It’s Monday so you know what that means, it’s time for our weekly review of Aew: Rampage! This week’s show aired straight after Collision on Saturday night and, like that show, emanated from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Candaa. This show featured Tony Schiavone, Nigel McGuinness and Matt Menard on commentary. Now let’s get to the review…
Match #1: Trent Beretta def. Dalton Castle The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Castle threw Trent to the mat with a gut wrench. Dalton cracked Trent with a running knee strike, knocking Trent off the apron to the floor. Trent spiked Dalton with a draping Ddt on the apron. Trent and Dalton collided into one another with lariats, both falling to the mat from the impact of the double clotheslines. Dalton Castle slammed Trent to the mat with a gut wrench suplex. Trent fired back with a piledriver for a near fall.

The 2000s saw the action genre in a state of flux. The Matrix revolutionized everything at the end of the previous decade, The Bourne Supremacy would make shaky cameras standard practice in 2004, and the MCU would take flight with Iron Man in 2008. At the same time, Michael Bay reached his ultimate form with Bad Boys II, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Kill Bill made kung fu classy, and Oldboy changed the way we look at hallways.
Within those changes came a host of greats that didn’t get the same attention. Some of these movies represent the first steps in the development of those who would define the genre, such as Scott Adkins and Gareth Evans. Some find stars at the height of the powers, such as Donny Yen and Michael Jai White. And some are just cool, because that’s really all an action movie needs.

A one armed man selling shoes, a lady with a log obsession, evil spirits called Bob who feed on pain and suffering, dwarves speaking backwards, a ton of doughnuts, plus a murder mystery with a killer reveal. It can only be one crazy series, can’t it? That’s right my fellow wonderful gore-hounds, we’re taking a psychedelic trip to the fictional Washington town of Twin Peaks. The original show ran from 1990 to 1991 and followed an investigation by FBI agent Dale Cooper, played to perfection by Kyle MacLachlan, into the murder of Sheryl Lee’s homecoming queen, Laura Palmer. The series didn’t end there though, no siree, writer / director David Lynch had grander plans for the residents of Twin Peaks.
In fact, in was only one year later, 1992, that Lynch unleashed his big screen movie based around the events leading up to the first season of the show; prequel,...

Launched more than thirty years ago, David Lynch’s iconic mystery drama show Twin Peaks had a long and quite unstable television run with the second season potentially wrapping it all up back in 1991 and then coming back again with season 3 in 2017.
However badly the longtime fans of the series wanted to see more of Special Agent Dale Cooper on the screen, Twin Peaks had almost zero chances to be ever revived, but a significant update from the show’s executive producer might turn things into a new direction.
During her latest Q&a online section, David Lynch’s producing partner Sabrina Sutherland was asked whether the director had some ideas stock for Twin Peaks’ potential fourth season. The producer revealed that, though she’s mostly not a part of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s writing team, she’s yet aware of the fact that Lynch had never given up on another season anyway.

Rarely does film news engender such outcry as word of Netflix cancelling David Lynch’s animated feature Snootworld––and understandably so––but I’m far more incensed to learn they also canned his series Unrecorded Night. Little was known about it: speculation / conjecture ranged from a Twin Peaks continuation that’s actually called Wisteria (start down this rabbit hole if you want to feel a little insane) to six-or-so feature-length projects in an anthology series. We now may never know, as Sabrina Sutherland told members of the Twin Peaks fan forum Tulpa:
“Unrecorded Night was a non-Twin Peaks series that was going to shoot at Netflix but was cancelled when the pandemic hit. There’s always a chance we can pick it up again, but David has been enjoying his artwork and music endeavors, so we haven’t gone back to it yet.”
A state of affairs made worse by Sutherland’s note that,...

Supreme Court oral arguments were made for social media. Social media was not made to make Supreme Court arguments persuasive or even understandable.
The court’s latest Donald Trump case is a perfect illustration. The justices on this court are relatively young. Their questions are clear and direct, and they all are engaged, respectful, and fair. If you listen from start to finish, you can’t help but think this is the most deliberate and serious branch of the three-ring circus that is Washington, D.C.

