The ‘Degrassi’ cast tells all: Find out who cried, who’s sticking around, and who’s drowning their sorrows in ‘Star Wars!’
This week doesn’t just mark the end of Degrassi: Now or Never — it also marks the graduation, and final episodes, of some of our favorite characters! HollywoodLife.com sat down with Charlotte Arnold, Raymond Ablack and Samantha Munro during a recent visit to the show’s Toronto set to get their thoughts on the big finale. I hope you’ve got some tissues handy.
Munro, Aislinn & Justin weigh in on Cake V. Eclare Justin Kelly & Chloe Rose on their new characters Munro Chambers tells us what scares Eli in season 11
“I’m really going to miss playing Anya,” Samantha says. “She cries a lot, if you haven’t noticed, and I’m going to have nowhere to cry anymore, so I’m going to have to do it at home.

Just how cool is Degrassi star Aislinn Paul? Not only was she kind enough to sit down for an exclusive one-on-one interview earlier in the summer, she was game for a new feature we like to call, “Snappy answers to silly questions.”
The TV Addict: Which cast member is most likely to crack up during a scene?
Aislinn Paul: I’d like to say that I’m pretty good at holding it together but Melinda [Shankar] and I are always cracking up during scenes. We were just shooting a scene this morning and we had a laughing fit, it was pretty fun.
When you’re not shooting, which cast member is most likely to be checking their phones, twittering, texting and what have you?
Aislinn Paul: Melinda is great at her social networking but I’d say Munro [Chambers] is probably on his phone the most, he’s always texting people.

Do you like Owen & Anya together? Watch our new interview & vote!
Holly J. may not be a fan of Owen and Anya’s new relationship on Degrassi, but I know two people who are — Daniel Kelly and Samantha Munro! I sat down with both halves of “Ownya” during a recent visit to the show’s Toronto set to find out what makes the new couple tick.
“We like each other now, as opposed to loathing each other,” Samantha says of their dynamic, which viewers have gotten to see in the past few weeks. “Their relationship has gotten a lot better, and I actually really like it. They really help each other out, and they balance each other pretty well.”
Daniel echoes Samantha’s thoughts, adding how glad he is that fans are getting to see a new side of Owen this season.

It’s time to choose: Should Clare give Eli a second chance, or move on with Jake? Pick your side & vote!
There’s a food fight brewing at Degrassi, and it’s about to get delicious. Now that Clare (Aislinn Paul) and Eli (Munro Chambers) are on the outs, she’s free to date someone else — and she’s got her eye on new-guy Jake (Justin Kelly.) I spoke with Munro, Aislinn and Justin during a recent trip to the show’s Toronto set to get their thoughts on the Cake (Clare + Jake) and Eclare (Eli + Clare) pastry battle.
Daniel Kelly & Samantha Munro on Anya’s future with Owen! Keke Palmer on her season premiere hookup with Sav! Justin Kelly & Chloe Rose dish on their new characters!
“Jake has a lightness to him that’s completely different from Eli,” Aislinn explains. “Eli was always a very hard character for Clare to handle and support.

If you thought last night’s ‘Degrassi’ was intense for Anya & Owen, trust me — you haven’t seen anything yet!
Poor Anya (Samantha Munro.) As if it wasn’t bad enough that she got rejected from Toronto University and found out her almost-boyfriend Dr. Chris is moving to Kenya for a year, she ended last night’s episode of Degrassi by hooking up with the one guy she’s been dodging since last season — Owen (Daniel Kelly!) I sat down with Daniel and Samantha during a recent visit to the show’s Toronto set to get the scoop on all things “Ownya.”
“Anya does some things … that I didn’t even expect to happen at all,” Samantha tells HollywoodLife.com. “Everyone was in the read-through going, ‘You didn’t!’ And I did.”
As for Anya’s relationship with Owen, Daniel equates the potential couple to Star Wars‘ Han Solo and...

Go backstage at ‘Degrassi’ for a musical performance like no other. Seriously, prepare yourselves.
Degrassi has given us many a hit musical group during the past decade — The Three Tenners, The Stüdz, and of course, Paige Michalchuk & The Sex Kittens — but I believe I’ve discovered its finest act yet. I’d like to present to you the freestylings of Daniel Kelly, with Munro Chambers and Jahmil French as his fly backup dancers, in a rare performance I captured during a recent visit to the show’s Toronto set.
(Side note, slash admission of guilt: My camera cut off the first 20-or-so seconds of this brilliant work of art. You still get most of the rap, but not the lovely intro in which Aislinn Paul drops the beat from the computer in the background.)
Enjoy:

Lots of changes this week! Should Anya give Owen a chance? Will Alli get back with Drew? Read on & tell us!
Just as Annie Clark hinted in our interview, the April 8 episode of Degrassi brought the end of “Fadam,” as Fiona finally realized she only liked the girl-half of transgender boyfriend Adam (Jordan Todosey.) And while the announcement came as a shock to Mama Coyne (aka the classiest woman of all time), I think everyone’s a little relieved to hear Fiona’s not into guys — at least this means she won’t be kissing her brother again!
And even though Fiona’s dreams were full of “Folly J” action, she decided not to act on her impulses with Holly J (Charlotte Arnold) — not yet, at least. Maybe Fiona isn’t as attracted to girls on dialysis as she thought she did.
Meanwhile in Degrassi-land, Alli (Melinda Shankar) continued her...

We here at Quick Stop Entertainment are true lovers of music, in all its forms. We’re also quite keen on the spirit of competition, and of spurring creativity through said competition.
To that end, we launched a unique form of creative combat here at the Stop.
In this age of manufactured and painfully earnest talent contests, we’ve decided to instead shine a light on the quirky, quixotic underworld of musicians that don’t get nearly the attention they deserve.
Ah, but I did mention that there was a competition involved…
Like a songwriting version of Iron Chef, the competitors will be presented with a very specific songwriting challenge. They’ll be given one week to complete their songs - however they see fit, within the parameters set forth - after which time the entries will be uploaded to Quick Stop to be voted on by you, the audience.
