Mark Wahlberg is set to produce a movie on the Boston Marathon bombing with CBS Films.
Patriots' Day is one of two feature films in development about the attacks in April 2013, which killed three and injured around 264 others.
CBS Films is taking the angle of Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, who has given his firsthand account of how the incident unfolded, reports Deadline.
Research and footage captured by newsmagazine 60 Minutes will also be used to paint an accurate picture of the manhunt that ensued five days after the attack on April 15, 2013.
As well as producing, Wahlberg is apparently hoping to play Davis in the movie.
"There is nothing more compelling than a real story populated by real heroes," CBS Films president Terry Press said.
"The team that we have assembled for this project is determined to give audiences a very personal look at what occurred during the days when the...
