The Big Brother 26 season premiere arrives this July on CBS.
We finally know when the BB26 cast will grace our television screens and when host Julie Chen Moonves will welcome us to the Big Brother house.
CBS is returning to its two-night premiere for the hamsters and it should be a good one.
Julie Chen Moonves is also back as the host, where she will be featured during the premiere episodes, on eviction nights, and the season finale.
As previously reported by Monsters and Critics, we are likely looking at a much shorter installment than BB25. That’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Is everyone ready for a brand-new season of Big Brother?
When is the Big Brother 26 season premiere?
The Big Brother 26 start date is Wednesday, July 17. That will lead to the second episode debuting on Thursday, July 18.

Big Brother 24 winner Taylor Hale shared some fun new videos about her relationship with Joseph Abdin.
Taylor and Joseph met as BB24 cast members, and it looked like they were developing feelings for one another.
An official showmance for Jaylor never panned out, mostly because Joseph was evicted during the infamous Split House twist.
As a reminder, the BB24 cast was split in half midway through the season, with half the players forced to live a week in the backyard.
Joseph recently posted a remark about his BB24 elimination, answering a query from host Julie Chen Moonves about the most memorable Double Evictions.
After playing Big Brother, Taylor and Joseph reunited in the real world, where they began a romantic relationship. The couple didn’t remain together but have stayed very close since then.

Nymphia was named the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16, taking home a nice $200,000 check for her hard work.
Nymphia also earned the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar.
“To those who feel like they don’t belong, just remember to live fearlessly and have courage to live your truth. And Taiwan, this is for you!” she told Entertainment Weekly.

Ho, ho, holy comeback. Nicole Franzel pulled off not one but two comebacks on Thursday’s “Big Brother Reindeer Games” to become the holiday spin-off’s inaugural champ — and save Christmas, of course. The “Big Brother 18” winner took down Season 23 champ Xavier Prather in the semifinal despite have a 30-second delayed start and then defeated Season 24 winner Taylor Hale in the final after being well behind in the first two of three rounds. But the final round, during which they had to stack 32 snowflakes, leveled the playing field.
“Mentally, for me, it’s easier to be like, ‘Ok, nothing lost if you don’t get this, they have an advantage, they’re kicking your butt. Just chill.’ I think her being so ahead of me is what helped me with the antlers because I was like, ‘I got nothing to lose at this point. I don’t even know if...

Big Brother Reindeer Games, the surprise hit of the holiday season, came to a close on Thursday night (December 21) as the Christmas-themed spinoff crowned its first winner. The two-week special kicked off on CBS on December 11 and saw nine former Big Brother houseguests enter “Santa’s Lodge” where they battled it out in a series of holiday-themed competitions in an effort to “save Christmas.” Those nine returning players were Xavier Prather, Taylor Hale, Nicole Franzel, Frankie Grande, Cameron Hardin, Cody Calafiore, Danielle Reyes, Josh Martinez, and Britney Haynes. The show was hosted by fellow Big Brother alumni Derek Xiao, Tiffany Mitchell, and Jordan Lloyd. Thursday’s finale came down to a face-off between Season 24 winner Hale and Season 18 winner Franzel. The pair had to scale a pile of foam pieces, navigate a maze, and build a tower out of snowflakes, and it was that last part that proved the trickiest.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details on who won the competition.
CBS’s Big Brother Reindeer Games, a six-episode spinoff of the reality series featuring holiday-themed competitions, held its grand finale tonight.
The two-week show, which launched Dec. 11, kicked off with nine Big Brother veterans vying to make the final four. The show was hosted by former Big Brother HouseGuests Derek Xiao, Tiffany Mitchell, and Jordan Lloyd. The objective: save Christmas.
As might be expected from the title, the Christmas theme was everywhere. The house was named Santa’s Lodge, and its entryway was decorated with flying reindeer and gold-wrapped presents. The living room has a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments and wreaths, and the kitchen, aka “Mrs. Claus Bakery,” was adorned with gingerbread men.
The battle threw aside season’s greetings and became fierce. In the end, Nicole Franzel was the winner over former Miss Michigan Taylor Hale, copping the show’s $100,000 grand prize.

