I love visiting New York City, and New York Comic Con is one of my favorite shows. I always have a great time, and this year was no exception. One other thing that remains consistent every year I go is that it all goes by in a total whirlwind blur, and I can barely remember all the things I saw and did, or when they occurred.
But for you, my faithful readers who may not have been able to attend, I’ll try to remember some of the best parts of the weekend, and, as Inigo Montoya would say, “sum up.” So here we go! In no particular order, some of the coolest experiences I had in NYC:
I saw First Date, the Broadway musical starring Zachary Levi, and it was fantastic. I also interviewed Zac at The Nerd Machine booth during the con – so stay tuned for my review...

As part of this years McM Expo London Comic Con, Namco Bandai brought over artists and writers from their new webcomics publisher ShiftyLook, including Bravoman writer and artist Matt Moylan and Dax Gordine, Jim Zub (Wonder Momo), Ben McCool (Dirk Davies), Dean Haspiel (Dirk Davies), along with new ShiftyLook writer, and comics legend, Marv Wolfman, and ShifyLook’s Editor-in-Chief Rob Pereyda.
For those unfamiliar with ShiftyLook, it takes classic Namco Bandai video game properties and gives them an update, web comic style – resurrecting characters and titles that have long been forgotten by many – except perhaps die-hard video game nerds such as myself! With titles ranging from the familiar such as Dig Dug, Rolling Thunder and Xevious, to the more obscure, including Wonder Momo, Warp & Warp and Bravoman, there’s literally something for everyone.

2012 will be the first year that GeekTrant will invade WonderCon, mostly due to the fact that it was moved down to Anaheim, CA this year which is right in our backyard. We're all pretty excited about attending this year, as we've heard it's a much smaller more intimate version of San Diego Comic Con.
WonderCon is set to open on Friday, March 16th and run through Sunday, March 18th at the Anaheim Convention Center. If you plan on attending let us know, and maybe we can meet up and hang out for a bit!
I've put stars next to the panels we are interested in attending. Check out the schedule, and let us know what you are looking forward to seeing most!
Friday March 16th
12:30-1:30 Idw Presents: The Idw Panel!— Chief creative officer Chris Ryall and sergeant of marketing Dirk Wood, give out prizes, make announcements, and evade questions!
