Hypothermia takes place in Maine in the dead of winter. Ray Pelletier and his wife, Helen, have been ice fishing the frozen expanse of Lake Noyade for over two decades, but this year something is different: no fish bite. Is it their new neighbors on the ice -- Stevie, Jr. and his overbearing Dad -- with their high-tech gear and over-sized rig that are driving the fish away? Or is it something else? The answer comes in an onslaught of ferocious attacks that unite the two families...

The star-studded ultra-gory Satan Hates You has a DVD cover for us to enjoy. The film is coming from cult label Danger After Dark on October 10th. James Felix McKenny of Automation fame directs.
Dubbed “a clever collision of flamboyant gore and social commentary” by Variety, the over-the-top shocker follows Marc (Don Wood), a homicidal maniac driven by demons buried deep within his soul, and Wendy (Christine Spencer), a young girl who lives life fast and hard without a second’s thought to the consequences. Their separate paths will eventually cross, but will it be on the road to salvation or the highway to hell?
Tla President Derek Curl said: “We couldn’t think of a better title to re-launch Danger After Dark with. Satan Hates You has all the makings of a true cult classic, and we can’t wait to bring it to the fans.”

Hard to say for certain whether or not Satan Hates You will turn out to be anything more than a bunch of forced humor and a pile of stunt casting. I'll be honest, it certainly appears that way. But I'm curious to give it a whirl and, admittedly, today's look at the DVD cover art is pretty awesome.
Satan Hates You is an over-the-top shocker full of blood, gore and plenty of appearances by genre favorites. The Hypothermia Teaser Trailer has premiered. James Felix McKenney‘s Hypothermia (2010) teaser trailer stars Michael Rooker, Greg Finley, Blanche Baker, Don Wood, and Amy Chang. Hypothermia‘s plot synopsis: “Imagine Jaws under the ice, imagine terror at 20 degrees below freezing… In a remote winter hideaway devoid of any sign of life, two unsuspecting families on an ice-fishing vacation discover something sinister lurking in the frozen lake. One thing is for certain – the creature is hungry, and the only prey left is human.”
They certainly didn’t hold back on this teaser trailer. The blood flows. I think they show the monster far too many times and too much of it but since Michael Rooker is in it, I’ll give it a chance. Hypothermia‘s cast also includes Benjamin Hugh and Abel Forster.

When Hypothermia was first announced, we spoke to director James Felix McKenney who said that one the film's influences was Creature from the Black Lagoon . That's very apparent in the Cannes sales teaser trailer that hit the web today. The preview features Michael Rooker and his co-stars tangling with a Gill Man of sorts living in the iced-over lake beneath their feet. There's plenty of creature and man-in-suit action to behold. Blanche Baker, Greg Finley, Don Wood, Ben Forster and Amy Chang also star in the film which Dark Sky Films is handling, so stay tuned for release news.

This Tuesday, March 30th, is the long awaited DVD/Blu-ray release date of Glenn McQuaid's I Sell the Dead, and our trilogy of interviews with its cast and crew continues with the one -- the only -- Angus Scrimm, who portrays the character of Dr. Vernon Quint in the film.
Elaine Lamkin: Thank you for taking time to do this interview with me, Angus. First question – how did you find yourself playing Dr. Quint in I Sell the Dead? What was the attraction? And how would you describe the good doctor, whose exit from the film is both hilarious and well-deserved?
Angus Scrimm: In January, 2008, this ruddy-cheeked Irish fellow with a perpetual twinkle in his eye turned up at the Burbank, California, studio where Larry Fessenden was filming the infamous rant I contributed to Jim McKenney's Automatons DVD "extras." Undeterred by what he saw, he offered me the role of Dr.

To go along with our exclusive image posted yesterday night, below you'll find a new behind-the-scenes look at the freezing cold set of James Felix McKenney's Hypothermia, which wraps production today (fittingly in the middle of a blizzard in upstate NY). A large portion of the production took place on the middle of a frozen lake - Great Sacandaga Lake in Mayfield, NY. We're told that the production team spent weeks filming on the ice, having to take snow mobiles/four wheelers out to the actual set making it a challenge to even grab a cup of coffee or use the restroom. Michael Rooker, Blanche Baker, Greg Finley, Don Wood, Ben Forster and Amy Chang all star. It’s the latest effort from James Felix McKenney (Automatons) and producer Larry Fessenden and it stars a whole lot of old-school horror icons, Angus Scrimm and Reggie Bannister among them. It’s Satan Hates You and Fangoria have just gotten an exclusive look at the trailer.
Inspired by films from the golden age of religious cinema, Satan Hates You is a graphic horror film that tells the stories of two individuals and their personal struggles with Lucifer himself.
We follow Marc (Don Wood) a homicidal maniac driven by demons buried deep within his soul, and Wendy (Christine Spencer) a young woman who lives life fast and hard without a second’s thought to the consequences. Their separate paths will eventually cross, but will it be on the road to salvation or the highway to hell?
Also starring: Angus Scrimm (Phantasm, TV’s Alias), Reggie Bannister (Phantasm, Bubba Ho-tep), Michael Berryman...

From James Felix McKenney (Automatons) and the whole Glass Eye Pix Crew (where should I start? The Last Winter, I Sell the Dead, Wendy and Lucy) comes a film we first mentioned Wayyy back in November 2007. A throwback to Christian scare films of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, James directed this himself and like any other Monsterpants/Glass Eye Pix film I'm greatly looking forward to it.. Did I say these guys got the magic touch? Just look who's in it: Larry Fessenden, Angus Scrimm, Reggie Bannister, Michael Berryman, Debbie Rochon, Pauly Perrette, John Levene and a cameo from author Max Brooks.
Inspired by films from the golden age of religious cinema, Satan Hates You is a graphic horror film that tells the stories of two individuals and their personal struggles with Lucifer himself.
We follow Marc (Don Wood) a homicidal maniac driven by demons buried deep within his soul,...

New York genre stalwart Larry Fessenden has been a very busy man as of late. The writer/director of the much-praised Wendigo and The Last Winter has become a veritable East Coast Roger Corman in recent years, producing a string of low-budget genre features for the Scareflix banner of his Glass Eye Pix production company. One of them, the psychedelically tinged I Can See You, will soon have its premiere theatrical engagement in Manhattan—with a special added bonus.
I Can See You (pictured right), the feature writer/directing debut of Graham Reznick (sound designer on Scareflix’s The Roost, Automatons and Trigger Man), will be playing at the new hi-def Cinema Purgatorio theater at Kgb/Kraine (85 East 4th Street) starting Wednesday, April 29 and continuing at least through Tuesday, May 5, with an additional show already slated for Sunday, May 10. Great news, Satan fans! James Felix McKenney just dropped us a line with the news that his fourth feature, Satan Hates You, is officially in the can! The film’s been in various stages of production for a long time now, so I’m sure the crew at MonsterPants Movies and Glass Eye Pix are breathing a sigh of relief today!
The film stars Don Wood, Christine Spencer, Angus Scrimm, Reggie Bannister, Michael Berryman, Larry Fessenden and Debbie Rochon in a story about two troubled individuals (Wood and Spencer) who begin to realize they’re in the carpool lane to damnation! Inspired by the “Satanic panic” films of the 50’s–70’s, Satan Hates You has all the markings of the kind of unique film we just don’t get enough of these days.
"This film is significantly larger than anything we've done before,” McKenney said. ”With a huge cast and multiple locations around New York,...
