Play received 4 Obie Awards: Outstanding Performance (Ty Jones), Outstanding Performance (J. Kyle Manzay), Outstanding Costume Design (Kimberly Glennon) and Outstanding Mask Design (Anne Lommel).
- (March 2007) Played Tonya in "King Hedley II" play by August Wilson (Signature Theatre Company, New York City, New York, USA). Play received three Lucille Lortel Nominations: Outstanding Revival, Outstanding Lead Actor (Russell Hornsby), and Outstanding Director (Derrick Sanders).
- (May 2012) Cherise Boothe wins Obie Award for portrayal of Talisha in Kirsten Greenidge's play, Milk Like Sugar. Playwright Kirsten Greenidge wins Obie Award for her play, Milk Like Sugar.
- (April 20 to May 16, 2004) She played Delia Patterson in Pearl Cleage's play, "Blues for an Alabama Sky," in a Brown-Forman Series production at the Actors Theatre of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky with Rachel Leslie (Angel Allen); Darryl Theirse (Guy Jacobs); David Alan Anderson (Sam Thomas) and Shane Taylor (Leland Cunningham) in the cast. Timothy Douglas was director.
