Marvel's "What If...?" animated series on Disney+ has allowed fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to see into parallel dimensions featuring alternate versions of their favorite superheroes and villains, from Black Panther to Thanos. Some of those characters, like Captain Carter, even made it into "Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness" before being hilariously torn apart by Scarlet Witch.
Now, Marvel Studios is teaming up with Industrial Light & Magic's Ilm Immersive group to deliver a virtual reality experience that will take MCU fans into the animated world of "What If...?" in order to stop variants of the multiverse from harnessing the power of the Infinity Stones. This is the first-ever interactive Disney+ original story, and it will be available exclusively on the Apple Vision Pro as a free app for a limited time. For those curious to see more, you can watch a trailer below that shows off the gameplay,...

Killmonger so far appeared in 2 MCU projects (not counting ‘What….If?’) but according to recent polls, he’s been voted as the 5th best villain to ever grace the MCU screens.
Killmonger’s greatness as a villain lies in his multifaceted character traits. His motivations are purely derived from personal and systemic oppression, as he aims to use Wakanda’s resources for global liberation. He has a relatively sympathetic backstory, and it certainly helps that he was portrayed with depth and emotion, by Michael B. Jordan’s charismatic performance.
The results are taken from Ranker’s poll of MCU villains, with 53 names on the list, I have to admit I was surprised by some choices. Thanos naturally took the number 1 spot, and I’m not sure whether this will change, even with the introduction of a new villain. Killmonger has appeared in two MCU projects (excluding ‘What If?’), and recent polls have voted him as the 5th best villain in MCU history. His greatness as a villain comes from his multifaceted character, with motivations rooted in personal and systemic oppression. His relatively sympathetic backstory adds depth, and Michael B. Jordan’s charismatic performance brings him to life.
The rankings are from Ranker’s poll of MCU villains, which included 53 names. Some choices surprised me. Thanos predictably claimed the top spot, and it’s uncertain if this will change despite new villains. Loki came in second, although Hiddleston has hinted he doesn’t see him as a true villain.
Further through the rankings, Ultron claimed the third spot, a notable feat considering his single appearance. Hela secured fourth place, also standing as the sole female villain in the top 10. Helmut Zemo landed sixth, followed by Red Skull in seventh,...

Ninja Theory’s 2017 video game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is cited as one of the best games of all time, but it would’ve never existed without director Alex Garland’s 2014 movie Ex Machina. Ninja Theory’s co-founder, Tameem Antoniades, once revealed that the movie, featuring Oscar Issac, inspired him to create the game.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
He explained that Garland told him the idea and he decided to create the video game in a similar manner with a small budget. The result was 2017’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, which follows Senua, a Pict warrior who must make her way to Helheim while overcoming challenges to rescue the soul of her dead lover from the goddess Hela.

Starting with "Iron Man: The Art of the Movie," the publisher is re-issuing all of the art books tied to (almost) every chapter of the MCU. "The Art of Iron Man 2" followed earlier this year, and there will be 24 books in the entire collection. Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man 3 received praise for its performances, but there was one actress whom fans would have loved to see more. Godzilla x Kong actress Rebecca Hall played Maya Hansen in the film, who had nothing much to offer in the storyline of the film. Interestingly, Hall initially had a more meaty role in the film as a villain, however, the character was later decided to be killed off towards the beginning of the third act of the film.
Robert Downey Jr. and Rebecca Hall in Iron Man 3
Hall’s role was reduced midway through filming and it had a very sexist reason behind it. Earlier Marvel films also had the goal of selling toys for Marvel Entertainment. The then-boss of Marvel, Isaac Perlmutter, believed that Hall’s female villain would not sell many toys compared to male villains.

A good blooper brings the fun in any circumstance, and a good sci-fi blooper provides the bonus of philosophical schadenfreude: A genre premised on the efficiency of technology, suddenly falling prey to the fallibility and unseriousness of man. A lot of the best sci-fi movies and shows — especially those of the more meditative "hard sci-fi" variety — don't even release blooper reels, so as not to break the illusion of an immersive high-tech world.
Among the movies and shows that do, however, we often have the pleasure of watching the villains of the high-tech worlds in question fumble their way through scenes and lines, or just up and go off-script for the sake of the crew's momentary entertainment. And the results can be hilarious, endearing, and even informative about what makes those movies and characters tick. From Cate Blanchett to Tatiana Maslany to Jamie Campbell Bower to a stubborn light pole,...

The gifts don’t stop in December at Disney+! In addition to holiday festivities all month long like the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade and the CMA Country Christmas Special, the House of Mouse streamer will soon become the home for Whovians and Demigods.
Disney+ will deck the halls with a glut of Gallifreyan adventures and the premiere of the long-awaited “Doctor Who” anniversary specials. The first of the three debuted on BBC One and on the Disney streamer on Nov. 25, but the other two David Tennant and Catherine Tate-led serials will arrive on Dec. 2 and Dec. 9. Later in the month, ring in Christmas with the franchise’s holiday special with Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson getting their full-episode debuts.
And the wait is over for “Percy Jackson” fans, who will see the beloved Rick Riordan book series get a (hopefully) respectful adaptation with the premiere of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Marvel’s What If? Is back for a second series on Disney+ this December – and here’s the trailer to prove it…
What If? was a surprising, fun addition to the Marvel canon when it first landed on Disney+, perhaps because the sheer scale of storytelling possibilities is so huge.
Series one featured scenarios as wide ranging as Peggy Carter becoming the First Avenger and T’Challa becoming a Star Lord, to examining what might have happened if artificially-intelligent supervillain Ultron hadn’t been defeated by those pesky Avengers. It doesn’t look like the next run of the show will be pulling its punches either.
Promotion is underway for it now, and we now have a synopsis for the second series. It doesn’t tell us much, but nevertheless reads as follows:

