Below Deck Season 11 is more than half over, and that could mean the end of one fan-favorite crew member.
The mid-season trailer featured Chef Anthony Iracane breaking down in the galley.
It’s not a surprise, considering he’s struggled all season long.
However, the most recent charter featuring The Real Housewives of New York City alum Jill Zarin just might be the end of the road for the chef.
This week, we saw Chef Anthony get a lot of complaints about the food, especially when Barbie Pascaul messed up the lunch order.
The current episode ended with an issue with the sushi as Anthony focused too much on Jill instead of the primary’s diet restrictions.

Chef Anthony Iracane has found himself in hot water again on Below Deck despite his efforts to make everything perfect.
This week, Below Deck viewers watched as former The Real Housewives of New York City alum Jill Zarin complained nonstop about Anthony’s food.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Jill was blasted for her behavior on Below Deck, but that doesn’t mean Anthony is safe from being fired.
We also saw Chief Stew Fraser Olender tattle on Anthony to Captain Kerry Titheradge for the messy galley and lack of organization.
The mid-season trailer teases Captain Kerry losing it with one crew member, resulting in another person being sent home.
After another cliffhanger episode, Below Deck fans are worried Anthony might not last until the end of the season.

Below Deck has entered the back half of Season 11, which means a tired crew and oh so much more drama.
Thanks to a new sneak peek from Bravo, Below Deck fans get a glimpse into the direction the show’s headed.
This week ended with Sunny Marquis’ jealous side coming out in full force after Ben Willoughby got flirty with Xandi Olivier – or so Sunny thought.
The aftermath is front and center in a preview – including Sunny realizing she overreacted and blaming it on her alter ego, Sabrina.
“After a couple of drinks, an alter ego of me comes out. Her name’s Sabrina; and she’s a jealous b**ch,” Sunny shares via her confessional.
Sunny apologizes to Xandi in a very awkward manner, which leads Xandi to call Sabrina out on her behavior.
Chef Anthony Iracane and Kyle Stillie open up
Later, we learn more about Kyle Stillie and his life in Scotland.

Will Smith is indeed the jack of all trades in the entertainment industry. A music artist, a TV icon, a visionary film producer, and an Oscar-winning actor, he has done it all. The Men in Black actor’s career started back in the mid-1980s when he became part of a hip-hop duo with DJ Jazzy Jeff. However, his popularity skyrocketed when he was featured in the popular ’90s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The show opened Smith’s door to stardom as he went on to embrace a wide variety of roles and starred in critically acclaimed dramas like The Pursuit of Happyness, Six Degrees of Separation, Ali, and many more. However, Will Smith threw all his fame and stardom away when he slapped Chris Rock, the presenter of the Best Documentary feature at 94th Academy Awards back in 2022, eventually derailing his career.

In narrative time, “Dune: Part Two” starts just three hours after the first “Dune” ends, but the decision to open the film in the middle of an eclipse makes it feel like a completely different world.
During a recent interview for IndieWire’s Filmmaker Toolkit podcast, filmmaker Denis Villeneuve referred to his “idea of the eclipse at the beginning as a tool” to bring an “aesthetic shock” to his sequel. While this choice is motivated by how Paul (Timothée Chalamet) and his mother, Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), feel out of place in the desert world of the Fremen, it also gave Villeneuve and his team permission to wipe the color palette clean and choose lighting and camera techniques that cinematographer Greig Fraser called “left of center” in the film’s press notes.

Steven Spielberg had nothing but praise for “Dune: Part Two” while interviewing Denis Villeneuve on the latest episode of the DGA’s “Director’s Cut” podcast. The Oscar winner told Villeneuve that “you have made one of the most brilliant science-fiction films I’ve ever seen,” which is high praise coming from the mastermind behind “E.T: Extra Terrestrial” and “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.” And that wasn’t the only praise Spielberg bestowed upon the “Dune” director.
“It’s an honor for me to sit here and talk to you,” Spielberg said. “Let me start by saying there are filmmakers who are the builders of worlds. It’s not a long list and we know who a lot of them are. Starting with [Georges] Méliès and Disney and Kubrick, George Lucas. Ray Harryhausen I include in that list. Fellini built his own worlds. After making his name in the wrestling industry, Dwayne Johnson finally decided to try his hand at acting and The Mummy Returns (2001) helped his dreams become a reality. Unfortunately, the role given to him was not what his fans would have imagined at all. Dwayne Johnson played the role of The Scorpion King, an unintentionally hilarious CGI demigod.