US Representative Maxwell Alejandro Frost has introduced a new bill titled the Create Art Act, aimed at providing federal grants to musicians, artists, and other creatives.
Announced today at a press conference and mini-concert in Washington DC, the Create Art Act — fully titled The Create (Cultivating Resources for Emerging Artists to Thrive and Excel) Art Act — hopes to create four new federal grants for artists, which would provide anywhere from $2,000 to $100,000 for artistic activities, projects, live performances, living expenses, and more.
Specifically, a “Progress Grant” would provide $2,000 to support a year of artist activities, while a “Development Fund” can grant up to $10,000 to cover living expenses during research and cultivation stages. For bigger projects, there will be a “Project Grant, providing up to $100,000 over the course of two years. There will also be a “Live Performance Grant,” which will give up to $35,000 for live performances.

It lasts roughly a minute and consists of only a handful of shots (and none of Edgar Wright’s trademark visual wizardry), yet the moment in Shaun Of The Dead when Simon Pegg’s hapless hero and his group of survivors round the corner and bump into another group is possibly the film’s most ambitious gag. Mainly because the other gang is played by a who’s who (then and now) of British comedy: Martin Freeman, Reece Shearsmith, Tamsin Greig, Spaced mainstay Julia Deakin, Matt Lucas and, at the vanguard, Pegg’s Spaced co-creator, Jessica Hynes. A finer cavalcade of cameos, you’ll never see.

David Lynch and Mark Frost’s iconic “Twin Peaks” surreal series had to be pulled back down to earth by network executives, especially when it came to providing a resolution for the central mystery.
The beloved series aired on ABC from April 1990 to June 1991; the show was later resurrected by Showtime with 2017’s “Twin Peaks: The Return.” Prequel film “Fire Walk With Me” centered around the events prior to “Twin Peaks,” which opens with high school character Laura Palmer’s murder.
According to co-creator Frost, ABC threatened to “stop sending us money” for production if Season 2 did not provide some resolution to Laura Palmer’s killing. Frost told Variety that Lynch would ideally have preferred for the mystery to “go on forever.”
“We literally had a gun to our head from the network,” Frost said. “As I recall, they were just going to stop sending us money if we didn’t deliver this.

Love never dies, but a lot of people do in Alice Lowe’s gloriously bloody valentine to the romantic comedy. Spanning so much time that it practically goes back to the beginning of it, Timestalker is an ambitious project that not only works, it coheres in a way that cements Lowe as a genuine and quite visionary comedic talent. It recalls classic Monty Python — it’s often very, very stupid and the same time very, very clever — but most of all it’s an idea of what might have been if that all-male team had ever had a woman or two in its core lineup.
Lowe set out her stall in 2016 with Prevenge, a horror comedy in which a bereaved pregnant woman is driven to avenge her late husband, incited to murder by her unborn baby. Timestalker doesn’t fall far from that tree, being another satirical comment on how...

Even in 1688, there were fuckboys. Such is the first and best lesson of Alice Lowe’s “Timestalker,” even if it’s one our leading lady Agnes has to learn over and over and over and over. That’s the gimmick of Lowe’s second feature film — a winning follow-up to her bloody good 2016 feature directorial debut “Prevenge” — which is billed as a “reincarnation rom com.” Mostly, the feature serves as a stellar reminder of the elasticity of genre and Lowe’s ability to stretch any apparent limits however she sees fit.
Consider Lowe’s sophomore film a canny, slightly sweeter companion to Bertrand Bonello’s similarly plotted “The Beast”: Both films follow a pair of star-crossed lovers who continue to meet in different times, places, and stations, only to fuck it up each time. In Lowe’s version, however, her Agnes is the only one aware of what’s actually unspooling here.

Princess Charlotte might be Prince William and Kate Middleton’s middle child, but the 8-year-old is more like the boss. At least of her brothers. According to a parenting expert, Charlotte keeps Prince George, 10, and Prince Louis, 5, “in check.” This may come as no surprise to royal watchers who might occasionally spot Charlotte telling others what to do.
Charlotte is well aware of the ‘rules’ and reminds George and Louis of them
When George needs a refresher on royal “rules,” Charlotte can help. The Prince and Princess of Wales’s daughter, who turns 9 in May 2024, “knows the rules,” Jo Frost, the parenting expert of Supernanny fame, told Hello! magazine.
“She’s the one in the middle,” Frost said of Charlotte. “She knows how to keep everyone in good stead.”

