Every month there always seems to be a new horror anthology released and Tales From the Other Side is one of the latest. A very low budget one but that is something I’m used to and anthology horror is something I generally enjoy so I was happy to give this a go.
Featuring one wraparound segment and six ‘tales’ there’s plenty to see here. So let’s get straight into the first proper tale. ‘Petrified Boy’ at least starts off with some kind of creepy story about a touring circus and its main attraction – the petrified boy. The problem is the...

This time they’re sending the Titanic III, (Titanic II was a 2010 film from The Asylum), on its maiden voyage, which includes a stop directly over the wreck of the original, a movie the ship’s owners had to know was tempting fate.
Titanic 666 actually opens with a brief segment showing the sinking of the original Titanic and spoofing James Cameron’s epic before settling into the main story. We all know that those lovely folks over at The Asylum have a reputation for churning out low-budget, cash-ins of whatever the latest franchise or flavour of the month has currently hit the cinemas. From Transformers to The Avengers, you can be count on an Asylum production rearing its ugly head. That’s why I find it a tad confusing that Paul W.S. Anderson’s Pompeii got the Asylum treatment in the form of Ben Damaree’s imaginatively titled Apocalypse Pompeii. Did anyone even care for the original film? If this isn’t going to be the red headed step child, I don’t what is.

It seems oh-so-obvious, but would you believe me if I told you that 3-Headed Shark Attack is a sequel to the 2012 film 2-Headed Shark Attack? Well it is. Ray is also one of the best director that purveyors of Syfy channel shlock, The Asylum, currently have on their roster.
Of course your enjoyment of this film depends entirely on whether or not you’re a fan of the un-ironically bad films that The Asylum – and the Syfy channel – have made their stock and trade. For me their films are...

We've previously mentioned Jacob Cooney here on the site in connection with his film projects, but now he's released a new eBook called Zombie Fiesta: Volume I, which was created out of his hate for writer's block... and affection for the undead.
From the Press Release:
I like to write. I write for work, I write for fun, I write for myself and sometimes... if I’m lucky... I get paid to write for other people. So I guess you can say I spend most my days behind a computer, hopefully putting words on the page that will entertain the reader, the director, the producer or whoever else I’m hoping my work will reach.
Then there’s those days when writer’s block hits. You have nothing. The brain is dark, silent. The cursor stares back, blinking... winking at you from the white wash of the empty Word Doc on your computer screen.

When we first told you about the availability of Jacob Cooney's short film entitled "The Frolic" based on a short story of the same name by Thomas Ligotti, it was only available as a rather spendy collector's edition DVD or a finicky download that wouldn't work with all players. But that's been remedied now as Cooney has informed us that he's partnered with a new online digital vendor at a greatly reduced cost.
With the use of Indie Reign's technology, Cooney is now offering the film digitally at just $1.99 to rent for up to 7 days or $5.99 to own. Check it out below!
Directed by Jacob Cooney and produced by Jane Kelly Kosek (Wonder Entertainment), "The Frolic" follows the story of Dr. David Munck, a prison psychologist, who uncovers a deadly supernatural force in one of his inmate patients that ultimately leads him to his breaking point.