Things have gotten a little twisted in the multiverse. The Watcher (Jeffrey Wright) returns in Marvel’s What If…? Season 2 trailer (above). And in the spirit of the holiday season, the animated series invites fans to unwrap a new episode every night for nine nights this December. What If…? Season 2 premieres on Friday, December 22, on Disney+, with one episode coming out every night for nine nights. The trailer introduces a new group of Avengers, as well as introduces Karen Gillan‘s Nebula, Cate Blanchett‘s Hela, and Jon Favreau‘s Happy Hogan into the animated series. A young and powerful Peter Quill is also seen going up against a group of heroes, and Thanos appears fighting both Captain Carter (who’s voiced by Hayley Atwell again in Season 2) and Captain America (voiced by Josh Keaton) in separate instances. The latter fight is a recreation of Captain America and Thanos’ one-on-one fight in Avengers: Infinity War.

Marvel and Disney+ have been sprinkling out little details about season 2 of the Disney+ series "What If... ?" over the last few months, like a proper introduction to the Alternate Gamora, as well as the inclusion of Marvel's first Mohawk superhero, Kahhori, who was created specifically for the show. The character's inclusion was actually spoiled early when she appeared as part of a limited-edition Funko collectable, so it's clear that Marvel has high expectations for the new episode. The series has been called "the ultimate superhero fan fiction," and boasts some truly incredible animation.
The first season of the hit series looked at what would happen to all our favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe characters if things had been different. In season 1, we saw what could have happened (and maybe did in a different part of the multiverse) if Peggy Carter got the super-soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers and became Captain Carter.

Taika Waititi told Business Insider while promoting his new sports comedy “Next Goal Wins” that he “won’t be involved” in a fifth “Thor” movie, at least if it’s happening anytime in the next six years or so. The Oscar winner directed Chris Hemsworth in the beloved “Thor: Ragnarok” (2017) and the hugely divisive “Thor: Love and Thunder” (2022). A fifth “Thor” film is currently not on Marvel’s upcoming slate, although the character is still very much alive within the MCU and the door is presumably open for his return.
“I wouldn’t know if that’s accurate,” Waititi said when asked about the social media rumors claiming “Thor 5” is in development but not with him as director. “I know that I won’t be involved…I’m going to concentrate on these other films that I’ve signed on for.”

The third episode of Loki season two is a wild trip back to the past as Mobius and Loki try to track down Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes, who have been Mia since the season one finale. They find the pair trying to alter history at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893, and are also led to a variant of He Who Remains, one who could potentially help them with their temporal loom problems back at the Tva.
A ton of detail has gone into recreating the World’s Fair, and Hwr variant Victor Timely (Jonathan Majors) puts on a spectacle for the crowd there, showing off an early version of the loom that doesn’t yet work as described. But before Loki and Mobius clap their eyes on Timely, they meander through the fair and take in some of the attractions, including a diorama...

Tom Hiddleston has portrayed Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for over a decade. The actor made his debut as the god of mischief in 2011's "Thor." Since then, he's reprised his role in various Marvel projects, including "The Avengers," which features Loki as the film's main villain. Currently, Hiddleston is playing Loki in his own Disney+ series. "Loki" has been a major success since its premiere in June 2021. In fact, it's the only original MCU series on the platform to get a second season.
As the MCU dives further into Phase 5, Loki continues to play a central part in the franchise. If you're a big fan of the god of mischief, you may be curious to know more about his origins. While Loki is based on the character of the same name from the Marvel comics, he was initially inspired by Norse mythology. Of course, Marvel's version of Loki differs from the Norse deity,...

The animated streaming series ‘What If…?’ is one of the most unique and most interesting MCU projects. Not only because of the fact that it was the first animated piece of MCU content but also because everything that happens in this series is non-canonical events that show what would happen if some key moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe had played out differently.
The series’s first season featured nine episodes, some of which were amazing and some were… not. The series features the voice talent of Jeffrey Wright as the Watcher, and various MCU actors have returned to voice their respective characters, with a few exceptions, where new actors were hired to replace actors from live action.
The first season dealt with many key events from the Infinity Saga, and the second one will continue to do so, but it will also dip fingers into the ongoing Multiverse Saga.

While some original Avengers like Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man, Chris Evans’ Captain America, and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow have bid their farewell to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, some other original members of the team are still there, and there are chances we could see more of them in the future. Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk was last seen last year in the ‘She-Hulk’ series, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye a year before in the ‘Hawkeye’ series, and the situation with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is particularly interesting.
Chris Hemsworth debuted as God of Thunder in the original ‘Thor’ movie in 2011 before he reprised the role in all four ‘Avengers’ movies and three ‘Thor’ sequels. His fourth and currently latest standalone movie, ‘Thor: Love & Thunder,’ was released in 2022, and despite mixed reviews that deemed it inferior to 2017’s ‘Thor: Ragnarok,’ the movie grossed $760 million worldwide.
