This article contains spoilers for the May 21 episode of “FBI,” “Ring of Fire.”
In Thursday night’s Season 6 finale of “FBI,” agent Tiffany Wallace (Katherine Renee Kane) finally takes out the Somalian terrorist who killed her friend — but almost loses her job in the process.
Tiffany was devastated when Hakim Siran (Antwayn Hopper) killed her friend and colleague Trevor Hobbs (Roshawn Franklin) in the Season 6 premiere.
Ever since, her focus has been on taking Hakim down at all costs. Even when she was told he was out of the country, she believed he was still in New York and blew an undercover operation to try to smoke him out. Her partner Stuart Scola (John Boyd) backed her play, but the character came very close to being relieved from active duty.

Exclusive: More ensemble drama series are reducing the number of episodes cast members are in as a way to save money. The series regulars on CBS’ FBI and FBI: Most Wanted will have their minimum guarantees trimmed by 2 episodes next season, Deadline has learned. The third FBI series, FBI: International, is not impacted, I hear. Reps for FBI producers Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television declined comment.
As Deadline reported exclusively this week, veteran cast members on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy also are getting their episodes cut next season by 3-4 in a cost-saving measure.
The move for the two FBI series mirrors the episodic guarantees reductions applied to Wolf/Uni TV’s Chicago and Law & Order dramas a year ago. The timing makes sense as such talent cost-cutting usually follows a renewal that nowadays comes with a flat or reduced license fee.

The FBI universe remains a massive success story for CBS, and the network revealed some exciting news on Tuesday afternoon.
FBI, the flagship series, has scored an unprecedented three-season renewal, keeping it on the air through the 2026-2027 season.
Given its continued success, renewal was a no-brainer, but given the continued struggles broadcast TV has faced in recent years, multi-season renewals seemed out of the question for most shows.
But you can’t have FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted without the mothership.
It’s the glue that holds this universe together, and there’s a slim chance the two spinoffs will outlive it.
FBI Season 6 is currently averaging 9.1 million viewers (in Live+7 figures), making it Tuesday’s most-watched series.
FBI recently aired a tragic twist for Maggie
The series recently staged a Rookie Blue reunion that ended in tragedy and forever changed Maggie’s (Missy Peregrym) future.

It seems it always has to be asked when it comes to partners on a procedural drama: (When) will these two characters get together? But that doesn’t mean that they will or should. Take for instance, FBI and partners Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) and Omar Adom “Oa” Zidan (Zeeko Zaki). FBI doesn’t go home with the agents or explore their lives outside of work much, but it’s doing so in a significant way—stretching slowly over multiple episodes and culminating in the latest—with Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) in Season 6. And that included a Rookie Blue reunion for Peregrym, with Charlotte Sullivan coming in to play her character’s friend and former colleague, Jessica Blake, a single mother. “I was so excited that Charlotte said yes to doing the show. She always just brings such a great energy. She’s so talented, and it just was so nice to have someone that I know that I could really genuinely just feel that with,” Peregrym tells TV Insider. “We have such small arcs on this show, so to be able to have somebody that I already had a connection with made it really fun to go to work. The FBI universe is no stranger to killing off characters, and Tuesday’s latest episode of the original series left us with more questions than answers as a death hit very close to home for Maggie (Missy Peregrym).
The series’ Rookie Blue reunion with Peregrym and Charlotte Sullivan ended in tragedy this week, as Jessica was shockingly written out of the show.
Throughout the episode, we watched the friends work on a case together while Maggie tried to decide whether she was ready to become a mother.
“I’m just not sure that I’m ready for the stress of it all—and the uncertainty,” Maggie admitted in a somber scene, with Jessica responding:
“I get it. You want control, but that’s just not how this works.”
Throughout their mission, Maggie is left wondering whether her friend was in danger after they thought she was exposed to a ricin-cyanide...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for FBI Season 6 Episode 6 “Unforeseen.”] FBI doesn’t explore the personal lives of its agents too often, but it’s doing so with the current arc for Maggie (Missy Peregrym)—motherhood—in all the right ways: by taking time with it. But then tragedy strikes. Maggie has been talking to her friend and former colleague, Jessica (Charlotte Sullivan), about being a mother, and now, she tells her boss, Isobel (Alana De La Garza), during her annual review, “I was thinking about IVF. I’m not sure that I’m going to do it. I want to. A big part of me wants to, but it’s a lot. I mean, just even getting pregnant, let alone the motherhood part.” Whatever she decides, Maggie has Isobel’s support. The case then takes priority: A man is killing people with ricin, modified with cyanide. (It reminds Maggie of the sarin gas.) After the second victim is ...

The FBI universe may have just returned to the air after almost a year off, but sadly, we’re already getting a short break in the schedule.
Unlike in the past, this latest hiatus has nothing to do with the show’s production schedule.
Instead, the shows on the broadcast network will take a breather on Tuesday, March 5.
After such a long break between seasons, a surefire way to ruin the momentum for FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted is to put them on hiatus.
But this time, it’s necessary. There was the hope that with all CBS dramas airing truncated seasons, the breaks in the schedule would be pretty much non-existent.
The three FBI universe series have aired three episodes, so we’re still very early into their latest runs.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for FBI Season 6 Episode 3 “Stay in Your Lane.”] Sorry, Oa (Zeeko Zaki). We just don’t think this new romance is going to work out. The latest FBI episode not only introduced his new girlfriend, Gemma (Comfort Clinton), but it also, in the same scene, set up why it’s doomed to fail. After Maggie (Missy Peregrym) spotted Oa with Gemma, he told her that they’ve been dating for three weeks and he makes her happy. “You really like her,” Maggie could tell. “She’s different. I’ve never met anybody like her. She grew up Upper East Side, penthouses, private schools, she’s down to earth, fun,” he said. “Almost too good to be true.” His partner agreed that she “probably is.” So already, we’re looking at this relationship as one that likely won’t last. A month ago, we were anxiously anticipating the premiere of FBI Season 6 and many other CBS dramas.
Now, we’re three episodes into the latest season of the Dick Wolf series.
We’ve had a shocking death that propelled the story forward, Scola (John Boyd) struggling to navigate being a father with his high-stakes job, and his girlfriend, Nina (Shantel VanSanten), moving over to FBI: Most Wanted.
Where does the hit series go next?
Thankfully, details for FBI Season 6, Episode 3, airing Tuesday, February 27, have been revealed, and we’re starting to worry about Oa (Zeeko Zaki).
According to the latest press release from CBS, Oa is “smitten with his new love interest.”
Is Oa in trouble?
Because there’s always a caveat when one of our beloved characters gets into a relationship with a character we don’t know, the network is already teasing trouble in paradise.
