“I feel like it’s so fitting, weirdly enough,” says former “The Bachelor” star Colton Underwood while discussing his time as Lovebird on Fox’s “The Masked Singer.” “I get to return back to television, this time wearing a physical mask and have that safety blanket of performing without people knowing exactly who I am until I get eliminated. It’s such a freeing and lovely experience.” Watch his exclusive video interview with Gold Derby senior editor Denton Davidson above.
As Lovebird, Colton sang “Home” by Phillip Phillips and “All That You Are” by Goo Goo Dolls. He was the first contestant voted out on Wednesday’s “Transformers Night” episode. Panelist Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg correctly guessed the former NFL player’s identity prior to his reveal. Group A contestants returned to the stage on “The Masked Singer” Wednesday, April 10 for “Transformers Night.” After singing their hearts out for panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora, the bottom two acts were eliminated. First to go was Lovebird, whose rendition of “All That You Are” by Goo Goo Dolls put him in last place. Next on the chopping block was Koala, a new wildcard who sang “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears. The cuddly creature was revealed to be NFL Hall of Fame player DeMarcus Ware.
“All my life I’ve always wore a mask, but I sacked quarterbacks doing that,” he told host Nick Cannon during his unmasked interview. “Right now I put on the Koala mask and no one knew who I was, so the true personality of me actually came out. It was one of the funnest experiences I’ve had.

Season 19 of “American Idol” added a twist to round out the Top 10. The reality competition series showcased 10 of the season 18 contestants in a special edition on April 19. Each of them got a chance to sing one song for America’s votes. The winner of this run-off joins the rest of the Top 10 who made the cut on April 18: Alyssa Wray, Caleb Kennedy, Casey Bishop, Cassandra Coleman, Chayce Beckham, Deshawn Goncalves, Grace Kinstler, Hunter Metts and Willie Spence.
Of the 10 comeback contenders, the most likely to win is Arthur Gunn, the season 18 runner-up. He has proven he is popular with “American Idol” viewers, having lost last year’s final to Just Sam in a razor-thin vote. His strongest rivals are Louis Knight, who just missed making the Top 5 and Makayla Phillips who was unlucky enough to be ousted when the Top 11 was pared down to seven. The other contenders in...

NBC will light up the country’s Christmas tree, and hopefully children’s faces everywhere, with its “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” special on Wednesday, Dec. 2 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
While we could sure use the symbol of joy and peace this year, the selected evergreen — a 75-foot tall, 45-foot wide Norway Spruce from Oneonta, New York — doesn’t appear to be up to the challenge.
See the sad-looking, 11-ton tree here:

It looked a heck of a lot nicer all tied up. Nothing 50,000 multi-colored LED lights and one Swarovski star can’t fix, we hope.
Or just focus on the adorable stowaway owl:

After the tree leaves Rockefeller Center, it will be milled into lumber for donation to Habitat for Humanity and used to build homes in the region. Let’s hope the branches are sturdier than they look.

Say what you will about Katniss, but we think that Ariana Grande is the real girl on fire. Ariana rocked Rockefeller Center during the famous tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 4, performing one of her hit songs and a classic Christmas hit!
Ariana Grande, 20, is owning it this holiday season. First “The Way” singer dazzled the frozen Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade crowd with her rendition of “Last Christmas,” then she stunned at the Jingle Ball in Dallas on Dec. 2. But we think her performance at the 81st annual Rockefeller tree lighting was her best outing yet!
Ariana Grande’s Performance At ‘Christmas in Rockefeller Center’
Ariana looked absolutely stunning as she braved the cold at New York’s Rockefeller Center, performing her hit “Love is Everything” and the holiday classic “Last Christmas.” She showed off her amazing voice, and of course stunning look. She rocked an adorable green cape with red tights!

It’s that time of year, PopWatchers — when otherwise responsible parents camp out and expose their children to threateningly low temperatures in order to see questionable lip synching and larger-than-life icons on puppet strings. No, I’m not talking about a Today show performance by One Direction… but close! It’s the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!Like any good spectacular, there was no shortage of 11th-hour drama: High winds in New York City nearly scuttled this year’s march through Manhattan (for only the second time in 87 years), but justice — and giant balloons! – prevailed. So buckle in, turkeys, because...

So, after a pretty strong night from the ladies on "American Idol" Tuesday (March 5), we hope you've got some stiff drinks at hand to help you get through this gauntlet of awful.
Sorry, do we sound bitter? It's because we are. Most of these guys have been atrocious so far.
1. Elijah Liu, "Stay," Rihanna
Interesting song choice, but he definitely has the sweet tenor to pull it off. This is actually pretty nice. There are a few bum notes here and there, but he has such a pretty tone. It's not blowing our wig off, but it wasn't bad. We just wish he had done a little more with it. The song didn't really go anywhere. More oomph, more personality would've been good.
Urban is right that the song suited his voice -- it really did. Nicki manages not to be too gross towards this young man, then comments on his marketability,...

Avatar (20th Century Fox) James Cameron beat his own title as box office champ, set with Titanic over a decade ago, with this eye-popping sci-fi epic about a paraplegic Marine name Sully (Sam Worthington), who takes the form of an “avatar,” or virtual being, to go undercover on the planet Pandora, attempting to infiltrate the native Na’vi to gather intelligence that will aid a joint corporate and military operation to rape the planet of its natural resources, destroying its indigenous population in the process. When Sully suddenly “goes native,” he locks horns with the company CEO (Giovanni Ribisi) and his gung-ho commanding officer (Stephen Lang, in a wonderful, scenery-chewing turn from a long-underrated actor).
