Myron C.'Tiny' Bradshaw started as a vocalist with Horace Henderson's Collegians before forming his own band in 1934 in New York. A versatile musician (pianist, drummer and composer, as well as singer), his best-known compositions were Jersey Bounce (with Edward Johnson and Robert Plater) and Train Kept A-Rollin in 1951. By the early 1950s, Bradshaw and his band had made a successful transition from swing to R&B.