Even if you're not particularly partial to the bleak blockbuster action of Denis Villeneuve's "Dune: Part Two," you've got to respect the craft that went into making the sequel and its predecessor. "Dune" and "Dune: Part Two" are impressive technical achievements that maintain a suitably epic and consistently immersive look throughout, but crafting such majestic visuals wasn't easy.
For "Dune: Part Two," for instance, most of the movie takes place in the desert of the arid, unforgiving planet Arrakis. That meant that Villeneuve, cinematographer Greig Fraser, and production designer Patrice Vermette spent an ungodly amount of time trudging through the deserts of Jordan and Abu Dhabi in search of the perfect sand dune. As such, creating the planet Arrakis for "Dune: Part Two" left Villeneuve "sand traumatized" — and that wasn't the only tough part of the shoot.
Elsewhere, shooting conditions on "Dune: Part Two" had people passing out left and right,...

Below Deck `spoilers reveal that being two crewmembers down takes a toll on the St. David team.
The latest preview picks up right where things left off in the last episode, with Cat Baugh leaving the show.
This came the day after Captain Kerry Titheradge fired Bosun Jared Woodin, which we can all agree was needed.
Now, the St. David crew must work overtime to make the current group of charter guests happy.
There’s some good news, though. As the video kicks off, Captain Kerry learns his new deckhand will arrive the next day.
Until then, though, the yachties are faced with even more drama challenges, and a new feud emerges.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman and Denis Villeneuve’s Dunes: Part One share a unique but fascinating connection: their cinematography. Both films, despite being modern releases, boast a visual style reminiscent of the 1970s. This unique appearance was achieved by meticulous design.
Robert Pattinson as Batman
Reeves and his cinematographer Greg Fraser took a unique approach to capturing the visual elements of The Batman. Taking inspiration from gritty 1970s thrillers like Clute and All the President’s Men, they’ve deliberately opted for classic anamorphic lenses.
SUGGESTEDDune: Part One Cashes in $30M at the Box Office Despite Being Available For Free on Streaming, Raises Hype For Sequel
And, the same technique, that combines the power of digital filmmaking with the classic charm of making a movie. was also used in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part One, where the cinematographer was Greig Fraser again.
How Does The Batman and Dune: Part One Share a Visual Secret?...

After years in the industry, Brendan Fraser was awarded an Oscar in 2023, recognizing the actor’s exceptional acting chops. In recognition of his role as Charlie in Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale, the American-Canadian actor, 55, received his first Academy Award for Best Actor. He was the first Canadian to win the Academy Award for Best Actor for his starring role as an obese gay man, which brought him critical acclaim and many other honors.

This is a rare quality in Hollywood, where celebrity and fortune can breed arrogance and entitlement. Acknowledging this, his School Ties co-stars Matt Damon and Ben Affleck once mentioned that Fraser has “no ego”.

Continuing our previous article about the tools behind Dune Part Two, we forgot to mention one more important glass, which would be the IronGlass x Vlfv Mkii rehoused Soviet lenses. This fascinating lens was utilized in another interesting project as well…
The lens behind Dune Part Two: IronGlass x Vlfv Mkii The lenses behind Dune Part Two
In part of our ‘Five Interesting Facts’ article regarding Dune Part Two, we explained about the glass used to shoot the film. The team utilized spherical glass only. There were no anamorphic lenses, as opposed to Dune Part One. The reason for that is to allow full utilization of the IMAX aspect ratio (1.43:1). We wrote about Arri Rental’s Eclectic Heroes and Moviecam lenses (T.One and Look large-format lenses) that were paired with the Alexa 65. However, we forgot to mention one more important glass that is responsible for Dune Part Two’s unique and outstanding look.