Previous limited edition title Spider Labyrinth also enters wide release.

Playwright James Graham has teamed up with Michael Sheen for three part BBC drama, The Way. Here’s the trailer.
Michael Sheen has spent a good portion of his career playing real-life figures, perhaps most notably David Frost in Ron Howard’s film version of Peter Morgan’s Frost/Nixon.
He has also played journalist Robbie Ross in Wilde, writer Jeremy Dyson in The League Of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse, Chris Tarrant in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? scandal drama Quiz and he played a heightened version of himself opposite David Tennant in Staged. He’s about to take on the role of Aneurin “Nye” Bevan in Tim Price’s play Nye at the National Theatre. Likewise, James Graham often writes political plays based around recent events.
The two have now teamed up for BBC drama The Way, which although it takes its inspiration from real events, follows fictional characters.

They might technically be “spare” to Prince George’s “heir,” but Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are, seemingly, anything but. According to a parenting expert, it comes down to the three royal children’s parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton. How the Prince and Princess of Wales are raising their kids, with an emphasis on togetherness, is “nurturing the sibling relationships.”
William and Kate put emphasis on the ‘importance’ of George, Charlotte, and Louis as a ‘team’

Charlotte and Louis, she claimed, won’t be neglected like their uncle, Prince Harry, was as a young “spare.” The reason, Frost explained, is because the Prince and Princess of Wales regularly reinforce the “importance of all of them.”

A bizarre-sounding comedy, Krazy House – starring Nick Frost and Alicia Silverstone – is about to make its debut.
Filmed and ready to go out into the world is a brand new comedy by the name of Krazy House. Frankly, it sounds a bit of a hoot.
Nick Frost, Alicia Silverstone and Gaite Jansen lead the ensemble for the film, which sees Frost in the role of Bernie, a man who discovers tha the Russian workers who are labouring away in his home are a bit more than they seem. Criminals, in fact, who are trying to tear his house apart in the search for ill-gotten wares.
The film actually wrapped right at the start of 2022, with Frost and Silverstone heading to Amsterdam, where the film was shot on location. From interviews they’ve given, they had a blast making it, too.

Last year, it was announced that Fighting with My Family co-stars Nick Frost and Lena Headey were going to reunite to work on the serial killer thriller Svalta, which was set to start filming in Finland soon. Well, the movie was shot in Finland and production recently wrapped, but Headey had to drop out of the project due to scheduling issues before it started rolling. Deadline reports that her character ended up being played by Aisling Bea, whose previous credits include This Way Up, Living with Yourself, and Home Sweet Home Alone.
Svalta was directed by Steffen Haars (New Kids Turbo) from a screenplay Frost wrote himself. The story follows a family on their summer vacation to a remote island where they discover a serial killer is on the loose. Unfortunately for them, the locals have no interest in helping the stranded family. The title is taken from the name of the fictional island.

Of all the James Bond movies, "Die Another Day" is perhaps the most detested. Maybe you think it's an underrated Bond film deserving of more respect, but the prevailing view of this early 2000s outing is that of a truly shameful blunder in the canon. Of course, perspectives shift over time. At one point, "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was treated with similar derision to "Die Another Day," and now George Lazenby's only outing in the tux is viewed as one of the best in Bond's 60-year on-screen run. But there's something about "Die Another Day" that I can't help but feel will forever keep it from achieving the same respect.
The ice palaces, invisible cars, and Korean colonels using plastic surgery to transform into insufferable British toffs, are all beyond ridiculous. But they're funny, and Bond has been funny and lighthearted at various points throughout his career to great effect.

