To mark the release of Agatha Raisin Series 4 on 6th June, we’ve been given a copy of the Series 4 boxset to give away.
Four series on and the Agatha Raisin (Ashley Jensen) detective agency continues to thrive, and there’s no shortage of mysteries for the savvy sleuth to solve. Resolving not to spend any more time dwelling on her Awol on-off partner, James (Jamie Glover – Waterloo Road), Agatha and her merry band of helpers have more cases to crack including a jam competition that spirals into a sticky mess when a judge is mysteriously murdered – Wilkes hires our favourite formidable Pi to keep a lid on things.
When James whisks Agatha away on a seaside trip to work on his new book, the last thing she expects is to end up in Snoth-on-Sea and be suspected of murder once again. And in an even more shocking turn of events,...

The made-for-tv movie was a programming staple for the broadcast networks in the 1970s and 1980s. While it fell out of favor in the 1990s and was even dropped as an Emmy Awards category for three years beginning in 2011, it has been on an upswing as of late. This year, 28 telefilms are in contention for the five nominations that will be revealed on July 28; last year only 21 TV movies were submitted.
All 22,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until July 13 to cast their 2020 Emmy Awards nominations ballots for their favorite TV movies. In the past, voters were limited in the number of telefilms that they could put forth. In 2017 that cap (which was usually 10 per category) was lifted. And, as opposed to the Oscars, voters for the Emmys do not rank their choices and nominees are determined by a simple tally.

The BBC is giving its Porridge sequel series the boot...
Sad news for fans of the Beeb's recently-revived Porridge, we're afraid - the series won't be back for more banged-up-(not)-abroad hijinx, as it's been nixed after just one series.
The show featured Kevin Bishop as Nigel, the cyber crime-committing grandson of Ronnie Barker's character Norman Fletcher, alongside Mark Bonnar, Dominic Coleman, Dave Hill, Harman Singh, Jason Barnett and Ricky Grover.
The BBC first floated the project as a pilot in its Landmark Comedy Season a couple of years ago. The new version of the classic sitcom was well received, and so 6 episodes were ordered and plonked in a Friday night slot. It performed fine there for a spell, but it seems that either the ratings, or general interest in keeping Ian La Frenais and Dick Clement's new Porridge alive, must have started deteriorating rather quickly.

A team of cast members from The Bill have taken part in a mile-long run around the drama's Sun Hill police station for Sport Relief. Alex Walkinshaw (Dale Smith), Sam Callis (Callum Stone), Micah Balfour (Benjamin Gayle) and Ben Richards (Nate Roberts) were among the stars who pounded the pavements surrounding the station in order to encourage the public to participate in a Sport Relief Mile event later this month. John Bowler (Roger Valentine), Rhea Bailey (Mel Ryder) and Jason Barnett (Eddie Olosunje) were also part of the team, whose efforts will be broadcast on BBC One's The Sport Relief Mile Show on March 21. Walkinshaw (more)...
