So, that happened.
And by "that," I mean not much at all.
What is there to really say about Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 8? Other than it was an episode, things happened, but it had little importance or substance.
It's probably because so much of what has happened feels redundant.
Much of the hour felt like a combination of at least four or five previous episodes from the series.
I am scared of not living up to my patient's expectations.

Things like that are bound to happen on a series that has been on for 20 years, but when the combination isn't right, you're left feeling like you've seen it all before and can predict anything.
Of course, we knew that Teddy and Owen couldn't take the day off without some type of medical drama involving them.

“Go ahead,” the fates told Grey’s Anatomy’s Owen and Teddy in Thursday’s episode. “Take a day off work. But don’t expect work to take a day off you. Muahaha.” Yup, the marrieds’ attempt to reconnect with one another and nature at the same time led straight to a young woman who had fallen into a rocky hole. If it makes them feel any better, things weren’t going much more smoothly back at Grey Sloan. (Are they ever?) Read on, and we’ll go over everything that happened in “Blood, Sweat and Tears.”

Even after Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 arrives, there will be more of Middle Earth to explore, particularly through the lens of Gollum’s perspective. Deadline unpacked where the franchise is heading with longtime collaborators Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens. Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to make more films based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy work and the world founded on Peter Jackson’s original New Line trilogy of films, with one corresponding to each books.
“The Gollum/Sméagol character has always fascinated me because Gollum reflects the worst of human nature, whilst his Sméagol side is, arguably, quite sympathetic,” Jackson told Deadline. “I think he connects with readers and film audiences alike, because there’s a little bit of both of them in all of us. Dr. Mika Yasuda is going to be the first of the new surgical interns to leave Grey Sloan. Midori Francis will be leaving Grey’s Anatomy in Season 21, Deadline reports. ABC has not confirmed Francis’ exit. Francis is reportedly in negotiations to return in Season 21 for “several episodes” to wrap up Yasuda’s journey on the show. According to Deadline, this was an “amicable decision” because Francis has been “looking to branch out for the next step of her career.” Francis was cast ahead of Season 19 when the long-running medical drama introduced a new batch of surgical interns. The Dash & Lily alum joined Grey’s Anatomy alongside Adelaide Kane, Niko Terho, Alexis Floyd, and Harry Shum Jr. Yasuda has quickly found her place at Grey Sloan. Teddy (Kim Raver) has become a pivotal mentor for Yasuda. The young doctor has also started seeing Helm, but there’s been some tension ever...

The legacy of the great writer J.R.R. Tolkien lives on, but not all of its manifestations are equally successful. After mixed (mostly negative and neutral) reviews of The Rings of Power, it became known that several projects in Tolkien's universe are being planned, but the project that currently attracts the most attention and hopes of fans is full-length anime – The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.
What Will The Anime Be About?
The upcoming project tells the story of Helm Hammerhand and the defense of the fortress of Hornburg in Helm's Deep.
The events described above were precipitated by the murder of Freca, the ruler of the lands of the Dunlendings. At one of the councils, he asked for the hand of King Rohan's daughter for his son, to which Helm responded only with ridicule. Then Freca, enraged by the refusal, insulted the king and began to threaten him.

Lord of the Rings is one of the most iconic and culturally significant fantasy series of all time. Having one of the most dedicated fans, a story like no other, and a world-building that is deeply immersive for the audience, it is no wonder the film series is so loved. Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy excelled at many things, but special mention should be given to the films’ action set pieces and the attention to detail. In one of the crucial scenes in the second film, The Two Towers, Saruman’s army of Uruk-hai march towards the Helm’s Deep fortress, and the army at Aragorn’s command prepares to counter the attack. As the Orc-breeds line up in front of the fortress, one of the old archers under Aragorn’s command prematurely shoots an arrow.

For years, fans believed that if this one mistake from the archer had been avoided, casualties would have been much less for the defenders before Gandalf and Éomer arrived with the Rohirrim. However, an expert archer reveals that the scene in the film was technically accurate and explains what happened in the scene.

