The X-Men '97 finale featured some huge Marvel Universe cameos, including Black Panther. However, we'd later discover that T'Chaka was beneath the mask, not T'Challa.
The decision has perplexed viewers, particularly when T'Challa's father is typically portrayed as the former Black Panther who fought alongside Captain America in World War II. T'Challa being sidelined has spawned many fan theories, with most convinced the decision must be related to Chadwick Boseman's death.
Following the actor's tragic passing, Marvel Studios chose not to recast his Black Panther. Instead, the hero died off-screen in the MCU, and 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ended with the reveal that he has a son, also called T'Challa.
In an interview with Phase Zero (via Toonado.com), X-Men '97 supervising director Jake Castorena was asked if there was a reason T'Chaka was depicted as Black Panther after the short-lived Fantastic Four: The Animated Series featured the...

As Marvel fans eagerly await the next installment in the Black Panther franchise, the legacy of T’Challa, as portrayed by the late Chadwick Boseman, continues to resonate with audiences. One scene in particular, from Captain America: Civil War, highlights T’Challa’s skills and competence as the Black Panther, leaving fans with chills and a desire to see him back in action.
Naturally, that raises the question: who should turn into the next Black Panther?
Is it T’Challa’s ex-lover and accomplished Wakandan spy, Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o)? Maybe it was T’Challa’s closest confidant, Okoye (Danai Gurira). Well, it seems the sister of T’Challa, Princess Shuri (Letitia Wright), is the only truly apparent contender for the throne, for now.

The franchise has yet to share any news about Avengers 5, especially after it lost its main villain Kang after the actor Jonathan Majors was sentenced and dropped from the role.
However, a popular scooper has revealed some major updates about the film. The film is set to focus on the ‘New Avengers’ which does not seem to include some Og members of the team such as Thor and Hawkeye. In Ryan Coogler's 2022 sci-fi war epic "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," a pair of fantastical, magical kingdoms go to war over a rare element called vibranium. Vibranium is a magical, energy-producing metal that allows both kingdoms to build amazing machines, and shield their existence from the human world. On one side, there is the titular Wakanda, an African nation that is home to the superhero Black Panther (Letitia Wright). On the other side is Talokan, a Mesoamerican realm deep beneath the Atlantic Ocean, overseen by the amphibious Namor (Tenoch Huerta). Like many films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the plot is unnecessarily complicated, but the visuals are first-rate, and the Afrofuturist aesthetic is amazing.
The inclusion of Namor was something of a coup for the MCU, as Namor the Sub-Mariner was famously one of the very first Marvel superheroes, having appeared in Marvel Comics #1 back in 1939. Namor was created by Bill Everett.

Debuting in 2016 with Captain America: Civil War, Chadwick Boseman became an integral part of MCU as T’Challa, aka Black Panther. Thereafter, the actor reprised his iconic role in Black Panther (2018), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and even in Avengers: Endgame (2019). When Russo Brothers Almost Quit On Captain America: Civil War (Photo Credit –Instagram/IMDb)
Captain America: Civil War beautifully set the stage in a way for the Avengers: Infinity War. When Tony Stark reveals to Bruce Banner that the Avengers have broken up, Bruce innocently questions him, “Like the Beetles?” It generated a lot of laughs in the theatres, but that might not have been possible if Marvel’s Creative Committee stopped the Russo brothers from pitting Tony and Steve Rogers against each other in the 2016 movie.
Civil War was directed by the director sibling duo Joe Russo and Anthony Russo and featured most of the Avengers. However, Thor and Hulk were not part of the film. It featured Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, aka Tony Stark, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch,...

The first issue of Marvel Comics' latest event series, Blood Hunt, hit stands today. However, it wasn't what we expected from a comic that's mostly promised to pit Earth's Mightiest Heroes against a seemingly endless vampire hoard.
It begins with the world's Darkforce users being turned into portals which have blocked out the sun across the globe. With that, vampires emerge from the shadows, feeding on humans and turning countless others.
The Avengers attempt to fend them off and, after he asks Miles Morales/Spider-Man for a favour, Blade reaches out to them with the promise of information capable of helping turn the tide. However, when his truck is teleported to their base, a group of ultra-vampires known as the Bloodcoven emerge instead.
They make short work of the team, either incapacitating or killing them. Black Panther and Thor both die, though the latter buys Captain America, Iron Man, Captain Marvel,...

