Jenny Mollen’s and Jason Biggs’ next date night will likely capture more attention than usual.
The actors, husband and wife, on Saturday will attempt to revive a cable-tv mainstay for decidedly new purposes. When “Dinner & A Movie” debuted on TBS in 1995, it did so in an era when cable had yet to gain its fullest traction. A male-and-female duo gabbed and quibbled about movies such as “Breakfast Club” or “Fargo” and scarfed up gourmet snacks before throwing to a commercial. In return, executives hoped, viewers would stick around longer than they might otherwise. In 2024, Warner Bros. Discovery, TBS’ corporate parent, wants to use a retooled version of the show — off the air since 2011 — to throw a spotlight on everything from the company’s movies to the chefs from its Food Network.

TBS has booked your Saturday nights for the foreseeable future as the network has announced the return of Dinner and a Movie. This revival will be hosted by Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen. The couple, who have been married for 15 years, are setting the table for fun in each episode with a mix of games, food, conversation, and of course, blockbuster films. For the premiere on June 1, it’s DC’s smash hit Aquaman starring Jason Momoa. Also on the menu are surprise guests stopping by including Food Network stars. They’ll be cooking up something tasty while giving their insight on how the audience can do the same at home. Biggs and Mollen were actually in 2008’s My Best Friend’s Girl together before dating, wedded bliss, and parenthood. No word if that movie or others the actor and best-selling author have been in like Amerian Pie are to come.

Jason Biggs is opening up about his past battles with alcohol, revealing he used to hide his addiction from his wife, Jenny Mollen.
The American Pie alum made a recent appearance on his wife’s podcast All the Fails, where he admitted that he continued to drink alcohol while attending counseling.
“I’m going to therapy and ‘working on things,’ but meanwhile I’m leaving therapy, having just had a good session, and I’m going to the liquor store and buying a fifth of vodka, drinking it and then driving home,” Biggs recounted.
Mollen said she was shocked to learn that she never realized the extent of his alcohol addiction. “How did I not notice?” she asked.
“I knew how to get wasted enough to where I took myself out of the life equation, took myself out of the present, didn’t have to connect in a way that made me feel things,...

The coming-of-age film American Pie was one of the surprise hit movies of the 1999 film season. Fans quickly became invested in a group of high school friends and their families in the Jason Biggs, Eugene Levy, and Jennifer Coolidge-led big-screen success. Two years later, American Pie 2 revisited the friend group, now college students. However, when the third sequel, American Wedding, was filmed in 2003, many cast favorites were missing. Why was that so?
Why were so many of ‘American Pie’s’ original cast members not a part of ‘American Wedding?’
In 2003, producers of the American Pie film franchise orchestrated the wedding of Jim Levenstein (Jason Biggs) and Michelle Flaherty (Alyson Hannigan) as the centerpiece of American Wedding. The movie intended to bring together the cast of the first two installments as a love letter for the characters and film fans who supported the franchise since 1999.

American Pie is one of those cult classic movies that anyone who grew up in the 1990s has probably seen — many times. It was known for its humor and certainly catered to a more adult audience, but it was loaded with characters that nobody could ever forget.
While it’s been nearly 25 years since the movie was released, some of the actors have remained household names. Where is the American Pie cast today?

Jason Biggs was the film’s main star, and he went on to act in movies far beyond American Pie. There have been plenty of film sequels, and he starred in the first four movies, up until 2012. He appeared in films including Eight Below and My Best Friend’s Girl, the latter of which is where he met his now-wife, Jenny Mollen. Today, Biggs is worth about $20 million,...

Mara Wilson is looking back on her time in Hollywood.
The former childhood actress broke into Hollywood at the age of six in “Mrs. Doubtfire”. The outspoken star has often spoken out about how damaging her time in the limelight was as a young child.
“I don’t think you can be a child star without there being some kind of lasting damage,” Wilson told The Guardian. “The thing that people assume is that Hollywood is inherently corrupt, and there’s something about being on film sets that destroys you. For me, that was not necessarily true. I always felt safe on film sets… I think that’s because I worked with a lot of really wonderful directors, who were used to working with children.”

Jenny Mollen is opening up about a massage at a spa that wound up becoming a sexual assault.
In a new essay that the actress, author and podcaster shared on Substack, titled “Tell Me a Time You Were Molested”, she detailed the incident, which took place in a New York City spa in 2020.
“I’d been invited to the millennial spa for a comped massage and an adaptogen infused latte with the understanding that I would talk favourably about the experience on social media,” wrote Mollen, who is married to “American Pie” alum Jason Biggs.

Actor Jason Biggs and wife Jenny Mollen will celebrate 15 years of marriage in April, but they still aren’t entirely sure they are legally hitched.
In fact, the American Pie star joked that Mollen sprung an impromptu wedding on him. “Yeah, she tricked me,” Biggs deadpanned with Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “I didn’t realize we were going to elope.”
But in Mollen’s defense, the couple may not even be legally married. “We don’t actually know if we’re married. Because, we did it off the side of the road at a FedEx Kinko’s in Calabasas,” she said. “It’s one of those things. And the witness wasn’t exactly a reliable witness.”

Black Women Activists and Stars to Run White Stars’ Instragram Accounts for #ShareTheMicNow Campaign
All day Wednesday, dozens of prominent Black women in Hollywood, fashion, business, literature and political activism will be taking over the Instagram accounts of white women including Julia Roberts and Elizabeth Warren, as part of the #ShareTheMicNow campaign, which aims to amplify the voices and stories of Black women.
Created by Bozoma Saint John, Cmo at Endeavor, fashion designer Stacey Bende, and bestselling writers Luvvie Ajayi Jones and Glennon Doyle, the campaign will see 46 Black women run the accounts of 46 white women. “When the world listens to women, it listens to white women. For far too long, Black women’s voices have gone unheard, even though they’ve been using their voices loudly for centuries to enact change,” #ShareTheMicNow said in a press release. “Today, more than ever, it is Necessary that we create a unifying action to center Black women’s lives, stories, and calls to action. We need to listen to Black women.

"When the world listens to women, it listens to white women." This unjust truth is precisely what inspired the creation of the #ShareTheMicNow campaign. The initiative, which is taking over social media on June 10, centers on Black women speaking from the Instagram accounts of white women with large followings in order to share their stories and help foster conversations about racial justice. The initiative, which is taking over social media on June 10, centers on Black women speaking from the Instagram accounts of white women with large followings in order to share their stories and help foster conversations about racial justice. A new social media campaign launching Wednesday called #ShareTheMicNow will have Black women speak from the Instagram accounts of white women who have large platforms from Julia Roberts to Gwenyth Paltrow, Hilary Swank, Alex Morgan and Kourtney Kardashian. In the initial broad coalition of women, organizer Bozoma Saint John, Chief Marketing Officer at Endeavor, will take over Kourtney Kardashian’s account; Kahlana Barfield Brown will take over Julia Roberts’ account; Latham Thomas will take over Gwenyth Paltrow’s account; Angelica Ross will take over Hilary Swank’s account; and Ibtihaj Muhammad will take over Alex Morgan’s account.
#ShareTheMicNow wants to magnify “Black women and the important work they’re doing in order to catalyze the change that will only come when we truly hear each other’s voices,” the group said in a statement Tuesday. It “encourages Black and white women in relationship to recreate this action in their own spaces.
