Game on, “Shevine!” “The Voice” coaches and famous frenemies Blake Shelton and Adam Levine declared war on Monday night’s episode of the NBC singing competition. It all started during the blind auditions, when Nashville-based contestant Dennis Drummond performed “She Talks to Angels” by The Black Crowes. As the singer belted out the hit, Levine quickly slammed […]...

Monday, we began the third and final week of the Blind Auditions for Season 13 of The Voice, and though I think we most of us can agree there are a few promising singers in the mix — including but not limited to Anthony Alexander, Moriah Formica and Chris Weaver — have we really heard The One yet? That, I’m not so sure about. (Then again, it wasn’t until the Battles that I realized Chris Blue was The One last season; I’m slow that way.) Are you zeroing in already on a likeliest candidate to take the title? Before you weigh in in the comments,...

As widely noted, 2016 has been a year of painful loss in music. This month has been particularly bad: Canadian bard Leonard Cohen, jazz hipster Mose Allison, "Drift Away" songwriter Mentor Williams, Boston Symphony Orchestra cellist Jules Eskin, music publishing icon/musical polymath Milt Okun, Country singer-songwriter Holly Dunn, music historian/Norton Records co-founder Billy Miller, the uncategorizable Leon Russell, hot-shot bassist Victor Bailey, guitarist Al Caiola, classical pianist and conductor Zoltan Kocsis, Black Crowes keyboardist Eddie Harsch, French electronica producer Jean-Jacques Perrey, Sri Lankan violinist W. D. Amaradeva, classic pop singer Kay Starr, jazz bassist Bob Cranshaw, beloved Los Angeles music journalist/proto-punk musician Don Waller, and Irish singer-songwriter Bap Kennedy. Bad news practically every day.
And now Sharon Jones, the sparkplug soul singer whose late-arriving fame is a heartening story of talent winning out and the value of persistance.

There’s a reason I wiped the most recent season of The Bachelorette from my DVR after only two episodes: I don’t actually enjoy watching real people get engaged on television. (Fictional characters? Get down on bended knee and keep doing your thing!)
This might explain the recurring waves of nameless dread I felt during Monday’s installment of The Voice, as host Carson Daly repeatedly teased how “coming up after the break” (after the break) (after the break that’s after the break) (because apparently we’re all going to change the channel to DWTS if there’s...

The Black Crowes have broken up. Too bad, too. Looks like the riff between vocalist Chris Robinson and his guitar playing brother Rich Robinson has shaken some feathers from the Crowes' roost. Apparently Chris wanted a greater stake in the ownership of the band. Brother Rich had this to say: "I love my brother and respect his talent, but his present demand that I must give up my equal share of the band and that our drummer for 28 years and original partner, Steve Gorman, relinquish 100 percent of his share, reducing him to a salaried employee, is not something I could agree to." Shades of the Rolling Stones "hired gun" practices or a calculated tactic to afford them one final tour in the very near future? Either way, any upcoming Spring/Summer 2015 tours will be missed. In the interim, we've posted this wonderful concert from 2013.

ETonline has an exclusive look behind the scenes of his zombified 'Trailer Hitch' music video.
As Sugarland's Kristian Bush steps out from Jennifer Nettles' shadow, he's been met with one resounding response: "Who are you?"
"Most people don't know my name," he admits to ETonline. "People are looking at me funny – I think they have low expectations."
News: Country Music Is Having a Major Moment
As one half of Sugarland, Bush has sold more than 22 million albums worldwide, nabbed five No. 1 singles and won two Grammys. On his own, Bush has scored six Bmi Awards for songwriting and established his own music publishing company and songwriting collective. (Who has low expectations now?!)
Bush's sunny, impossibly catchy debut single "Trailer Hitch" is steadily climbing the charts and on Monday, the 44-year-old performed the song on Today while announcing his "Give It Away" charity initiative with Goodwill.

The six remaining hopefuls competing on American Idol took on the dual themes of country and rock while the show continued its streak of celebrity appearances. Last night’s guests, Disney breakout artists R5 and finicky feline Grumpy Cat, took center stage on an evening that featured songs by Imagine Dragons, Heart, The Black Crowes, and Season four winner Carrie Underwood, who tweeted that Idols Caleb Johnson and Jena Irene “made my songs sound so good! You should be proud…I know I am.” Unlike previous weeks, the antics were kept to a minimum, save for a few Ryan Seacrest selfies with

NASHVILLE -- The Paradigm shift is almost complete. Monterey Peninsula Artists and Little Big Man will be fully integrated into the Paradigm Talent Agency fold, and the two boutique agencies' names will be retired, effective Aug. 13.
The former MPA will operate as Paradigm divisions in Monterey, Calif., and Nashville. MPA's roster includes Aerosmith, Dave Matthews Band, Toby Keith, The Black Crowes, Gov't Mule and Black Eyed Peas. Meanwhile, LBM, whose roster includes such acts as Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, the Fray, Avril Lavigne and Arctic Monkeys, will operate as Paradigm New York.
As always, the home office for Paradigm is in Los Angeles, where the company was founded in 1992 as an independent film, TV and literary agency by chairman Sam Gores. Clients include actors Laurence Fishburne, Andy Garcia, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Dennis Franz and Marc Cherry.
LBM was acquired by Paradigm in September, and MPA in January 2005. But all concerned say the two boutiques will maintain their independent spirit and unique approaches to business. "Basically what this does is it really puts us in this league of the big six agencies," Gores said.

Kate Hudson's romantic relationship with her You, Me & Dupree co-star Owen Wilson may be the reason behind her surprising split from rocker husband Chris Robinson, according to media reports in the US. The Almost Famous star announced she was separating from The Black Crowes singer on Monday after nearly six years of marriage. According to American publication Us Weekly, Hudson and Wilson kept things platonic while filming the romantic comedy, but a romance blossomed in June, when the two began the press junket for the film. A source tells the magazine, "This is not (just) a fling. Kate is crazy about him. Owen gives her so much attention, and she loves it!" The pair have reportedly spent many nights together at Wilson's home in Santa Monica, California and have even been spotted together having breakfast at health food restaurant A Votre Sante on August 3. The source also says the pair "often shared hotel rooms" while promoting You, Me & Dupree around the world. A representative for Hudson did not deny the affair when contacted by the magazine and had a "no comment." Wilson's lawyer tells the publication, "(Anything) that suggests that the separation of Ms. Hudson was caused by Mr. Wilson... is absolutely false."...

Movie beauty Kate Hudson and her rocker husband Chris Robinson have agreed to end their five-year marriage if either of them commits adultery. The Almost Famous actress admits she's often tempted to cheat on The Black Crowes star, but she knows he would leave her if she acted on her urges, because neither of them could forgive an extra-marital affair. She says, "There's always going to be temptation. We made a pact that if that day ever came we'd be honest with each other and say, 'For some reason I want to sleep with somebody else.' I'd love to say I'm the kind of person who'd say, 'I'm going to go through the bad and ugly, ' and 'Oh God he cheated on me, but we're going to regain our trust.' I'd be gone. You move forward."...