Stars: Gigi Zumbado, Stephen Dorff, Emile Hirsch, Vernon Wells, Erika Ervin, Tanner Zagarino | Written by Christopher Jolley | Directed by Ryuhei Kitamura
The Price We Pay is directed by Ryuhei Kitamura, from a script written by Christopher Jolley, and stars Gigi Zumbado, Stephen Dorff, Emile Hirsch, Vernon Wells, Erika Ervin, and Tanner Zagarino; and follows a group of robbers and their hostage finding out that the farmhouse they’ve taken refuge in is far from the haven they thought it would be, forcing them to survive the owners’ onslaught…
Kitamura once again returns to the well of threadbare activities in secluded locations. This time, Jolley takes the helmer’s film to a farmhouse, and that’s right about where the plot developments end. It’s a simple and heavily disappointing choice to focus on nothing. After a prologue showing a prostitute being dumped at a quiet gas station and kidnapped by an as-of-yet-unseen figure,...

Nick Frost’s new book starts with a recipe for beef stroganoff in his mum’s handwriting that he discovered long after she died. That recollection competes with a memory of his dad’s Sunday lunch, his special way with gravy (involving a can of McEwan’s Export). Also in there is his Welsh auntie’s take on cawl soup, which he now makes for his own three kids; and his trademark “pies in a bowl”, which was a staple of the time he shared a flat with his eternal friend and collaborator Simon Pegg. In 2012, Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington teamed up for a commercially successful action/thriller in the form of "Safe House." While the film was met with mixed reviews from critics in its day, it was a sizable financial hit, taking in $208 million at the global box office, including more than $126 million domestically. The film has also remained a staple on cable TV and streaming in the years since its release. Perhaps not surprisingly, Universal Pictures was, at one point, developing a sequel.
The follow-up was originally announced in late 2012 shortly after the film's successful theatrical run. At the time, it was reported that writer David Guggenheim would return to pen the screenplay. Now, here we are more than a decade later and next to nothing has been said officially regarding "Safe House 2." So, is the movie still happening? Would Washington or Reynolds return? We're here to break down everything we know.

Geri Halliwell-Horner is finally ready to share the story of Rosie Frost with the world.
After seven years of working on the book, the Spice Girl-turned-author is releasing a new children's novel, "Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen," on Oct. 3. While this certainly isn't her first book (she's written two autobiographies and the beloved Ugenia Lavender book series), it's one that is deeply personal to Halliwell-Horner, given her love for English literature, history, and conservation.
"It has been an epic journey," Halliwell-Horner tells Popsugar.
"Sometimes we need to find our power, we need to borrow each other's confidence to stand up to people or to situations."
"Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen" is a modern-day girl-power story filled with family secrets, surprising betrayals, and a mysterious island. It centers on a 13-year-old girl named Rosie Frost, who suddenly finds herself orphaned and alone after the death of her mother.

The Flash arrived on the CW as an antidote to the heavy, bleak world of Arrow. Our Scarlet Speedster was going to be a bright, upbeat superhero series and it was—at first. With each successive season, it grew bleaker and more chaotic as an overstuffed cast all demanded screentime and the writing staff never seemed to grasp that there were other villains than those connected to the Speed Force.
The 2022-23 television season brought us The Flash’s ninth and final season, providing a chance to give closure to the core characters. Tomorrow, Warner Home Entertainment releases The Flash: The Complete Ninth and Final Season.
Across the truncated season, everyone had a moment to shine, get their due, take a bow and move aside so the Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Nora West Allen (Candice Patton) center got to have the last word as they finally welcomed Nora to the preset.

It’s been 10 years since Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg concluded their beloved Cornetto trilogy, which began with 2004’s zom-com Shaun of the Dead, passed through with buddy cop comedy Hot Fuzz and ended it, appropriately enough, with an apocalyptic pub crawl in The World’s End. And while we have our favorite flavors, star and co-writer Pegg has chimed in with his…
Speaking with Discussing Film, Pegg had a seemingly easy choice, saying, “You know, my favorite of the Cornetto trilogy is The World’s End because it’s the least audience friendly. It’s the darkest of the three. It’s the most challenging, and I love the idea of actually putting the audience in a position where they have to feel a little bit uncomfortable and not necessarily cozy into the familiar…” For what it’s worth, a JoBlo.com poll from 2021 put Shaun of the Dead as the best of any Edgar Wright movie.

