Adolf Hitler is brought to justice in the season two finale of Hunters.
The final season of the Amazon drama tracks the group of Nazi hunters coming back together from separate paths in Europe in order to go after Hitler, who has been hiding at a compound in Argentina for the last 30 years and preparing for the Fourth Reich.
When the season kicks off, the hunters are scattered to the wind, having had a falling out following the events of the first season that is later revealed to be a result of Jonah (Logan Lerman) taking things too far and killing a child on their last mission. In the first episode, Jonah is seen staking out a brothel in Paris — though he has a fiancée at home — waiting for someone, who ends up being Nazi Biff Simpson (Dylan Baker) from season one. The first season of Prime Video’s “Hunters” series followed a fictional crew of civilians in late ‘70s New York who took out Nazis hiding in the US following Operation Paperclip. The team not only uncovered a German conspiracy to birth a Fourth Reich on American soil but discovered that one of their own was a former member of the Nazi regime.
The hit squad returns after almost a three-year hiatus for a second and final season this week, and features the entire team returning — including former MI6 agent and warrior nun Sister Harriet (Kate Mulvany), hacker and former Black Power movement member Roxy Jones (Tiffany Boone), munitions expert and Holocaust survivor Mindy Markowitz (Carol Kane), flamboyant actor and intel specialist Lonny Flash (Josh Radnor), former Marine Joe Torrance (Louis Ozawa Changchien) and new leader and codebreaker Jonah Heidelbaum (Logan Lerman). Hunters is a series created by David Weil starring Al Pacino, Logan Lerman and Saul Rubinek among others.
By Jordan Peele as executive producer, Hunters is in its second season with Al Pacino as maximum attraction of this series about nazi hunters which is appealing because of its aesthetics that are comic strip or “Seventies” look which will not go by unnoticed.
It is not by chance that this is a series with an unmistakeable Peele look, maximum exponent of the “new horror film”. Doubtlessly, this makes it special as well as the very unique way in which absurd is combined with a a series plot that at the same time is a very deep denouncement in social issues.
A very different, entertaining, funny, aesthetic and theatrical series that has a truly spectacular end of season in store for us. Not to be missed.

Plot: After an accident derails their exploits in Europe, The Hunters must band back together to hunt down history’s most infamous Nazi—Adolf Hitler—who’s hiding in South America. Meanwhile, a look to the past reveals Meyer Offerman (Al Pacino) encountering a dangerous threat that could unravel his secret and expose his true identity, with explosive reverberations for our Hunters.
Review: It is rare to see a television series go out on its own terms after such a short time on the air. Despite premiering three years ago, the second season of Hunters was delayed due to Covid-19. After so many years away, the dramatic series about Nazi hunters in the 1970s returns with a vastly different sophomore season which also serves as its last. I enjoyed the first season of this pulpy exploitation thriller, but I loved the second despite it feeling like a wholly different series.

Hunters will wrap up its run with its second season.
EW revealed Tuesday that the Prime Video series' second season will conclude the series.
Series creator David Weil opened up to the outlet about the impact of the series.

"So Hunters, being a show about catharsis, about Jewish empowerment, and about wish fulfillment for Jewish kids like me who grew up wanting to reclaim power, season 2, I hope, will be that catharsis."

The revolving door at Grey's Anatomy continues to spin.
Jesse Williams is exiting the beloved ABC medical drama after 12 years in the role of Jackson Avery.
The actor who first appeared on Grey's Anatomy Season 6 will exit on Grey's Anatomy Season 17 Episode 15, set to air May 20, according to Deadline.
No details have been given on how Jackson's final arc will play out, but we're inclined to believe he will survive his final episode.
The series wouldn't announce the exit this soon if something bad was going to happen to him.
“Jesse brings so much heart, such depth of care, and so much intelligence to his work,” Grey’s showrunner Krista Vernoff said in a statement to Deadline.
“We will miss Jesse terribly and we will miss Jackson Avery — played to perfection for so many years.”

When Al Pacino began his career over five decades ago, he and other aspiring film actors were discouraged from taking TV roles, so he strictly avoided them for 35 years. By the early 2000s, TV acting had gained much more respect thanks to a rise in prestige dramas. Pacino jumped on board and starred in the HBO miniseries “Angels in America,” which brought him an Emmy and a Golden Globe in 2004. Now, after starring in several successful TV movies over the past decade, he has earned his 19th competitive Globe bid for “Hunters,” his first continuing series.