Exclusive: After signing rising filmmaker Sébastien Vaniček, CAA has helped him win a coveted assignment, as the co-writer and director of a new spin-off of the Evil Dead franchise for Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert’s Ghost House Pictures.
Details as to the film’s plot are under wraps. Moviegoers are truly living in the golden age of post-credit scenes. What was once considered something of a novelty has been rendered a necessity in an era when the Marvel Cinematic Universe and other film franchises are expanding faster than Dwayne Johnson’s biceps in a 5 a.m. weight session. However, the concept’s origins date back further than the dawn of the superhero movie era or anything equally fast and furious. Back in 1966, in fact, Dean Martin was proving to the world that not all heroes wear capes or drive ludicrously fast cars; some prefer a suave suit and a scotch. He may have been known as a crooner, but in the 1960s, Martin also played the part of Matt Helm, a U.S. government counter agent in a series of films based on books by author Guy Hamilton.

New Line’s new animated movie, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, is moving from its April 12, 2024 release date to Dec. 13 next year.
The move stems from a chain-reaction of Warner Bros re-dating today, spurred by Legendary Entertainment’s Dune: Part Two going from Nov. 3 this year to March 15, 2024, which then pushed that financier and producer’s other title, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire from that date to April 12, 2024. Robbie Robertson found his faith and purpose on the radio. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, this child of jewelry-plating factory workers discovered rock-and-roll via the Am airwaves of Wkbw out of Buffalo, New York, and fell hard for the blues in the wee hours when Wlac deejay John R. blasted the 12-bar gospel into his bedroom from the far-off music mecca of Nashville, Tennessee. His path was set, and it brought him to rowdy rockabilly artist Ronnie Hawkins, who was impressed enough with a teenage Robertson's guitar acumen to bring him on as a member of his backing band The Hawks. In the early 1960s, Robertson formed a bond with singer/bassist Rick Danko, singer/pianist Richard Manuel, multi-instrumentalist Garth Hudson, and singer-drummer Levon Helm.
It's here that these five, brilliantly talented rock-blues aficionados formed The Band.

In 1965, Bob Dylan’s fans felt their favorite artist had committed the ultimate betrayal by going electric. Dylan had grown bored of the folk scene and wanted to grow as a musician. His fan base, unfortunately, didn’t think this was a good move. While fans booed Dylan during concerts, they couldn’t bring themselves to completely turn their backs on him. Instead, they directed their anger at his backing band, the Hawks.
Bob Dylan’s fans did not like his backing band
Dylan hired Levon and the Hawks, a Canadian group, to back him in live shows. He already knew his audience wasn’t exactly receptive to electric shows; they’d famously booed him at the Newport Folk Festival. When he asked the Hawks to back him, they weren’t sure how it would go.
The answer, they soon found, was not well. Audiences booed throughout the performances, calling Dylan a traitor.

In 1965, a jeering audience at a Bob Dylan concert asked the musician where Ringo Starr was. This wasn’t because they had expected to see the Beatles’ drummer join him onstage. Instead, they were using his name to express their displeasure with Dylan. They felt he had turned his back on them to embrace a more Beatles-style sound.

“Before we went on, Bob gathered the four of us into a huddle,” drummer Levon Helm wrote in the book This Wheel’s on Fire: Levon Helm and the Story of the Band. “He said, ‘We don’t know what’s gonna happen. It...

In 1976, Martin Scorsese prepared to film The Last Waltz, a concert film about Canadian group The Band that featured artists like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Joni Mitchell. Things were going well until intermission when Dylan announced that he no longer wanted to be in the film. As Warner Bros. had only agreed to finance the movie if Dylan was in it, the news was catastrophic to Scorsese.
Martin Scorsese was not happy with Bob Dylan while filming ‘The Last Waltz’
The Band’s farewell concert, The Last Waltz, became the subject of a Scorsese film. The documentary showed the group’s impact and welcomed artists like Muddy Waters, Van Morrison, and Eric Clapton to perform with them. The big draw for Warner Bros., though, was Dylan. They agreed to pay for the film if Dylan appeared in it.
For the first half of the concert, all went to plan.

