Foundation's initial issue was all about origins and where characters, such as the main character Rasa, started. Issue 2 however is quite the opposite of that, and starts to solidify its tie to the Mass Effect universe. The missing ingredient was everyone's favorite krogan, Wrex. Issue 1 was solid overall, but only felt connected due to its numerous references, while 2 feels as if it stepped out of the game due to how familiar Mac Walters is in writing Wrex. His voice is pitch perfect, so much so that when he calls someone a stunted pyjak I hear Steven Barr's voice. Urdnot splits the book with Rasa and Kai leng, who, surprise surprise, is just as much of a tool in the books as he was in the games.