It was big news earlier this year when Al Pacino appeared in his first-ever series regular TV role in the Amazon thriller “Hunters.” But the reviews were somewhat mixed, and the Emmys ultimately passed on it despite its star power. That might not be the last word on the series, though. Pacino is adored by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association that votes on the Golden Globes. Will he get his revenge for this revenge thriller?

Cinematographer Frederick Elmes, who was named as the winner of EnergaCamerimage Film Festival’s First Look – TV Pilots Competition on Saturday for his work on the Amazon series “Hunters,” spoke about the show’s first episode “In the Belly of the Whale” during an online Q&a earlier this week. Elmes explained that the story – following a diverse band of Nazi hunters in New York in 1977, who discover that war criminals are conspiring to create a Fourth Reich – was actually based in reality.
“The stories were told to [the “Hunters” showrunner] David Weil by his grandmother, who [was a Holocaust survivor] and has experienced much of the turmoil of that era. It’s not based on any factual document, but it is researched by him and he was very concerned that his grandmother’s story should be told. Amazon Prime’s new series “Hunters” has come under fire from the Auschwitz Memorial for being historically inaccurate, particularly by creating macabre games that take place in concentration camps.
The show’s creator David Weil responded to the criticism Sunday in a statement, explaining that “symbolic representations provide individuals access to an emotional and symbolic reality that allows us to better understand the experiences of the Shoah.” Weil pushes back against the idea that stories about the Holocaust should never be fictionalized, saying “It is not documentary. And it was never purported to be.”
The memorial’s Twitter account called a violent scene featuring a human chess game “dangerous foolishness” and a “caricature.” In the scene, which is depicted in the opening credits of all 10 episodes and plays out in the first episode, a Jewish chess master is held captive and forced to play a game of chess where the...

Showrunners David Weil and Nikki Toscano on creating the wild Hunters out of unspeakable tragedy.
You’ve never seen a TV series quite like Hunters. Created by David Weil, who serves as co-showrunner with Nikki Toscano, and produced by Amazon and Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, the 10-episode series is set in 1977 and follows a ragtag, diverse group of clandestine spies, researchers and assassins who are out to find and stop a wave of Nazis who have infiltrated the United States. The Hunters are tracking down potentially hundreds of surviving Nazi monsters, who are here to hatch a diabolical plan and soon begin hunting the Hunters as well.
While running down Nazis in America is neither a new or, sadly, fictional idea, Hunters takes the concept to extremes. The series whipsaws between solemn flashbacks to the horrors of the concentration camps, heightened scenes of action and violence in its 1977 setting,...

“You thought the war was over?” a character intones menacingly within the first five minutes of Hunters. “No, dear. Only the dead know the end of war.”
The scene — and the carnage that ends it — sets the tone for Amazon’s newest drama, which chronicles a grassroots team’s take-no-prisoners efforts to eradicate Nazis who have infiltrated America. Viewers are brought into the action after tragedy befalls a Jewish teen named Jonah (played by the Percy Jackson films’ Logan Lerman); in his attempts to achieve justice, Jonah finds himself making the acquaintance of the avuncular Meyer Offerman (Scent of a Woman...

Nearly 45 years after Al Pacino and Carol Kane appeared in Sidney Lumet’s classic film “Dog Day Afternoon,” an Amazon Prime Video series about Nazi-hunters in 1977 New York City has brought them back together. Go figure.
“I’m proud to be working with him again,” Kane told Variety at the “Hunters” premiere on Wednesday night in Los Angeles. “We also did some theater back in the day. I find that he’s grown in so many ways, and we’ve both changed, of course, because we’re considerably older.”
Older? Maybe. More iconic? Certainly. As Pacino hit the green carpet outside the DGA Theater, the cast, crew and the reporters immediately paid him reverence. With “Hunters,” Pacino takes on his first series regular role, starring as Meyer Offerman, who heads a diverse group fighting against high-ranking Nazi officials attempting to set up a Fourth Reich in the United States. Logan Lerman...
