evil, starring Natasha Lyonne and Cassandra Peterson about a psychotic film auteur who kills people on camera; 3. Miguel Angel Vivas’ brutal assault film Kidnapped.
