The decision to cast Ben Affleck as the new Batman has been met with all kinds of derision since it was announced this past week but it seems some fans are willing to take their disdain even further by petitioning Warner Brothers to get the former Daredevil to hang up the cape and cowl before filming has even begun.
The Academy Award winning actor and director has been under fire ever since he landed the role replacing Christian Bale who has played the Dark Knight since 2005′s Batman Begins. Despite a lucrative offer to return to the role Bale is believed to have been unwavering in his decision to move on from the iconic superhero paving the way for another actor to try to recreate the Christopher Nolan directed magic we’ve become accustomed to seeing.

Following on from the huge news that Ben Affleck will put on the cowl as Batman in the Man of Steel sequel. Cosmic Book News.com is reporting that Bryan Cranston has been cast as Lex Luthor in the movie to star alongside Affleck and Henry Cavill as Superman. Cranston is apparently signed to what is said to be at least “a six appearance deal” (very similar to the deal that Samuel L. Jackson has to portray Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) and may even be as high as ten films.
Speaking of Affleck, Cosmic Book News are reporting that he too has allegedly signed a huge deal (they cite a 13-appearance deal) for Batman. They write “DC is going to have all of their main characters liberally appearing or at least mentioned in all of their movies to portray a more connected world than what Marvel Studios has done so far.

I recently wrote about ten moments that gave fanboys a bad name. Well now I’d like to add a belated eleventh spot to that list because the Batman fans are at it again, thanks to the latest announcement about the impending reboot of the character
On the 23rd of August, it was announced that Ben Affleck (Director of Argo and co-writer of Good Will Hunting) has been cast as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming Superman/Batman crossover film. But it seems that, amongst comic book fans, Affleck’s performance in the poorly received Daredevil film of 2003 is still lingering over his career because it’s safe to say that this casting decision has gone down well as a plate of veal chops at a PETA rally.
As you’d expect, the fan rage has erupted in the more predictable ways such as Facebook groups, YouTube videos, and angry...

London, Aug 24: An anti-Ben Affleck petition has been filed on change.org by Batman fans after it was revealed that the actor will portray the caped crusader in upcoming movie Superman vs Batman.
Started by Kentucky resident John Roden, the petition claims Affleck is "not built or intimidating enough" to play the superhero, as he doesn't have the requisite acting skills for a convincing Bruce Wayne, Metro.co.uk reported.
At the time of writing, the petition has attracted nearly 10,000 signatures.
Superman vs Batman is the sequel to Man of Steel and sees Henry Cavill returns as Superman. The film will be released in.

A petition opposing the casting of Ben Affleck in Man of Steel 2 has been launched online.
The Change.org petition, started by Kentucky resident John Roden, demands that Affleck be removed from Zack Snyder's sequel on the grounds that he "won't do the role justice".
"His acting skill is not even close to being believable as Bruce Wayne and he won't do the role justice," the petition reads. "He's not built, nor is he intimidating enough for the role of Batman.
"His portrayal of Daredevil was atrocious and he's not remotely close to an action star. Please find someone else."
The petition has already reached 3,000 signatures.
Snyder confirmed at Comic-Con 2013 that the 2015 sequel would feature a face-off between Henry Cavill's Superman and Batman, with the storyline drawing heavily from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.
