"Ghostbusters" director Paul Feig is set to produce the film adaptation of Mickey Rapkin's recent Elle magazine article "Supermodel Snowpocalypse" for Paramount Pictures.
The true story tale is set in 1977 and follows a group of models including Jerry Hall and Maria Hanson, ad executives, and two aspiring model sisters.
The group traveled to Chile for a lavish fur-themed photoshoot., only for a snowstorm to hit and trap them at a mountain ski resort. The gang soon turned the place into their own drug-fueled Studio 54 with the other Brazilian and Argentinian patrons.
Stranded for a week with no working phones and the only access out of the building through a second-storey window, the American crew hatched a plan to escape back home.
Jessie Henderson will also produce the project which Feig will not direct.
