- Jennifer has lived, studied, worked, and/or traveled in over 60 countries around the world.
- She graduated from Harvard, Georgetown, and Taipei American School, and she also studied at the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.
- Jennifer taught in a correctional facility for teenage boys in Boston, and because they told her having a criminal record meant they couldn't even get jobs bagging groceries at their local Stop & Shop/their only choice was to sell drugs/if she really wanted to help them, she should give them jobs instead of teaching them, she opened a coffee shop/bakery/coffee roastery to give at-risk youth jobs and job skills.
- She wrote feature articles for Africa Health, a medical journal based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, about bridging the gap between doctors and research scientists and about a modern MacGyver-like doctor and his medical clinic in a remote Tanzanian village.
- She wrote for Let's Go travel guides, independently researching and reporting on travel needs for budget travelers in Croatia and Slovenia including everything from LGBTQ-friendly discos to where to watch out for landmines.
- Jennifer was lucky enough to move to Tamuning, Guam, in the summer of 2021 and then live in Hualien, Taiwan, from fall 2021 to summer 2022.
