Kurtis Bueltmann's diversity as an actor stems from his eclectic career outside of acting. Kurtis is an accomplished musician, not only with vocals, but also playing percussion, guitar (acoustic, electric, bass), keys, and viola. He has opened for groups like Lost and Found, been a member of bands such as Bob Mattice and the Rainmakers in Wisconsin, and is a founding member of Sibling Harmony, doing multiple tours across the country, headlining concerts for crowds of up to 5,000, and producing four original albums and numerous music videos. For three years Kurtis taught high school mathematics in St. Louis, Missouri, and for 12 years was CEO of Camp LuWiSoMo in Wild Rose, Wisconsin, the same town where Harrison Ford earned his pilot's license. Kurtis served as a firefighter in four different states, served as a Lutheran minister in three states, opened a martial arts school in Rockford, Illinois, and has organized and led tours in Europe. During his time serving as an active duty officer in the USAF, he has earned multiple accolades, including awards at the MAJCOM (individual) and USAF-wide (team) levels.

He played guitar for a production of Godspell in St. Louis (1996), played percussion for a production of Annie in Wild Rose (2005), and choreographed all the sword-fight scenes for a production of The Hobbit in Rockford (2009). Kurtis has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (1992) Episode #14.35 (2006) as well as Good Morning America (1975) Episode #48.3 (2022). Most recently, he played the lead role of Joe in the movie short Muscatatuck Mission (2024), written and produced by Adrian Paul.