Director Steven Soderbergh has never really been a fan of orthodoxy, and his idiosyncratic approach to his own work was on full display Sunday night when he launched his latest project, sci-fi series Command Z, at the Metrograph in New York. The Michael Cera-starring dystopian narrative, inspired by Kurt Andersen’s book Evil Geniuses: The Unmaking of America: A Recent History, was shown as part of a “secret screening” for members of the downtown theater.
Soderbergh followed the screening with a Q&a with Florida Representative Maxwell Frost, the first Gen Z congressman, explaining to the audience, “I don’t really want to talk about the show,” and instead quizzing Frost about how he stays hopeful. “How do we convince people to not give up?” Soderbergh asked Frost, who in turn discussed his path to politics and his work organizing.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (Uscis) has agreed to delay the implementation of a visa rate hike that would negatively impact touring musicians.
Under proposed guidelines announced in January 2023, the cost of O and P visas for international touring musicians and other visitors would increase by more than 250%. The Uscis is now delaying the rate hike until at least March 2024 and is considering lowering the rate increase altogether.
Congressman Maxwell Frost of Florida — who knows a thing or two about live music — led a group of Congressional Democrats in calling for the Usic to reverse its position. “Uscis’s decision to delay their proposed rate hikes and go back to the drawing board is the right move to support our nation’s small business community and for the hundreds of thousands of traveling artists who are a critical part of our local economy,” said Congressman Frost.

As Kyle Bradstreet’s Secret Invasion reaches its halfway point, the spy series is surprising us in more ways than one. It’s not just the shocking death of Emilia Clarke’s G’iah and the well-signposted reveal that Don Cheadle’s James “Rhodey” Rhodes is a Skrull that make Episode 3 worth a watch. Somehow, Secret Invasion has done the almost unthinkable and made us reconsider Iron Man 3.
Up there with Alan Taylor’s Thor: The Dark World and (more recently) Chloé Zhao’s Eternals, Shane Black’s 2013 threequel is often held as one of the ‘worst’ Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Lionsgate and Saban Films will unleash the alligator horror movie The Flood this summer (watch the trailer here), and the film’s official MPA rating has been handed in this week.
The Flood has been Rated “R” for…
“Violence, some gore, and language throughout.”
The action-horror movie hits Theaters, On Demand and Digital on July 14, 2023. The premise suggests a Syfy-style monster movie – alligators inside a prison – but the execution looks a lot closer to Alexandre Aja’s Crawl than anything you’d find on the Syfy network.
Think Crawl meets Assault on Precinct 13.
The Flood is directed by Brandon Slagle (Frost, The Dawn) and co-written by Chad Law (Section 8, Close Range, 6 Bullets) and Josh Ridgway (The Sector, Howlers).
In the film, “A horde of giant hungry alligators is unleashed on a group of in-transit prisoners and their guards after a massive hurricane floods Louisiana.”

Editor’s note: Deadline’s It Starts on the Page features 10 standout drama series scripts in 2023 Emmy contention. It showcases the critical role writers’ work plays in a show’s success. All materials (the script and writers intro) were submitted before the WGA strike began on May 2.
It would have been easy for Netflix’s Emmy-winning The Crown to recreate Princess Diana’s infamous BBC interview with Martin Bashir by simply having Elizabeth Debicki, as Her Royal Highness, deliver the entire transcript from a makeshift Kensington Palace. Saban Films will release alligator horror movie The Flood this summer, and our friends over at Upcoming Horror Movies have shared new images and new poster art this week.
Check out the new images and art below.
Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers, Alita: Battle Angel, Sleepy Hollow), Nicky Whelan (Hall Pass,...

Maxwell Alejandro Frost is the first Gen Z member of Congress. He is also the first member of Congress to join Paramore on stage to sing “Misery Business.”
Congressman Frost appeared with Paramore during their show at Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C. on Friday night. Upon taking the stage, Hayley Williams asked the Florida Democrat if he had any message for the crowd, to which he responded: “Fuck Ron DeSantis! Fuck fascism!” From there, Paramore and Frost rocked out to “Misery Business,” with Congressman Frost singing and dancing along.
Congressman Frost posted a video of the performance to Twitter with the caption: “Very grateful for this moment. I’ve been practicing in the shower for Years.”
It goes without saying, but Congressman Frost is a big music fan. In fact, one of his major initiatives in Congress is to get funding for independent musicians. “We’re the only...
