Story goes that Canadian artist David Irvine was minding his own business one day when he stumbled upon a box of old records sitting on a curb, waiting to be collected by the garbage man. Upon taking the haul home, he realized most of them were badly damaged and not even able to play, which is precisely when a light bulb appeared over his head, giving him the idea to breathe new life into the discarded pieces of vinyl by turning them into art. One man's trash is another man's treasure, as they say, and Irvine firmly believes that to be true.
