Swift has been a music star for half of her life. She was only 16 when her self-titled debut was released in 2006. That country breakthrough was certified seven-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for its massive sales, and it earned her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. But it was her next album that exploded her career.

Beyoncé has receipts.
In a recent interview with The Sun, brothers Fred and Richard Fairbrass of Right Said Fred criticized the pop superstar for allegedly sampling their song “I’m Too Sexy” without asking.

“Normally the artist approaches us but Beyoncé didn’t because she is such an arrogant person she just had probably thought ‘come and get me’ so we heard about it after the fact when you did,” they claimed. “But everyone else, Drake and Taylor Swift, they came to us.”
The band’s classic hit “I’m Too Sexy” was interpolated on Beyoncé’s “Alien Superstar”, from her most recent album, Renaissance.
In a statement to Pitchfork, Beyoncé totally refuted the claim by Right Said Fred that she did not get permission.

Look what you made her do… Taylor Swift fans started buzzing after a new cover of her song "Look What You Made Me Do" debuted on Sunday night's episode of Killing Eve. In a social media post, the 30-year-old artist claimed she was "Very Stoked" about the new rendition and credited the group "Jack Leopards & the Dolphin Club" as the performers. There's just one thing: The band doesn't seem to actually exist. In fact, Swift is credited as one of the composer lyricists along with Jack Antonoff, Richard Fairbrass, Fred Fairbrass and Rob Manzoli—the same songwriters who are credited on the original reputation hit. But that's not all. "Nils...

Taylor Swift is nothing if not generous. "Look What You Made Me Do," the lead single off her sixth studio album Reputation, debuted at midnight and shot to the top of the iTunes sales charts. Swift wrote the song with producer Jack Antonoff, and it samples Right Said Fred's No. 1 hit "I'm Too Sexy" (first released in 1991). After Taylor's new anthem debuted, Right Said Fred tweeted, "What a marvellous reinvention!" To show their appreciation, Antonoff and Swift gave Fred Fairbrass, Richard Fairbrass and Rob Manzoli songwriting credits, and on Friday, the trio received a floral arrangement. "Look what you made us do," the two musicians wrote. "We love you and can't...

Taylor Swift's new single "Look What You Made Me Do" is finally here, and fans are already in overdrive trying to decipher exactly who the Grammy winner might be referring to in the lyrics. And while the beloved pop star has been adamant in the past about not identifying which people her songs are about, Swifties didn't hesitate to draw to their own conclusions. Swift wrote the song along with Jack Antonoff, Fred Fairbrass, Richard Fairbrass and Rob Manzoli. The song samples the 1992 house single "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred. Is Swift singing about Kanye West? That's the question fans began asking after taking a closer look at these lyrics: "I don't like your...

Fred and Richard Fairbrass, the musical duo best known as Right Said Fred, are attending the Afm to talk about their film plans.
The brothers are involved with three films at the moment. UK quirky comedy Meet Pursuit Delange is editing now for a summer 2015 release. The Fairbrass brothers have written two songs that appear in the film. Richard Fairbrass describes the feature as “quintessentially English.”
Howard Webster writes and directs and the film stars Jason Flemyng and Colin Salmon. The brothers appear on screen playing two guardian angels. “It’s a Kafka-esque scene,” Richard says.
They are also working on music for Roger Gual’s Barcelona Connection, which will shoot in spring/summer 2015 in Barcelona, London and Florida. Fred Fairbrass, who lives near Barcelona, calls that project “a funny detective story.” In that film, the brothers are likely to play a pair of animal-rights activists.

Among Syrian despot Bashar al-Assad’s many sins is his poor taste in music. CNN recently learned that the Middle Eastern president has been buying music off iTunes — and that his purchases include “Sexy and I Know It” by Lmfao and “Look at Me Now” by Chris Brown. Chris Brown? Really, Assad?
Assad also purchased a song by Right Said Fred, the band behind the early ’90s hit “I’m Too Sexy.” So naturally, John Oliver brought the group onto Sunday’s episode of Last Week Tonight, where they returned the favor (sort of). Brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass performed...

While Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant have been rightly celebrated for creating some of the best, most observant comedy of the last few years in "The Office" and "Extras," the success and brilliance of those shows have been possible due to their willingness to eviscerate the main characters. David Brent and Andy Millman both have their ego and hubris splashed heavily with buckets of cold water throughout both series. What has made both of those shows rise beyond their seeming sitcom trappings, has been the greater character truths that arrive as their grand ambitions face hard and harsh reality.
After the end of season one's first three episodes (review here) of "Life's Too Short," we last see Warwick Davis standing in a garbage pail, acting as a stand-in opposite a very picky Helena Bonham Carter as she shoots a period movie. It's a riotously funny moment, but in many ways...

In tonight’s episode Warwick’s personal life continued to fall apart as his wife shacked up with her divorce lawyer and his brainless assistant ensured that he got off on the wrong foot with his new neighbors. That apart, we got to see Ricky Gervais upset Steve Carell via Skype during a scene which had absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the show.
Presumably Gervais either likes the sound of his own voice or he didn’t trust Warwick Davis to hold together the show on his own. Either way, it would not have taken much of an effort for Gervais and Merchant to write themselves and their Hollywood friends into the show in a way that actually added something to the general storyline. Liam Neeson...

Father-of-three Glyn Carpenter horrified the Britain's Got Talent judges by stripping off at the Birmingham auditions.
Before facing Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden, ex-Army driver Glyn described his act as "totally unique - when the judges see it they won't ever see anything like this again".