This is part of a series of frank accounts of the strike from Hollywood writers at different levels in their careers.
I guess the AMPTP forgot the first lesson privileged parents quickly learn: Do not short-change The Nanny.
Carol Lombardini did just that, and now SAG-AFTRA will strike.
First, let’s rewind: The pavement was as hard as it’s ever been. The heat, unbearable. Numbers, thinning. The loneliest place on earth, the picket line by Universal’s Main Gate — where the sidewalk literally fucking ends. Paramount was all airpods and sunburns. (Some gracious restaurant handed out lemonade. God bless them.) Even the family-friendly line at Disney felt a little like a chain gang.
Not gonna lie, we knew it would be hard. But by day 72 our souls were cracking. The distant horizon of the strike loomed long and large. But then the AMPTP fucked up. Big time.
Quite possibly...

The supersized season finale of Grey's had us on edge!
The romance was definitely in the air, and by the end of Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 20, Teddy was coding on the floor, and the interns were caught in one hell of a mess.
Grey's Anatomy round tablers, former TV Fanatic Meaghan Frey and Jasmine Blu, chatted about all the excitement of that finale and what they'd love to see in the next season. Join us!
Meredith made headway in her cure for Alzheimer's. Do you think she should've played it safe and cautious or went full force ahead sharing her theory even if people think she's crazy and it's controversial?
Meaghan: I'll be very honest; my eyes were rolling throughout the entire storyline. Of course, Mer is going to find a cure for Alzheimer's. Is there anything the woman can't do?
Even when she's left the show, she still...

What. A. Finale!
Keeping with the theme of Grey's Anatomy Season 19 serving as both a soft reboot of the series and the desperate shot of adrenaline it needed to recapture the essence of what the series used to be, the supersized finale felt like something gifted from us from the early seasons.
With Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 19, we had runaway brides and sexy hookups, and nerve-wracking travels. And Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 20 had Mer and Maggie's returns, multiple cliffhangers, love confessions, and so much drama and action it's insane that they jammed so much in.
They used up every bit of the two hours to provide laughs, build plots and storylines, introduce new things, resolve some issues, and push forward the story.

Everybody who keeps saying that ABC ought to pull the plug on Grey’s Anatomy can go ahead and take all the seats. The resurgent drama’s Season 19 finale made a beyond-compelling case for the series’ long and healthy future with a double header that included enough relationship upheaval to fill a dozen episodes as well as twists that left three lives hanging by a thread. And if you read on, we’ll go over all the details.

The toys to life craze may have died down significantly, but Nintendo is still making their proprietary amiibo and inserting amiibo functionality into (most of) their first-party games. Of course that includes the latest Legend of Zelda title.
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can scan several amiibo a day to spawn useful items, usually in the form of chests, food, and materials. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild uses amiibo the same way, but quite a few of these collectible statutes have come out since that game launched, so there’s more ground to cover. Plus, Breath of the Wild released six years ago; some gamers might need a refresher on how to use them in a Zelda game.

It was a slow burn to prep us for what will likely be an epic season finale.
From Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 18, we got a tragic death, Lucas telling Simone how he felt in panty-dropping fashion, Winston and Nick Boston-bound to win awards and face the sisters, and Helm's official return.
For an hour that squeezed so much stuff in, it doesn't feel as if much happened.
It was lovely to see that two of the latest additions to the attending team, Winston and Nick, are both receiving recognition for their work with the Catherine Fox Awards.
And it was fun that the hour spent a good time making fun of itself over how seemingly random that decision is when we've witnessed some of Grey's finest pull off some award-worthy medical wins without the same type of fanfare.
Owen and Amelia's bitterness over their lack of recognition were amusing,...

In the last Grey’s Anatomy of Season 19 before the two-part finale on Thursday, May 18, several relationships appeared to be reaching critical crossroads. Link was unnerved to learn that Jo had basically cleared pilot Sam for takeoff, tensions flared between Jules and Blue, and Simone and Lucas both seemed to be thinking what we have since she accepted Trey’s proposal: No. Just… no. On top of all that, Teddy and Richard had a big announcement to make. What was it? Keep reading.

Link is professionally back in business, but he's competing for Jo's affections with their new patient.
And Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 17 also delivered a self-realization for Lucas, the potential for Helm's return, the department heads coming up with something to address the intern wage gap, and more.
Join former TV Fanatic Meaghan Frey, Grey's Fanatic Joshua Johnson, and Jasmine Blu as they discuss it all.
Were you Team Link or Team Owen regarding taking risks for Sam's surgery?
Joshua: I was Team Link the entire time. Owen brought Link on as a consultant; if he disagreed with Link's surgical plan, he could have gotten a different ortho surgeon.
Whether or not Link was playing it safe because of Tank's death or because it was the smart thing to do, it was his decision to make, not Owen's.