Mark Ruffalo has been playing the role of Bruce Banner a.k.a Hulk in the MCU since The Avengers. The actor replaced Edward Norton after his appearance in The Incredible Hulk. Since then, Ruffalo has appeared in all the Avengers films, as well as Thor: Ragnarok and the Disney Plus series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
While the actor has been an irreplaceable part of the Og Avengers, he is one of the few to not receive a solo outing yet. The MCU has also not explored much more dangerous and scarier versions of the Hulk, who has gone berzerk multiple times in the comics. Fans especially want Kevin Feige to introduce Maestro, who was already seen in the game Marvel’s Avengers.

Disneyland fans may be able to visit Wakanda soon.

Five years after it was first released, the legendary MCU film Avengers: Endgame still holds a special place in the hearts of fans. The cinematic event was preceded by the equally compelling Avengers: Infinity War, which saw many of the MCU’s beloved heroes be a victim of Thanos’ fatal Snap.
One of the highlights of the fourth Avengers film was the famous ‘Portal’ scene, which saw all of the heroes return back after the Og Avengers reverse the snap. The goosebumps-inducing scene is still remembered to this day by fans. However, the initial plan of the team behind the film reportedly did not include the legendary scene at all.

Fascinatingly, X-Men ’97 is not the first show with a rumored Spider-Man cameo this year. However, it is much more likely that Marvel’s Web-head would be able to make an appearance in the X-Men successor series given that Marvel might not have to jump hoops to bring him into X-Men ’97.
Marvel famously has to share its rights with Sony when it comes to Spider-Man, splitting his rights to appear in live-action films. There was a lot of anticipation about how the character might appear in Amamzon’s Invincible, but that was quickly sidestepped thanks to the hoops the show might have to go through to make that happen.

‘Captain America: Civil War’ was an extremely important movie in the MCU, primarily due to its introduction of the Sokovia Accords, which divided the Avengers and led to a conflict between Captain America and Iron Man, for the first time in the MCU pitting superheroes against each other, with no real winner in the conflict.
It also introduced new characters like Black Panther and Spider-Man, impacting the future of the MCU. The film’s character conflict and action-packed storyline had lasting effects on team dynamics and relationships within the Avengers, making it one of the most memorable entries in the franchise.
But did you know that MCU masterpiece was actually inspired by a Dceu flop? Joe and Anthony Russo explained how one of Snyder’s badly received movies – ‘Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ inspired them to switch lanes and gave them the idea to pit the superheroes in an epic ideological fight.

Coming off the success of The Dark Knight trilogy, WB wanted to take a similar route for Superman, leading them to bring Zack Snyder on board for 2013’s Man of Steel, starring Henry Cavill. But considering, unlike Batman, Superman is a bright and optimistic character, making him dark and brooding didn’t land well among fans, and with Bvs, these issues only aggravated.
While the Dceu might’ve gotten more wrongs than rights regarding the beloved heroes, it did excel in the costume department, especially with Superman, which inspired Black Panther’s iconic suit.

The moment that it started to seem possible that Bob Iger could lose the battle to keep dissident shareholder Nelson Peltz off the Disney board was on March 21, when leading proxy advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services announced its support for the activist investor. Days later, the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) took it a step further, saying it was voting its shares not only for Peltz but for his associate, former Disney CFO Jay Rasulo. Now that it’s over, it’s fair to ask: What were they thinking?

Nearly six years ago, Black Panther was a game-changer for Marvel and superheroes in general. The feature presented an all-black cast within the genre and managed to climb past the billion-dollar mark. However, the reason for Black Panther’s success isn’t simply because of the race of its cast. That’s due to the film having a compelling set of characters at the forefront. Black Panther is one of the older characters in the comics that was first created back when Stan Lee and Jack Kirby first introduced him in Fantastic Four #52. There are innumerable tales of films in Tinseltown that were never finished due to a variety of reasons. But among the most strange and tragic cases is the follow-up to the classic Russell Crowe 1997 flick, L.A. Confidential, helmed by Curtis Hanson.
For those unfamiliar, this Warner Bros. film, which starred Crowe, Kevin Spacey, and Guy Pearce, was one of the greatest neo-noir crime works of the 1990s. Hanson and co-writer Brian Helgeland even shared the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for it. Also, the $126.2 million flick received rave reviews from critics as well as audiences, and fans were excited about a potential sequel.

Watch out Kevin Feige, because Nelson Peltz isn’t only after Disney’s CEO Bob Iger. In a recent interview with The Financial Times, Peltz attacked the Marvel chief, accusing him of focusing on the “woke” aspects of reality rather than thriving to making pure entertainment instead.
While he claims he isn’t looking forward to unseating any of them – that is Bob Iger and Kevin Feige – he did share his belief that the company’s mindset will need to shift if it still wants to remain the entertainment giant it is today.