Does Cat quit on Below Deck? It’s a question Below Deck fans can’t help but ask as Season 11 nears the halfway point.
Stew Cat Baugh hasn’t had the easiest time on Below Deck, even with Fraser Olender and Captain Kerry Titheradge working hard to ensure she’s good.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Below Deck fans have sounded off on the way Cat gets treated with kid gloves while Barbie Pascual takes heat from Fraser.
This week, we saw Cat call home and cry over not vibing with the St. David group.
Thanks to the previews for next week’s episode of Below Deck, the rumor mill is buzzing that Cat will quit the hit-yachting show.
After all, it certainly doesn’t seem like Fraser will fire her, despite Cat lacking as a stew.

Below Deck star Fraser Olender has defended his leadership style amid backlash for how he treats Barbie Pascual on Season 11.
Fraser is no stranger to dealing with challenging stews on the hit-yachting show and facing criticism regarding his job.
On Season 10 of Below Deck, Fraser was scolded by Captain Sandy Yawn for trying to be friends with his crew instead of a leader.
Fraser doesn’t feel that way and has doubled down on his leadership style despite the Season 11 drama with Barbie’s attitude.
The chief stew recently spoke about his leadership style, defending his actions and explaining why he will never change.
There’s also some Barbie shade from Fraser, proving further these two do not work well together.

Below Deck fans are sounding off after the latest episode of the hitting yachting show and watching Cat Baugh get treated with kid gloves.
Chief Stew Fraser Olender and Captain Kerry Titheradge have gone out of their way to do what Below Deck fans feel was “coddling” Cat when it was unnecessary.
Fraser ordered Barbie to be extra nice to Cat, while Captain Kerry took her out on the water for some relaxation to clear her head.
None of this worked because, on the crew night out, Cat called home crying she felt isolated and left out after not vibing with the St. David crew.
Social media was on fire as the most recent episode aired, and the frustration with Cat and how she was being treated mounted.
Let’s just say that Below Deck viewers have had enough of Cat, and Season 11 isn’t even at the halfway point.

The 2024 Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 10 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles. Jimmy Kimmel returns as host for the fourth time, joined onstage by an all-star list of presenters.
Kimmel previously said he returned to emcee the show partly because he had a feeling a popular movie might be nominated, arguing that it’s easier to joke about something the audience has seen.
“I am sitting in a movie theater watching Barbie and thinking, ‘Well, maybe I’ll do this again, because at least I have a point of reference with everyone,’” he said.
He said he also felt that with Top Gun: Maverick, which landed six Oscar nominations, including a nod for best picture, at the 2023 Oscars: “I knew there was a movie that people had seen, and it just makes the job easier.”

While the first installment was a massive success in itself, the second installment of Denis Villeneuve’s live-action world of Dune has reached even greater heights. That being said, it is being widely loved by fans worldwide, especially those who watched the first part and were absolutely smitten with it.
Dune: Part Two
However, there is something about Part Two that a majority of fans must have failed to notice: Its undeniable connection to Robert Pattinson’s 2022 film that marked his debut in the Dcu, aka The Batman. How, you ask? Well, there is one very iconic scene in the movie that is quite literally the exact copy of the one from Pattinson’s film!

A few weeks ago, we heard that the Nicolas Cage survival thriller Arcadian (formerly known as Sand and Stones) will be getting a theatrical release, courtesy of Rlje Films, on April 12th. With that release date just a month away, a trailer for the film has now arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.
Scripted by Michael Nilon (Braven), Arcadian has the following synopsis: In the future, in a sparsely populated world, normal life has been decimated. Paul and his twin teenage sons, Thomas and Joseph, have managed to claw out an existence in their remote farmhouse, yet they live in constant fear. When the sun sets, ferocious creatures of the night awaken to hunt and consume all living souls in their path. And when Thomas makes one small mistake, the nocturnal creatures gain the upper hand and come for them. In a race against time, Paul,...

