- Had a dog named Joe, who passed away in 2012.
- He and Mark St. John are the only members of KISS to never have worn face paint in the band.
- Replaced Mark St. John as KISS' lead guitarist in late 1984; he stayed with the band until 1996. Prior to KISS, Kulick played in the bands Blackjack and The Good Rats in the 1970s, and in the 1990s played in the bands ESP and Union.
- Brother of fellow guitarist Bob Kulick.
- KISS was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 7080 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.
- Has released two solo albums, 2002's "Audio Dog" and 2003's "Transformer", and is currently playing guitar in a reformed version of 70s band "Grand Funk Railroad". (December 2004)
- Played lead guitar on the tracks "Lonely Is the Hunter" and "Murder in High-Heels" on KISS' 1984 album "Animalize", though at the time Mark St. John was the band's guitarist.
