A new feature film based on the 1986 sports drama “Youngblood,” this time centering on an African American hockey prodigy, is in the works from Aircraft Pictures and Dolphin Entertainment. Rising filmmaker Charles Officer is on board to direct the film, which is slated to begin principal photography in early 2023.

Brendan Gleeson and Taylor Kitsch will star in The Grand Seduction, which Don McKellar is directing from a screenplay by Michael Dowse and Ken Scott. Scott scripted the 2003 French original Le Grande Seduction. Cast will also include Gorden Pinsent, Mary Walsh, Cathy Jones and Liane Balaban. Casting is by Heidi Leivitt and Lucie Robitaille. Roger Frappier produced the original and is back for the remake, producing with Barbara Doran. Shooting is just getting underway in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada and in various outport communities around Trinity Bay, Red Cliff, New Bonaventure and Port Rexton. Los Angeles, California (X17online) - Eric Dane is leaving ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy. The actor made his announcement Thursday, telling TV in a statement, "I am grateful to everyone at Grey's, ABC and Shondaland for the experience and memories I have had over the course of this run. It has been wonderful to work alongside and learn from a creative force such as Shonda Rhimes." Dane's character Dr. Mark Slone (aka "McSteamy") will not be completely gone when the show heads into their ninth season on Sept. 27. Although his love Lexie (played by Chyler Leigh) died in a plane crash last season finale, Dane is expected to survive and return for a send off.