Not to be hyperbolic, but “Big Brother Reindeer Games” has delivered some of the best and most exciting comps and comp results in franchise history in just three episodes so far. In the second episode, Cody Calafiore, as the Naughty and Nice challenge winner, got to pick his teammates for the Jingle Bell Brawl and assembled a comp beast dream team of his Season 16 cohorts Frankie Grande and Nicole Franzel, in addition to Xavier Prather, leaving Danielle Reyes, Josh Martinez, Britney Haynes and Taylor Hale on Team Underdogs.
But anyone who thought Cody’s super squad would dominate was very, very wrong. Even with Taylor having to decorate an extra tree as her disadvantage punishment, the underdogs breezed through the comp — and at one point were two trees ahead of Cody’s team — and pulled off the upset to secure safety. But the Season 22 champ, who was eliminated in Santa...

Big Brother has been on the air for over 23 years, delivering wild twists, quests for power, and drama.
This year's entry -- Big Brother 25 -- was the show's longest to date, clocking in at 100 days- long, resulting in one of the biggest duds in its history.
If you were in the market for twists that went nowhere, the game being randomly paused for a week thanks to a twist, and evictions not sticking, it was the season you've always been waiting for.
As a fan since the beginning, I want to forget about Big Brother Season 25 because it went on too long and didn't have the excitement of prior seasons due to the terrible pace.
While there were rumors that CBS could be prepping a Legends season for the winter as the network struggles with a lack of shows due to the strikes, we're getting something different.

It’s not nine lords a leaping but nine alums competing again in the “Big Brother” house. “Big Brother Reindeer Games” unveiled its full cast on Thursday and it’s probably who you might’ve expected.
The cast features five “Big Brother” champs — Cody Calafiore, Nicole Franzel, Taylor Hale, Josh Martinez and Xavier Prather — in addition to Season 12 America’s Favorite Player Britney Haynes and reigning Season 25 Afp Cameron Hardin. Rounding out the cast are “Bb” legends Frankie Grande and Danielle Reyes.
The inclusion of Britney, Frankie and Danielle isn’t too surprising since they were the ones who activated the multiverse on Season 25 with the Time Laser and unleashed “Reindeer Games” when they attempted to fix it on the finale last month.

Pop culture has long mimicked pageantry. It’s reflected in Taylor Swift’s sequined leotard, Beyoncé’s unmistakable strut, and even Margot Robbie’s twinkling grin in Barbie. The melangé of glam and controversy in pageantry encouraged The New York Times’ Lauren Herstik to co-produce the documentary How to Fix a Pageant.
“You have things like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé and Barbie this year each earning a billion dollars, or just about to get there,” Herstik tells Rolling Stone. “There’s a lot of connections between that kind of culture...

We’re midway into Week 7 on “Big Brother 25,” with repeat Head of Household Jared Fields priming a possible backdoor of Cameron Hardin while using Cory Wurtenberger and America Lopez as the initial (pawn) nominees for eviction. Last week, the game was flipped on its head for the son-mother duo of Jared and Cirie Fields when America initiated a big move against them by convincing Cory to work to get the house to vote out their closest ally Izzy Gleicher.
Will the Power of Veto comp fall in favor of Jared’s backdoor plan? And if so, what will come of the fractured friendship between Cory and Jared? The chaos won’t end soon as Julie Chen Moonves let us in on this week’s schedule that culminates in a double eviction on Thursday, September 21.

Hisam Goueli says he feels betrayed after a brutal eviction during Thursday’s “Big Brother” episode — and he’s pointing the finger at himself.
Speaking to “Big Brother” season 24 winner Taylor Hale for Et in the season 25 exit interview, Hisam explains why he doesn’t blame anyone else but himself after, despite his best efforts, he was evicted by a unanimous 12-0 vote.

The latest episode of “Big Brother” has addressed the removal of contestant Luke Valentine following his use of the N-word during a Paramount+ live feed. This controversy unfolded just one week into the start of Season 25.
Valentine used the racial slur during a casual conversation with other contestants Jared Fields, Cory Wurtenberger and Hisam Goueli. Heading into the first live eviction episode of “Big Brother 25,” the game was unexpectedly shaken up when the producers expelled Luke Valentine for his use of the N-word. That had everyone both inside and outside the house wondering if the live eviction of either Felicia Cannon or Kirsten Elwin would still go on as normal. Remember, just last summer, the backstage twist was scrapped when Paloma Aguilar voluntarily quit the show, which meant block-mates Taylor Hale and Terrance Higgins were both spared; Taylor went on to win the game. So who ended up being evicted on Thursday night?