While Simone and Lucas' hot potential romance got thwarted with Trey's arrival on Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 9, other possible romances are starting to blossom.

On a scale of 1-10, how tired are you of Teddy and Owen's bicker fest? Do you find their constant arguing amusing?
Meaghan: 100. Something has to give on this storyline. They either need to agree to move on and stop fighting or walk away from each other because what they're doing right now isn't healthy for either of them.
Joshua: The limit does not exist. I don't care about either of them anymore. Teddy is already complaining about a job she campaigned for, and Owen...

Happiness eludes way too many characters on this series right now.
It felt like everyone was fighting, and there were few treasured moments during Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 9. Teddy and Owen bickered endlessly, Bailey and Ben nearly followed suit, Maggie realized that her marriage might be doomed, and Simone broke Lucas' heart.
But on the plus side, Helm and Mika are definitely hitting it off nicely and on their way to becoming the next endearing ship, while Levi finally got laid by a hot traveling nurse!
They teased a fun installment meant to have a nostalgic feel to the early days of the series when M.A.G.I.C. would have house parties.
While there was a house party, much of its excitement was underwhelming, and the drama was too repetitive and frustrating.

Did the writers forget that this was supposed to be the farewell episode for Meredith Grey?
Were the people who cut together the promo and the writing team who wrote Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 7 on totally different pages, or, I don't know, planets?
For an hour teased as a farewell to Meredith, there was very little Mer and even less farewell.
It was nothing remotely special about the hour at all. As far as official farewells go, it was the dullest of the bunch.
We know that Pompeo is stepping back from a series regular role and that she won't be disappearing from the show altogether. Meredith Grey's story is a semicolon rather than a period, and that's fine, but we should've had ... more.

As night falls, a castle needs to be protected from a massive army who have risen from the abyss to claim what they think is rightfully theirs. Archers stand by near the castle walls as the undead army marches toward the fortress in formation, while a reluctant hero rallies the men to fight against impossible odds. No, this is not the battle of Helm's Deep in Peter Jackson's "The Two Towers" — this sequence is the climactic battle between the skeletons and Arthur's men with Ash at the forefront in Sam Raimi's "Army of Darkness." The similarities between Raimi's audacious final installment in the "Evil Dead" trilogy and Jackson's near-perfect "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy are few far and between in terms of tone, intent, and cinematic ambition. However, in the event of the 30th anniversary of "Army of Darkness" this week, I would like to...

Abu Dhabi, Nov 26 (Ians) Eoin Morgan and Azam Khan steered New York Strikers to a thrilling eight-wicket win over Deccan Gladiators in the first match on the fourth day of the Abu Dhabi T10 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, here on Saturday.
Riding on Odean Smith’s 38 and Suresh Raina’s 28 runs, Deccan Gladiators posted 109/7 in 10 overs. In reply, Morgan (42 not out off 23) and Khan (26 not out off 20) put on an unbeaten 68 runs for the third wicket and carried their team from 42/2 in 3.3 overs to the win in the last ball of the innings withstanding some tight bowling from the Deccan Gladiators.
The well-fought contest began with Deccan Gladiators winning the toss and electing to bat. They lost their opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore to the third ball of the first over from Akeal Hosein for a duck, caught by Izharulhaq Naveed at short third man. Jason Roy hit the last ball...

Despite everything "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" has going for it — a talented ensemble led by Morfyyd Clark's fearsome (but refreshingly flawed!) Galadriel, an exorbitant budget that puts actual blockbuster movies to shame, and license to play around in one of the most fully fleshed-out fantasy worlds ever created — one major aspect has held the new series back somewhat from greatness. As opposed to "The Fellowship of the Ring," which began by focusing on a small group of heroes in one location before steadily spiraling outwards, the first season of "The Rings of Power" has been structured to juggle multiple different storylines with dozens of major characters, all scattered across several different (and far-flung) settings.

Is reinvention overrated?
