Superheroes like Iron Man and Batman may have an edge to them, but not quite like these guys.
The action-comedy short Special Forces takes place in a world in which supervillains have become so much of a problem that law enforcement has incorporated super-powered vigilantes into their ranks.
But the two Special Forces members at the center of this story, Eugene (Mort Burke) and Genesis (Tania Gunadi), aren't actually that great at the whole superhero thing. As the quirky trailer shows, their growing powers lead to some surprises along the way.

A few days after it released Biatches, Comedy Central's Cc:Studios outlet has a new series to present to its viewers. It has debuted the first three episodes of Pie Guys, a comedy co-directed by actor Ike Barinholtz and starring Jon Barinholtz, Rob Belushi and Mort Burke. Pie Guys fits neatly into a recent Comedy Central trend where most shows about a group of male friends resemble Workaholics and most shows about a group of female friends resemble Broad City. The three main characters here all work together at a pizza parlor, and they resemble the three protagonists from Workaholics. The first episode involves a particular strong strain of marijuana and an irate customer who ordered his pizza over an hour ago. Pie Guys is part of Cc:Studios' new lineup, which includes six projects helmed by comedians. I am personally excited about upcoming series from Dormtainment and Good Cop Great Cop,...

A quick review of tonight's "Enlisted" — and thoughts on the show's panel at the Austin TV Festival — coming up just as soon as my inspiration was a pimp who is a mermaid... "Enlisted" made its first public appearance a year ago when the pilot was screened in Austin, and may have made one of its last ones over the weekend when a packed movie theater audience got to watch the final three shows, including "General Inspection" and the ones set to air over the next two Sundays. Without giving too much away about what's coming, the theater got awfully dusty during the final scene, and not just because of everyone's awareness that this was probably the show's final moments. Now, both Kevin Biegel and Mike Royce suggested that there's still hope of it surfacing elsewhere, and that the show's big social media presence is "helping to keep us alive," according to Royce.
