Pop music’s resident lover boys Niall Horan and Shawn Mendes charmed London on Friday night with a surprise performance of “Treat You Better.” Horan welcomed Mendes to the stage halfway through the latest stop on The Show: Live on Tour, sliding the appearance in between the tender ballads “Flicker” and “This Town.”
Both singers played guitar as they led the arena in a singalong of Mendes’ hit single from 2016’s Illuminate. “That’s my boy!” Horan exclaimed as his guest exited the stage. The appearances marks Mendes’ first live performance in almost a year.

Welcome to another look back at the biggest hits of 2023. Today, we’ll look through the documentaries and docu-series that picked up the most points in the Netflix top 10s throughout the year.
This list is compiled with data from FlixPatrol, which tracks the daily top 10s in over 90 countries globally. Their data provides a daily snapshot of what’s trending in the TV and movie list by providing points to each title that features. Although we love their data, it’s neither perfect nor an exact measurement of viewership. Netflix does provide its own data on this front, but it doesn’t allow us to paint a big picture of what was watched most in 2023 as it stands.
Because documentaries feature in the movie lists and docu-series feature in the TV list, we’ll split them separately. We’ll have a look at the documentaries and docu-series to do best globally first,...

The past 18 months have produced an abundance of celebrity documentaries, but Netflix’s newly released “Robbie Williams” sets out to do something different. Charting Williams’ rise from clueless teenager in British mega-boy band Take That to solo superstar, there’s no talking heads and no glossing over the less salubrious moments in Williams’ 35-year-career, including his relationships, drug-taking and depression.
Director Joe Pearlman, the filmmaker behind last year’s “Harry Potter” reunion and Netflix’s recent Lewis Capaldi documentary, set out to make a series about Williams confronting his extraordinary life head-on. Eschewing traditional documentary formats, the four-part show sees Williams interviewed, mostly in bed, while watching archive footage stretching back three decades.
“We did an initial interview and Rob gave a brilliant interview but it was an interview I’d heard before,” Pearlman says. “We were like, there’s so much more here. We’ve seen the footage, we...

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas know how to do a mommy-daddy day out right. On July 15, the married couple headed to Wimbledon to watch the women's final between Czech Republic's Markéta Vondrouŝová and Tunisia's Ons Jabeur. While Chopra and Jonas spent plenty of time cheering on the players, they also took some time out at the event to cozy up together as they whispered in each other's ears, and Chopra leaned on her husband's shoulder.
The sweet displays of affection were intermixed with scenes of Chopra enthusiastically cheering in the stands. As for Jonas, the pop star looked serious throughout most of the game as he watched the players from behind his sunglasses. He did crack a smile when he leaned over to tell Chopra something, but for the most part, he seemed to be focused on the match.
Now that they're parents to 1-year-old Malti Jonas, Chopra and Jonas...

He did crack a smile when he leaned over to tell Chopra something, but for the most part, he seemed to be focused on the match.

Just weeks after Lewis Capaldi announced that he would be taking a break from performing live while he “adjust[ed] to the impact of [his] Tourette’s” diagnosis “for the foreseeable future,” the future became a lot more seeable — at least for a couple of seconds. The singer made a surprise appearance at the Vamps’ London concert to cheer on his friends and sing a couple of notes on Wednesday.

Lewis Capaldi made more than one dig at fellow musicians who’ve also been interviewed on the popular YouTube series “Hot Ones” while recently appearing on the show himself.
As the Scottish singer-songwriter took on the wings of death, he called out DJ Khaled’s infamous 2015 appearance, in which the rapper tapped out of the hot sauce challenge after three wings, but was allowed to sit and finish the interview.
“You should’ve kicked DJ Khaled the f**k out of here,” Capaldi told host Sean Evans of the unfair move.
“And you should’ve said, ‘Listen, you,'” he added before Evans continued the sentence: “If you don’t finish your food…”
“F**k off!” Capaldi concluded.

