EA has released the official launch trailer for Fuse, which hits store shelves on May 28th. Featuring four player co-op and explosive, over-the-top firefights, the game is set to ignite a bit of a spark into the otherwise slow Spring months. A demo was released a few weeks ago and so far, I’ve had a blast with it. It’s not that Fuse offers anything revolutionary or groundbreaking, but it’s a ton of fun and I’m definitely eager to get my hands on the full game.
For those who don’t know, the game offers players the opportunity to step into the shoes of four different characters: the unstoppable Dalton Brooks, the stealthy Naya Devreaux, the expert sniper Jacob Kimble and the healer Isabelle Sinclair. My favorite of the bunch is Dalton but I’ve enjoyed getting acquainted will all four and look forward to fully testing...

EA and Insomniac will bring a demo for the upcoming team shooter "Fuse" to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live next week, allowing us to take a stab at 4-player online co-op and 2-player splitscreen.
In the demo, which will be available for download beginning May 7th, players fill the shoes of four elite operatives – Dalton Brooks, Izzy Sinclair, Jacob Kimble and Naya Deveraux – on a mission to protect mankind from the deadly Fuse, an alien energy source that has been stolen by a rogue paramilitary organization called Raven.
Each of the game's characters has their own unique Fuse-powered “Xenotech” weapon and specialized skills that can be upgraded by collecting Fuse points. Rather than focusing on just one character, players will be able seamlessly switch between the four agents at any time using the Leap system.
"When it comes to Fuse, the biggest thing we’ve noticed when sharing it with...

Courtesy of Radical Entertainment, get a closer look at the clandestine Overstrike Team 9! Presented in a digital comic form, you'll learn the shattered past of the four squad mates as they embark on a new mission against a mysterious threat.
Back at Gdc we got a look at some of the game's functionality "Fuse," and it's looking to shape up as an interesting co-op experience for Insomniac's first multi-plat outing. Here's a brief overview of the team.
Dalton Brooks
A decorated Marine with numerous successful missions, he was recruited by Raven in which he quickly rose the ranks. After a mission went awry and Dalton is set up for the fall --and a failed assassination attempt -- he gets scooped up by Overstrike and becomes the de facto leader of Team 9.
Isabelle Sinclair
From an early age, "Izzy" became fascinated with computers and eventually took to hacking which suit her lifestyle later in life.

Electronic Arts has confirmed that Insomniac Games’ co-op shooter, Fuse, will be released on May 28th in North America and on May 31st across Europe for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Originally, the title had been announced with a March 2013 release window, which makes its May launch a slight two month delay.
“Insomniac Games is known for delivering best-in-class weaponry that breaks the mold of traditional video games — and Fuse is no different,” said Insomniac Games’ CEO, Ted Price. “These Xenotech weapons further the innovation players will find in this unique, action co-op shooter. We can’t wait to bring Fuse, our first multi-platform game, to gamers worldwide this May.”
Fuse is a third person, four-player co-op shooter that centers around a elite squad of covert agents known as Overstrike 9. Players pick from one of the four members of the squad (Dalton Brooks, Izzy Sinclair, Jacob Kimble or Naya Deveraux), as they...

Insomniac Games worked out their “legal-rights issue” with Fuse late last week, allowing them to finally complete the game’s announcement with a debut trailer.
The minute and a half Fuse trailer reveals a decent chunk of gameplay, and is mainly focused on showing off the title’s four playable characters (Dalton Brooks, Izzy Sinclair, Jacob Kimble, and Naya Deveraux) and their “signature Fuse-powered weapons”.
Judging from the trailer, it appears that the best strategy for combating the enemies in Fuse is to just use Dalton Brooks’ Mag-shield and simply walk your way through the game. At the very least, doing that will get you through everything shown during the short announcement trailer.
Fuse is scheduled to launch in March 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

After showing off a screen for the game during Pax Prime, EA and Ratchet and Clank developer Insomniac have made Fuse official. The four-player, co-op shooter is coming to the Xbox 360 and the PS3 next March, and we've got more details after the jump.
In Insomniac's first multiplatform game, you'll play as one of four members of the Overstrike 9 team as they attempt to protect humanity from a dangerous, alien energy source called Fuse--which they'll also be using to power up their weapons and upgrades throughout the game.
The press release describes the characters in Fuse as individually possessing unique abilities that can be upgraded with Fuse points throughout the campaign. If you're a solo player, you'll still get a chance to mess around with the other members of the Overstrike 9 team using the ability to swap characters on the fly.
Here's the official synopsis:

Insomniac Games fully revealed Fuse this morning, which (as suspected) is the Overstrike title that the company announced at E3 2011.
The announcement was made on the game’s official site, which appeared after the FuseGame countdown clock expired this morning. Interestingly, the site also contains a link to a message from Insomniac’s Ted Price apologizing for the lack of a trailer to go along with the reveal. It turns out that the studio did have an “awesome trailer” planned for Fuse, but had to pull it due to a “last-minute legal-rights issue”. Fortunately, they decided to go ahead with the announcement and have given us plenty of details and screenshots to digest while we wait for the trailer.
