Jenga building blocks can be found under many a Christmas tree, but it’s more than a game in the moving film, A World Record Christmas. When determined autistic teen Charlie (Aias Dalman) tries to break the Guinness World Record for building a tower on a single vertical block, his mom Marissa (Nikki DeLoach) and stepdad Eric (Lucas Bryant) cheer him on. Here’s the piece-by-piece breakdown: (Credit: ©2023 Hallmark/Allister Foster) Charlie’s quest has deeper meaning. “He’s hoping to get a record to win back his biological father Peter’s [Matt Hamilton] love,” executive producer Antonio Cupo says. Dalman, also autistic, helped make his character as real as possible. There’s no meet-cute in the love tale. Mom Marissa and her second husband Eric realize their relationship has lost its spark and hope to rekindle it. “Instead of meeting someone new, our story could be about finding love again…...

It's always a pleasure speaking with Lucas Bryant, and after a two-year hiatus, he's back with another Christmas movie, Hallmark Movie & Mysteries Five Minutes More: Moments Like These.
In the film, he plays Matthew, a friend of Kaitlyn's (Ashley Williams) husband, who had passed away years earlier.
It's a story about love, loss, and finding new connections to bring you in from the cold.
If you wondered where Lucas has been of late, he and his family spent the insanity of Covid blissfully unaware of the world's stress near his wife's home in Australia.
While the rest of us were locked inside our homes, the Bryant family was running on the beach, sand squishing between their toes.
"We ended up staying a year and a half in this tiny town on the coast that was stunning and incredible. It all felt like a dream. I didn't send many photos back...

At TV Fanatic, we've been fans of Lucas Bryant for a long time.
Best known to most of you as Nathan in the Syfy series, Haven, he's starring in a new Christmas movie on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
In support of that upcoming film we had an opportunity to jump on the phone with him all the way from Australia, where he's temporarily relocated with his family for a little normalcy in this world gone crazy.
Things may be a little of for a lot of us, but nothing has stopped Lucas from being a fun and entertaining guy. By the time we got off of the phone, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much.
When asked how he got involved with The Angel Tree, Lucas used his sense of humor for the answer. "Good question. It was one of those angel tree moments where I just put my wish on a tree.

Admittedly, there is very little about the 2020 fall schedule that feels "normal."
But, there are still a lot of things that should pique your interest.
Supernatural returns this week, and new shows arrive across the dial including Soulmates on AMC, nExt on Fox, and Devils on The CW. Find out what we know, below.
Saturday, October 3
9/8c Country at Heart (Hallmark)
Not all Hallmark movies hit the right note, but with this cast, we have hope for Country at Heart.
Jessy Schram and Niall Matter top this film about a struggling country singer who meets a Nashville songrwiter in need of inspiration.
The two of them combine their musical talent to write a song for the fall festival, and they're going to find they have a lot more in their future than singing a duet together!
Haven's Lucas Bryant also stars as a country star in need of a song.

While Hallmark alums like Lacey Chabert and Tamera Mowry-Housley will star in a few films, a few stars will be making their Hallmark debut, including Aaron Tveit, Janel Parrish, Jeremy Jordan, and Marisol Nichols. Spring and summer were, pretty much, a bust.
But we have a lot of hope for fall despite the 2020 issues that are still struggling to hang on to our attention.
Fall is beautiful, and even though trees are dying, their loss offers some of the most fragrant scents of the year.
On that happy note, we're pleased to report that Hallmark Channel is rolling out a new slate of Fall Harvest movies, and we couldn't be happier. Let's take a look at what's coming.

Haven has always been one of those shows that seems to pull people into its own rewatchability. There’s something about the bizarre nature of the troubles, and the long-arc connections, that opens the door for going through it all more than once.
That is arguably never more true than the series’ final season, and here’s your chance to win a copy of the Blu-Ray. (3 winners will be randomly selected to receive a copy of the Blu-Ray)
It all comes together as the series wraps, but making it through to the end is anything but simple, and I think the show delivered something that fans could hold onto as an ending worthy of the time they’d spent with the quirky crew of the show.
But, more than just taking the ride again, or for the first time, the release is loaded with extras.

If you are going to watch a television show, the worst time to start is in its final episodes. I found myself doing this though for the recent release of Haven: Season 5 Volume 2 – The Final Episodes. What I found though was a show that I really enjoyed and will be investing my time in, from the beginning.
Haven is a cursed town where “troubled” people have mysterious powers that often cause trouble for the people who are trying to protect it. As the story nears its end a mysterious fog has cut the town off from the rest of the world and a showdown is looming with the mysterious “Croatoan” that appears to be on its way.

Haven managed something fairly rare in the world of television simply by being a show that was, more or less, serious about about completely goofball events without turning ridiculous.
It probably helped that it got to say Stephen King’s name a lot, but no outside pull gets you very far when you have to put “The Troubles” on screen, and sell a world in which a small town in Maine goes loopy. That’s especially true when you have episodic “troubles” to fix, and have to maintain the long arc’s direction.
The show held its own by way of the onscreen chemistry of the three main stars, and the charm of the supporting actors.
Now the final season is headed your way, and it’s not only something that is worth the price of admission just on the twists and revelations of the season itself, it’s also loaded with special features.

The double episode series finale of Haven begins with Audrey (Emily Rose) and Nathan (Lucas Bryant) literally camping out in the Haven Police Headquarters and discussing Audrey’s recent abduction by her father, Croatoan. Audrey is more frightened after meeting him and hearing of his plans to “gift” people their heart’s desire, to prove himself to her. They also worry about Duke’s mission to collect specific troubles for Croatoan to use against them. Nathan insists they’ll get Duke back before that can happen. Somewhere in town, Kirby, Vanessa’s nephew, runs through the shadows and breaks into a building in order to [...]

Last month, we reported Haven showrunners Gabrielle Stanton and Matt McGuinness promised satisfaction for fans of Nathan (Lucas Bryant), Audrey (Emily Rose), and company. TV Insider has published the duo's finale post-mortem, in which they also point out some Easter Eggs left for the audience -- an out-of-season holiday bonus, if you will.

Nathan is clearly taken off guard to see Lucy in close quarters with a younger version of his father, Garland (Landy Cannon). Syfy is canceling the supernatural drama "Haven" after five season, according to The Wrap. The show will conclude with the 13-episode second half of season 5, debuting this October.
"Haven" stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant, and Eric Balfour, who have to deal with a series of supernatural afflictions called "The Troubles" that affect the people of a small Maine town.
Showrunner Gabrielle Stanton pledged that the final episodes would provide closure for fans of the show - even though the cancellation was unknown when they were written.
"I'm sure as a fellow TV fan, there's nothing more annoying than when a show kind of feels like it might be wrapping up, but they just don't address it, they don't come to any kind of satisfying conclusion," she told The Wrap.
"I always think that's cheating the audience a little bit, of a nice satisfying ending. So we really looked at these...