All week long, “Big Brother 25” fans have been making their predictions at Gold Derby for who they think will be evicted on Thursday, August 10. As of this writing, Kirsten Elwin has leading 3/2 odds to be evicted, while Felicia Cannon is in second place at 10/3 odds. However, the “No One” option is steadily rising on our elimination chart, as some viewers suspect Julie Chen Moonves might surprise the houseguests with good news in the wake of Luke Valentine‘s removal due to using the N-word.
Week 1 started with Kirsten, Felicia, Jared Fields and Cory Wurtenberger all nominated for eviction when they lost their four mini-challenges on move-in day. Julie then revealed that the soon-to-be-crowned Head of Household would have the ability to remove two of the four nominees from the chopping block. Reilly Smedley won the Hoh competition and she decided to save Jared and Cory, thereby keeping Kirsten and Felicia on the block.

The new season premiered only three days ago, but Valentine has already been evicted after he was captured casually saying the N-word in conversation on the ongoing Paramount+ live feed. Luke Valentine has been removed from “Big Brother 25″ after using the N-word on the live feeds, CBS confirmed to Gold Derby on Wednesday.
“Luke violated the ‘Big Brother’ code of conduct and there is zero tolerance in the house for using a racial slur,” the network said in a statement. “He has been removed from the house. His departure will be addressed in Thursday night’s show.”
During a conversation with Jared Fields, Hisam Goueli and Cory Wurtenberger early Wednesday morning, Valentine casually said the N-word at the end of a sentence while talking about how he was previously in the cheese room. After catching himself, he apologized and said “dude” instead. Goueli and Wurtenberger were visibly stunned and left the room. Not again, Big Brother.

Season 25 of “Big Brother” kicks off with a live 90-minute episode on CBS August 2. It will likely begin with the first Head of Household competition, granting someone with a distinct advantage as the houseguests get to know each other. The Hoh will choose two people to go on the block for eviction, both of whom can ultimately save themselves with the Power of Veto. But what is the Power of Veto? And who has won the most in Bb history?
The golden Power of Veto was introduced at the end of “Big Brother” season 3. It allows the owner to remove one of the nominees for eviction from the block. The Pov also guarantees the holder safety should one of the nominees be removed. Unless there is some sort of twist, the Head of Household must choose a replacement nominee for whoever is taken off the block.

Julie Chen Moonves starts our interview with a prayer.
“Heavenly Father, thank you for this beautiful day, and thank you for providing peace and patience,” she begins, after asking if I’d like to contribute or simply listen.
I choose the latter and admit that this is a first in the decade I’ve been a journalist.
Faith has become an important part of Chen Moonves’ life, especially in the past five years — following the ousting of husband Leslie Moonves, the former CBS Corp. CEO who disappeared from the limelight after he was fired over sexual misconduct allegations in 2018. While Chen Moonves chose to leave “The Talk” in the wake of her husband’s exit from CBS, she remained at the forefront of one of the network’s biggest shows, “Big Brother,” which premieres its 25th season on Aug. 2.
Now, she and her husband watch the reality show together, along with their 13-year-old son.

Ahead of Big Brother‘s return to CBS with season 25, Julie Chen Moonves is opening up to Et about who the network originally wanted as host and how much longer she sees herself working on the reality TV competition.
When asked if there’s anything the fans of the hit series — which sees a group of strangers forced to co-exist in a shared house while they are isolated from the outside world — don’t know, Moonves says that CBS wanted another daytime TV fixture to host. “I wasn’t the first choice to host. It was offered and turned down by Meredith Vieira,” she says of the former moderator for The View.
Although she doesn’t remember how she learned of this tidbit, Moonves says she eventually confirmed the rumor through her husband, former CBS chairman and CEO Les Moonves. “I asked him. I said, ‘You know, I heard stories...
