Mags (Laurence Leboeuf) isn’t out of the woods just yet on Transplant. The last episode ended with her collapsing and having to be cardioverted twice following a massive arrhythmia, and now, in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the November 9 “Nadir,” Bash (Hamza Haq) is asleep at her hospital bedside when the monitor alerts him to an issue. He immediately runs to get help and calls for Dr. Fisher (Deena Aziz), who soon insists that anyone not part of the cardiology department leave as she treats her patient. That’s around the time Theo (Jim Watson) arrives and tries to calm down his friend. “I was asleep. Her rhythm jumped up and I didn’t hear it in time,” Bash says. But “what would you have done, call the nurse a split second before the monitor?” Theo asks. Watch the full clip above as Theo and June (Ayisha Issa...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Transplant Season 3 Episode 4 “Multiple Choice.”] Uh-oh, one of the docs is down! Transplant‘s latest episode ends with Dr. Magalie “Mags” Leblanc (Laurence Leboeuf) now one of the hospital’s patients. It comes as she’s worried about her future working with Dr. Fisher (Deena Aziz) after disagreeing with her about the data they are to present on abnormal left ventricular ejection fractions; Fisher says they’re focusing on the results to get the funding. But Mags worries that Fisher owning stock in the company marketing the Icd (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) is a conflict. Fisher assures her it isn’t according to the ethics board — and reminds her that she went to bat for her to switch residences and the condition of that is Mags doing the study. But on her way to the presentation, Mags is distracted helping a patient she bumps into, and by the time she meets up...

Production is underway in Montreal for Season 3 of Syfy’s Being Human and we’re beginning to get details of some story ideas that will take center stage. As we know Season 2 finale left us with Sally (Meaghan Rath) in limbo, Aidan (Sam Witwer) buried alive, and Josh (Sammy Huntington) and Nora (Kristen Hager) in a werewolf version of a Mexican standoff. But we know that in the game of television, until we see their deaths that there’s no danger in any of the four leads. That’s right, I said four leads. Hager was added as a series regular for Season 3, so we’ll no longer see her name in the “guest-starring” section of the opening credits. Congrats to Kristen and read below for the spoilers.
A new romance was announced for Aidan (who may be sporting some heinous facial hair this season) on Zap2It. Her name is Kat,...

Title: The Moth Diaries Directed By: Mary Harron Starring: Sarah Bolger, Lily Cole, Sarah Gadon, Valerie Tian, Melissa Farman, Deena Aziz, Laurence Hamelin, Scott Speedman Of course you want a horror movie to be a good film, but there’s no denying that this genre can get away with a lot; mask bad performances with intense suspense or fill in plot holes using bloody good fun. However, when you’re an all-around failure like The Moth Diaries, there’s no successful asset to use as a crutch, and the whole production suffers exponentially for it. After the untimely death of her father, Rebecca (Sarah Bolger) has found solace in her home away from [ Read More ]...

The Season 2 finale of Being Human, “It’s My Party and I’ll Die if I Want To” completed a circle for Josh (Sammy Huntington) and Aidan (Sam Witwer) that began at the season premiere, “Turn This Mother Out.” Sally’s (Meaghan Rath) funny but poignant line–their last scene in the house together by the way–summed up the entire episode.
Sally: You two are about to go on two killing sprees for women… That is so hot.
Josh and Nora (Kristen Hager) found themselves in another standoff– this time against Josh’s maker, Ray (Andreas Apergis) and as humans, not wolves. In “Turn This Mother Out,” Aidan dug up his former love, Suren (Dichen Lachman) after an 80-year punishment and his fate is unknown after he’s thrown into the same casket that she laid in for decades but with her ashes covering his body.

Being Human Season 2, Episode 11 “Don’t Fear the Scott” Air Date: 3/26/12
The mantra of this week’s Being Human is that “time heals all wounds,” a cliché warped by the presence of vampires, werewolves and ghosts, and as something that is revealed as not true through the events of another hour of great TV.
Aidan and Suren, in love and proud of their work in ridding Boston of the orphans, nervously prepare for Mother’s (Deena Aziz) imminent arrival. Josh and Julia, newly love birds (again), take it slow after a “guy stole [Josh’s] penis,” to consummate it, because they’re worried about diving all in after how damaged they were before. Plus, Julia doesn’t want to go to his place because Aidan called her a slut and she hates his guts. That and the house is haunted, probably smells and looks like it’s on a shady side of town,...

Episode 208 “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”
After last week’s surprise ending where Aidan (Sam Witwer) blasted a hole in Connor’s (Jon Cor) heart, we expected him to lay low and deal with the aftermath, but he managed to top that feat this week. Also Josh (Sam Huntington) gets an intervention and Sally (Meaghan Rath) considers her current status of unemployment in what was another fine week of Being Human.
Sally
Last week’s haunting of Sally was a tease because we actually thought Danny (Gianpaolo Venuta) was back this season but thankfully (?) he was shredded by the Grim Reaper (Dusan Dukic), but what was unsettling heading into “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” was knowing that Sally’s time was coming. The Reaper had to fill his quota, and maintain the balance in the afterlife. What would be her way out? Become the grim reaper...

The Moth Diaries Trailer. Mary Harron‘s The Moth Diaries (2011) movie trailer stars Lily Cole, Sarah Bolger, Scott Speedman, Anne Day-Jones, and Sarah Gadon. The Moth Diaries‘ plot synopsis: “Adolescence is and always will be a time of intense emotional confusion, especially if you spend it in a closed environment. That’s the case with Rebecca, a young girl haunted by her father’s suicide, who is a student at an exclusive female boarding school.
She pours her heart out in a diary, much of it focused on Lucy, her beloved roommate. Their relationship changes drastically with the arrival of a mysterious new student, Ernessa. As Lucy abandons her for this new girl, Rebecca becomes consumed with thoughts of jealousy and suspicion — Ernessa is dangerous, evil, a vampire. Is there any truth to all this or is Rebecca slipping into insanity?”

Ep. 201 Turn This Mother Out
Being Human finally returned to Syfy with its second season Monday night and it was great to get back on the ride that thrilled us a year ago. The theme this year is “Temptation is a Beast” and even though we’ve had hints of what that means for Aidan (Sam Witwer), Josh (Sammy Huntington), and Sally (Meaghan Rath), we got to see how one of our roommates will be forced into revisiting his dark side. Every character got a great moment in the premiere and was set up what the future holds for them in Season 2.
Josh & Nora
Rarely have I led off a Being Human review with Josh but what a great way to end the season premiere, with Heggeman (Terry Kinney) getting that final shot as the camera went black. We were so consumed with the revelation of Nora (Kristen Hager) turning into a werewolf,...