We love a famous friendship, and there are few as adorable as the bond between Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi. The duo are both incredibly talented musicians who've supported each other's careers for years. Most recently, Horan has spoken out in support of his friend after Capaldi announced he was taking a break from performing live following a difficult Glastonbury set.
"I speak to Lewis most days to be honest with you. So I'm really happy for Lewis that he's able to take the time that he obviously feels he needs right now," Horan told The Sun on June 27. "But performing never gets easy. I don't think you ever truly get used to singing in front of 100,000 people. If you have any sort of performance anxieties or anything like that then that stage can be a tough place."

Singer Lewis Capaldi has made a “most difficult decision” to cancel all his remaining tour dates to focus on adjusting himself after being diagnosed with Tourette’s.
The tour cancellation comes after his Glastonbury concert on June 24, where his voice broke in the middle of singing “Someone You Loved.” Concertgoers quickly came to his aide and sang his hit song with him. The Saturday event was also his first time returning from his three-week break to focus on his mental and physical health.
On Tuesday, Capaldi posted a message for his fans.
He wrote that he had hoped the three weeks away would help him but “the truth is [he] is still learning to adjust to the impact of [his] Tourette’s.” He also referred to the Glastonbury concert as an “obvious” sign that he needed more time to focus on getting his “mental and physical health in order.”

He made the emotional statement via a post on Instagram on June 27, having previously given himself a three-week break leading up to his performance at Glastonbury. Elton John is going out with a bang.
The musician played his last U.K. gig at Glastonbury Festival on Sunday night, with the show being watched on BBC One by the biggest ever overnight audience for a Glasto performance, the broadcaster confirmed.
According to Variety, the 76-year-old had a peak overnight audience of 7.6 million and an average of 7.3 million with a 48.9 percent share.
That wasn’t the only BBC viewing record broken over the weekend, with a whopping 21.6 million people — 7 percent more than last year across linear TV — watching artists perform to 200,000 festival-goers having the time of their lives on Worthy Farm.
A record amount of people tuned in to watch the Artic Monkeys’ headlining set on Friday night, with the band nabbing a peak audience of 2.6 million and an average of 1.5 million.

Elton John raised the roof at Glastonbury last night in what could be the Rocketman singer’s last ever performance, and he was watched by more than 7M viewers on the BBC. The figure was almost triple that of Paul McCartney’s headline slot in 2022.
The legendary British singer’s three-hour performance drew a near-50% audience share and becomes one of the most-watched TV shows of the year so far, according to Barb data from overnights.tv, just behind Happy Valley. His performance was by miles the most-watched Glastonbury set across the weekend on the BBC, which shows wall-to-wall coverage of the Worthy Farm fest.
At the festival, early estimates had the performance as one of the most-watched of all time, possibly eclipsing Dolly Parton in 2014 at well over 100,000.

Royal Blood Responds After Flipping Off ‘Pathetic’ Festival Crowd: ‘I Felt I Was Being Entertaining’
Royal Blood was a last-minute addition to BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend music festival, and the rock duo made quite the impression on the crowd.
Royal Blood — consisting of Mike Kerr on vocals and bass, and Ben Thatcher on drums — were added as an 11th-hour replacement for the festival, which was dominated by such pop acts as Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan.
Given that Royal Blood’s hard-driving rock is as far from pop as it gets, Kerr offered a cheeky intro when they took to the stage.
“I guess I should actually introduce ourselves seeing as no one actually knows who we are. We’re called Royal Blood and this is rock music,” Kerr told the crowd, receiving a tepid response.

Royal Blood had what amounted to an on-stage meltdown during their performance at BBC Radio One’s Big Weekend in Dundee, Scotland on Sunday.
The duo apparently became perturbed after receiving a less than enthusiastic reaction from the crowd, leading Mike Kerr frontman to ask, “Who likes rock music?” After receiving some cheers, he responded, “Nine people. Brilliant.”
Later in the set, Kerr commented, “We’re having to clap ourselves because that was so pathetic.” He then turned directly to the the camera and seemingly mocked the crowd: “Will you clap for us? Will you clap? You’re busy. Can you clap? Yes, even he’s clapping. What does that say about you?”
Once Royal Blood’s seven-song set came to a close, Kerr stuck a pair of middle fingers into the air as he walked off of the stage. Below, you can find a video compilation of Kerr’s on-stage antics.
