As an extension of their wildly popular animated series Phineas and Ferb, Disney Channel and Disney Xd joined together on Saturday, March 3 for “Platypus Day” -- named for the show's Perry the Platypus character. Move over, Macarena. Disney Channel is hoping to start a new dance craze timed to "Platypus Day," a holiday created by the cable network to celebrate Perry the Platypus, the teal-colored, duck-billed secret agent from Phineas and Ferb.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has started production on "Honey 2." Sequel to the first film starring Jessica Alba, is a straight to DVD dance movie being helmed by Bille Woodruff. Katerina Graham of the CW’s "The Vampire Diaries" stars in a cast including Seychelle Gabriel, Randy Wayne, Brandon Molale, Gerry Bednob, Tyler Nelson and Lonette McKee. Pic is out in the fall of 2011. Paul Hellerman produces. Rosero McCoy ("Step-Up") is handling choreography. Woodruff also helmed the first film whose cast included Lil' Romeo, Mekhi Phifer, David Moscow, Zachary Williams and Joy Bryant.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has begun production on the DVD title "Honey 2," a dance movie directed by Bille Woodruff based on the 2003 feature of the same name and starring Katerina Graham of the CW’s "The Vampire Diaries."
The film will premiere exclusively on DVD in the fall of 2011.
Paul Hellerman is producing, with Marc Platt as exec producer. Rosero McCoy, who provided dance routines in the original "Step-up" feature film, is handling choreography.
The movie also stars Randy Wayne, Seychelle Gabriel, Christopher "War" Martinez, Brittany Perry Russell, Tyler Nelson, Luke Broadlick and Melissa Smith.

The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato return to camp later this summer when Disney Channel begins production on Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam, the sequel to the network's original movie Camp Rock (June 20, 2008).
