- Began singing as The Darling Sisters. They eventually became dancers at the Peppermint Lounge in New York City.
- Colpix Records signed them to their first recording contract, but they achieved fame when they were signed by Phil Spector for his Philles Records. Their biggest hit song was "Be My Baby" in 1963. Other hits included "Walkin' in the Rain", "Baby, I Love You" and "Sleigh Ride".
- The group split up in 1967.
- Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in March of 2007.
- Their biggest hit, 1963's "Be My Baby", was originally called "My One and Only Baby".
