We’re just eight days away from learning which Dancing With the Stars contestant will hoist that Mirrorball over his or her head — but first, they had to clear the hurdle of Monday’s semifinals.
The five remaining pairs performed two routines during Monday’s broadcast: For the first, each pro got to choose a song that they thought best encapsulated his or her partner. For the second — arguably one of the series’ most difficult rounds in recent memory — couples were asked to recreate an iconic, perfect-score-receiving routine from a past season of DWTS. (As if getting to the finale weren’t stressful enough.

There was a time when the Ying Yang Twins were at the top of the rap game, but last week group member D-Roc hit a low point when he was arrested and hit with DUI, drug possession and child endangerment charges.
On June 1, D-Roc (born Deongelo Holmes) was arrested in Georgia after Gwinnett County police stopped the rapper for failing to drive in a single lane. According to a police report obtained by MTV News after the stop, D-Roc admitted to having "a few beers at a friend's house" and smoking marijuana earlier in the evening. He was driving with his children (a 3-year old and a 2-month-old), who were asleep in the back seat of his 2002 Gmc Yukon Denali.

From a Run-d.M.C. classic to raps with not-so-merry sentiments, here's MTV News' nontraditional playlist.

Sure, Michael Bublé and Justin Bieber are the current Christmas crown holders, but what if your yuletide tastes require a harder edge? While rappers aren't exactly known for spreading holiday cheer, hip-hop has given fans plenty of rap carols. Run-d.M.C.'s 1987 classic "Christmas in Hollis" may be the most-popular, but new-schoolers like Ludacris and Kanye West have kept rap's Xmas tradition alive.
If you've grown tired of listening to Nat King Cole's 1946 "The Christmas Song" or even Mariah Carey's more recent 1994 hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You," MTV News has compiled a 12-song playlist of rap's best Christmas-themed hits.
"Christmas in Hollis," Run-d.M.C.
No doubt the greatest rap carol ever recorded, this 1987 classic found Run and partner-in-rhyme D.

My love affair with Pitbull (real name Armando Christian Perez) began when I first heard him on the Ying Yang Twins "Salt Shaker." I knew instantly that I was listening to a rising star and his new album, "Planet Pit," justifies my initial instincts.

"DJ Hero 2" has entered the last leg of its path toward an October 19 release date, and though they've revealed 105 tracks that will appear featuring talent like DJ Qbert and DJ Shadow, FreeStyleGames had not yet named what the sequel's mix list would include. That's all changed now, however, and they've even grouped the combos and re-styled singles by producer.
"Whether it's Pussycat Dolls Mixed With Pitbull, 2Pac Mixed With B.o.B., or a all-new remix of a Daft Punk anthem, in 'DJ Hero 2' we have created 83 mixes that are not only incredibly fun to play, but will allow everyone to experience the music they know and love in an all-new way," FreeStyleGames music director Dan Neil said in a press release. "The amazing soundtrack, coupled with the new social gameplay modes and all-new levels of creative freedom, make 'DJ Hero 2' the ultimate interactive music experience."

HollywoodNews.com: Lady Gaga already has some of the biggest hits of the past year and so it would only make sense for three of them to be included in the new DJ Hero 2 video game that is slated to hit stores on October 19.
A follow up to DJ Hero, the new game will feature over 100 of the biggest tracks from the hottest artists, remixed exclusively for the game. From Eminem’s “Not Afraid,” Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance,” David Guetta’s “Memories” feat. Kid Cudi, and Lil’ Wayne’s “Lollipop” feat. Static Major music fans will find more than a handful of songs to entertain themselves.
“The individual songs that have been mixed into the DJ Hero 2 soundtrack have been viewed online more than 1.5 billion times, which really speaks volumes to both the size and scope of our music,” said Dan Neil, Music Director, FreeStyleGames. “Working with some of...

After a few weeks of teases and some intriguing still photos, the video for Nicki Minaj's chart-busting, Annie Lennox-sampling single "Your Love" finally premiered earlier today. As was expected of Minaj, the clip contains a number of eye-popping scenes based around Minaj both dressed as a geisha and engaging in an ethereal sword fight with another woman. The colorful, unusual video (directed by Hype Williams protegé Lil X, who has also been responsible for electric clips like The-Dream's "Love King," Mystikal's "Shake Ya Ass" and Ying Yang Twins' "Wait (The Whisper Song)") recalls the type of visual stimulation that Missy Elliott (an Mc Minaj is often compared to) used to churn out with startling regularity.
Perhaps the most jarring thing about the video is the fact that Minaj is bested at the conclusion of it. That is becoming something of a theme in music videos this year. While...

Last night, the America's Most Wanted tour kicked off in Scranton, Pennsylvania with blistering sets from Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Drake and the artist celebrating a birthday today: Soulja Boy. The man known on his tax returns as DeAndre Ramone Way was born today in 1990, making one of the most buzzed-about MCs in the game a mere 19 years old. Soulja exploded onto the scene back in 2007 when his hit "Crank That" (and the dance associated with said song) went from an underground hit to a chart-topping smash and ended up netting him a Grammy nomination.
Though "Crank That" had the DNA of a novelty hit, Soulja Boy managed to defy the odds with his follow-up album iSoulJaBoyTellEm, which he dropped late last year and made way for the hits "Turn My Swag On" and "Kiss Me Thru the Phone." In addition to his work as a rapper, he's also shown...

There are only 13 days left until this year's "Gathering of the Juggalos," the annual festival thrown by horrorcore Detroit rappers Insane Clown Posse. This year's four day version begins on August 6 in Cave In Rock, Illinois, and features hours of music, DJ battles, professional wrestling, motocross, seminars and carnival rides. For those going (or for anybody contemplating attending this year), the group has unleashed a helpful 15 minute infomercial that runs through the highlights of the whole weekend.
As the video shows, this year's lineup has a few eyebrow-raisers. Obviously, the weekend is headlined by festival godfathers Icp, along with brothers-in-arms Twiztid, but the lineup is fleshed out by a who's who of "Wtf?" guests: Coolio, Vanilla Ice, Gwar and Eminem cohort Bizarre will all be performing.
