Somebody get Chad Kroeger a lozenge!
During a recent Nickelback show in Maryland Heights, Missouri, Kroeger was in the midst of performing “Animals” when he stopped the band in its tracks.
“I can’t do this,” he told the audience in a decidedly raspy voice.

“I cannot sit here with a f**king absolutely destroyed throat and try to make it through this show and pretend like there’s nothing f**king wrong and take your f**king money, ’cause that is wrong. I’m having a hard time hittin’ f**kin’ notes,” he admitted.
“The doctor just jabbed me in the hip with some prednisone, and we all crossed our fingers backstage hoping this was gonna work. But I cannot, in good conscience, stand up here and sing these f**kin’ songs and...

Celebrities have been known to have unusual pets. George Clooney, for example, famously had a potbellied pig named Max, and who can forget Michael Jackson’s chimp, Bubbles?
Snoop Dogg, however, can top them all with the revelation that he once kept a cockroach as a pet, named Gooch.
The “Gin and Juice” rapper confirmed that during a recent interview with Canadian treasure Nardwuar the Human Serviette.

“Did you one time have a roach?” Nardwuar asks (the question comes at the 6:55 mark in the video above).
“I got a roach in my hand right now,” Snoop replies, gesturing to the joint he’s smoking.
Nardwuar clarifies, asking, “Did you have a roach called Gooch?”
“Gooch used to live with me,” Snoop replied, and explained how Gooch came to be his pet.

Famous Canadian journalist Nardwuar finally interviewed Nickelback bandmates Chad Kroeger and Ryan Peake for the first time in an hour-long conversation at Neptoon Records in Vancouver last week.
Band members Kroeger and Peake explored various topics in their sweeping interview with the eccentric media personality, including a story about how their former drummer, Kroeger’s cousin Brandon, quit the band in 1996.
In the extensive interview, Nardwuar, in typical well-researched fashion, reminds Kroeger and Peake of the 1996 show date in which Nickelback and industrial rock band Stabbing Westward performed together at Vancouver’s Starfish Room.

Kroeger recalled how his cousin saw Stabbing Westward’s “brand-new, huge tour bus,” immediately causing Brandon to quit band life.
“They were on tour opening up for Kiss, and they came to town on this brand-new, huge tour bus… And we had never been on a tour bus before.

The "V/H/S" series lets filmmakers go wild. It's a part of the horror franchise's appeal. Good or bad, the directors rarely pull any punches with their stories. The latest addition to "V/H/S" goes back to 1999, with directors such as Maggie Levin ("My Valentine") and Johannes Roberts ("The Strangers: Prey at Night") at the helm of its anthology entries.
For "V/H/S/99," Levin helms "Shredding" and Roberts is behind "Suicide Bid." Levin's tale follows an obnoxious punk band facing serious consequences for their behavior, while Roberts tells a story of hazing gone wrong, and they both capture the nasty, dark spirit expected from the series by this point. Recently, Levin and Roberts told us about crafting their horror films, shooting in graveyards, and lessons learned from the franchise.

Singing an iconic song to the iconic singer-songwriter who originally wrote and sang it proved to be a “nerve-wracking” experience for Harry Styles when he performed “River” for living legend Joni Mitchell.
Styles discussed the experience during an interview with Canada’s own Nardwuar, reported Billboard, who spoke with Styles during his recent Coachella stint.
It began when the Vancouver-based interviewer noted that Styles’ new album is titled Harry’s House, prompting him to ask whether the singer had ever been to “Joni’s house.”

Christmas came early for Harry Styles this year. Ahead of his headlining performance at the 2022 Coachella Music and Arts Festival, the innocuous but thorough interview host Nardwuar caught up with the singer for an interview that paired nearly every question with a hyper-specific piece of music memorabilia – from a 7-inch pressing of Elvis Presley’s “The Girl of My Best Friend” to a vintage One Direction toothbrush badly in need of new batteries.

"I suckerpunched the shit out of my mother... I got in a lot of trouble for that," he tells Nard.
Additionally, Questlove addresses topics like Mel Brooks and Rodney Dangerfield's statuses as rap pioneers, the reason why Mc Breeze's "Discombobulatorbubalator" got banned in the '80s, whether or not Lady B's "To The Beat Y'all" was the first female-fronted rap record and...