Last year, Brendan Fraser won Best Actor for “The Whale,” which also won Best Makeup and Hairstyling for artists Adrien Morot, Judy Chin, and Annemarie Bradley. This is a combination of Oscar categories that have popped up several times over the years. But could it happen again this year? Well, theoretically, yes.
The brilliant makeup artist Kazu Hiro, also known as Kazuhiro Tsuji, turned Bradley Cooper into Leonard Bernstein in Netflix’s “Maestro.” Kazu Hiro landed himself an Oscar nomination for Best Makeup and Hairstyling alongside Kay Georgiou and Lori McCoy-Bell. Meanwhile, Cooper is nominated for Best Actor.
Along with “The Whale,” several other movies have done well with this pair of Oscar categories. In 2018, “Darkest Hour” won Best Actor for Gary Oldman and Hiro won Best Makeup and Hairstyling alongside David Malinowski and Lucy Sibbick. In 2014, “Dallas Buyers Club” won both awards, too, with Matthew McConaughey winning for acting...

Arri Rental, the company that has extensively supported the moviemaking masterpiece, Dune Part Two, released an educating article regarding the cinematography behind the film. We’ve gathered a few interesting facts. Cameras, lenses, and even Infrared techniques were implemented. Explore them below.

Dune Part Two was shot on the Arri Alexa 65 and Arri Alexa Mini Lf, as opposed to the first film that was shot on the Arri Lf (without 65). Hence, it was not shot on IMAX film cameras. That’s a bit strange since the IMAX CEO stated before that Part Two was shot purely on IMAX cameras. However, it’s Filmed for IMAX movie and not Filmed in IMAX movie. Captain Kerry Titheradge has given Stew Barbie Pascual some praise that she’s definitely not getting on Below Deck from Fraser Olender.
This week, Below Deck viewers watched as drunk charter guest Eileen fell getting out of the hot tub.
Barbie ran to help her and then escorted the guest safely down to her cabin.
It wasn’t an easy task — considering Eileen’s condition — but Barbie did it, and with humor to keep Eileen calm.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Below Deck fans have sounded off on Eileen and Tina over their behavior, and Barbie got props for not drop-kicking Eileen down the stairs.
Now, Captain Kerry has added to that by speaking out and crediting Barbie for her behavior.

Captain Lee Rosbach, the Stud of the Sea, once said that he always hopes he can finish a charter season with the same crew he started it with. That’s not always possible on Below Deck. In fact, it almost never happens, whether it’s because a crew member chooses to leave the boat or is fired by the captain.
Yet, five episodes in, season 11 of the flagship series has yet to see any departures despite the crew of the St. David facing some real troubles in the Caribbean. That said, we already know the other shoe is going to drop eventually, with crew members confirming that we will see quite a few firings before the end of the season. So, now that we’ve gotten to know the crew a bit better, let’s talk about who might end up leaving the yacht first in the coming weeks…...

Mari Yamamoto will star opposite Brendan Fraser in Hikari’s “Rental Family.” The film follows a down and out actor living in Tokyo, who is hired as the token American guy for a Japanese rental family company providing professional stand-in services. The Searchlight Pictures’ release will commence principal photography next week in Japan.
Yamamoto was most recently seen in the Apple TV+ series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” a sci-fi epic in which she appeared with Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell and Kiersey Clemmons. Prior to that series, she was seen in another Apple production, “Pachinko” opposite Youn Yuh-Jung and Jin Ha.

“Desert power.” That’s how Denis Villeneuve teases what’s to come at the end of 2021’s “Dune,” as Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atriedes looks out across the desert in awe as he sees a Fremen person riding a sandworm.
And Villeneuve does not disappoint. The director goes full white-knuckle thrill ride in its sequel, orchestrating a glorious sandworm riding sequence that took 44 days to shoot. It was the most complex thing Villeneuve had ever attempted to do. It needed to feel edgy, dangerous, exciting and real.
It took Villeneuve’s most-trusted collaborators to help him pull off the scene, in which Paul uses the thumper for the first time to draw a sandworm out from beneath the surface and mount the creature as Chani (Zendaya), Stilgar (Javier Bardem) and the Fremen look on.
