After dipping into the world of H.P. Lovecraft in Re-Animator (listen) and checking out an early adaptation of The Portrait of Dorian Gray (listen), somehow we’re already on our third episode of February. And while the holiday doesn’t line up, we couldn’t pass up a chance to revisit Friday the 13th (2009) for its fifteenth anniversary.
In the Marcus Nispel remake, a group of friends travel to the palatial country house of Trent (Travis Van Winkle) near what was once Camp Crystal Lake. As Trent’s girlfriend Jenna (Danielle Panabaker) bonds with Clay (Jared Padalecki) over the disappearance of his sister Whitney (Amanda Righetti), their friends Chewie (Aaron Yoo), Bree (Julianna Guill), Lawrence (Arlen Escarpeta), Nolan (Ryan Hansen) and Chelsea (Willa Ford) are being picked off one by one by Jason Voorhees (Derek Mears).

Last Friday, which happened to be a Friday the 13th, screenwriters Damian Shannon and Mark Swift shared some pages from the script they wrote for the unmade sequel to the 2009 version of Friday the 13th (watch it Here). In those pages, we got to read the description of a scene where a character would have been killed by iconic masked slasher Jason Voorhees while riding down a zip line. But those weren’t the only pages Shannon and Swift shared from the script last Friday. They also unveiled a couple pages that reveal what happened to Jason’s dad – and you can read them in this embed:

Damian Shannon and Mark Swift were the writers who cracked the Freddy vs. Jason story and pulled that project out of development hell, where it had been trapped for a decade. Six years later, when Warner Bros. teamed up with Paramount and Platinum Dunes for a Friday the 13th reboot, Shannon and Swift were again the writers. (You can hear all about that Friday the 13th in our latest Wtf Happened video.) Since the reboot made over $91 million at the global box office on a budget of $19 million when it was released in February of 2009, it was no surprise when it was announced that it was going to receive a sequel, to be shot in 3-D and released on August 13, 2010. Then the studios couldn’t agree on the money split, so the sequel was shelved… but not before Shannon and Swift had already written the full script. Today, to celebrate Friday the 13th,...

Three all new celebrities in disguise took took the stage for “80s Night” on Wednesday’s “The Masked Singer.” After a performance of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper, Scorpio advanced to the Battle Royale where she got her stinger snipped by Doll. The venemous performer pulled off her mask to reveal “Selling Sunset” star Christine Quinn. Panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger were all stumped by the reality TV star.
“I was like, if I’m gonna do it I’m goin’ out with a bang!” Christine told host Nick Cannon during her unmasked interview. “I’ve always loved the show and girls just want to have fun! I call myself a closet singer. So the fact that I’m here singing in front of people just goes to show that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and practice.

Real estate is a risky business. But does that necessarily mean Scott Disick should quit while he's ahead? The home renovation expert and his team aren't seeing eye-to-eye in this exclusive clip from Sunday's new Flip It Like Disick, which opens in the aftermath of last week's $220,000 drainage nightmare at the group's Jed Smith property. Scott has taken a few days to "cool down" since news of the surprise expense was first brought to his attention, and at the start of the new clip, it appears he's decided to take a step back from the project altogether. "I want to get rid of Jed Smith as is," he tells Willa Ford, Miki Mor and Benny Luciano during a meeting. And despite the...

What Penelope Disick wants, Penelope Disick gets. On Sunday's all-new Flip It Like Disick, Scott Disick enlisted the help of interior designer Willa Ford for a project for his daughter. According to the E! personality, his middle child with Kourtney Kardashian felt her room paled in comparison to older brother Mason Disick's bedroom. Thus, Disick decided it was time to give the bedroom a much needed upgrade. "Obviously, the most special girl in the world to me is my little daughter Penelope," the father of three explained in a confessional. "And because she goes back-and-forth to her mom Kourtney's house, because we co-parent, I want Penelope to be as comfortable at my house as she is...

The Flip It Like Disick team has a $220,000 problem on their hands. In this exclusive clip from Sunday's all-new episode, Willa Ford meets with Benny Luciano and Miki Mor to discuss the latest problem at the Jed Smith house. As Luciano explains to the resident interior designer, a drainage issue has affected the land's elevation and requires nearly a quarter of a million dollars to fix. "So, listen. Basically, we got a $200,000 problem," the Calabasas Luxury Motorcars owner explains. "So, the drainage problem, all this mess here. It rained, so it sank. The elevation is different." Thus, Luciano tasks Willa with finding a way to cut her interior design budget to help save money....

Is Penelope Disick a budding interior designer? Well, according to Flip It Like Disick's resident interior designer Willa Ford, the seven-year-old Disick child certainly has an eye for the finer things. On Sunday's all-new episode of Flip It Like Disick, fans will witness Ford assisting in the redesign of Scott Disick's daughter's room. And, from what we hear, Kourtney Kardashian's middle child made some pretty impressive demands. Specifically, North West's cousin name checked a monopoint light fixture in her consultation with Willa. "I have interviewed a lot of my clients' kids for their rooms and I have never had a kid tell me that they wanted monopoints on their...

"What better place than this for me to haggle?" Scott asks, noting "that's what [he's] best at." Plus, he's seen Willa and Meeshie try their hands at negotiation before. "Trust me, they could use a little bit of my help," he tells the camera. Right on cue, Meeshie stumbles upon an over-sized woven...

The Flip It Like Disick team is in crisis mode. In this clip from Sunday's all-new Flip It Like Disick, Scott Disick and Benny Luciano give Willa Ford the troubling updates regarding the Jed Smith house. For starters, the longtime friends inform their resident interior designer that they've been shut down by the Hoa. Why? For demoing the basketball court without a permit. "The permit that we got cleared us to demo and stuff, but not outside," Luciano attempts to explain to Ford over dinner. "Kind of a big deal," Lord Disick adds. Per the duo, a neighbor likely called the Hoa over the noise from the jackhammer. "Who needs Hoa permission for demoing?" Benny...

Luxury home renovation is what Scott Disick does for a living, but the real estate professional still makes time for personal projects—especially when he's feeling inspired. "Let's take a look at this pool," he told interior designer Willa Ford during Sunday's new Flip It Like Disick, before stepping down into a sprawling rectangular cavity situated along the edge of an elevated home terrace in Beverly Hills. Willa Ford has an interesting explanation for why her career struggled after her hit 2001 song, "I Wanna Be Bad."
Fans may remember the now 36-year-old singer when she was grouped in the pop category among her contemporaries at the time -- Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore -- though she failed to produce any more hits after her sultry debut. Ford opens up about her short-lived singing career in a new interview with Billboard and says that the release of her second single on 9/11 was the kiss of death for her.
"A lot of people don't realize this, but my second single was released on September 11, 2001," Ford says. "Everything that happened that day froze; the world stood still, as it should have. My second single didn't do well because anything that launched that day kind of got canned."

Horror movies that trap a character or group of characters in one confined location can be quite effective in the right hands, and two of the best recent examples are Adam Green’s Frozen and Rodrigo Cortes’ Buried. It’s quite impressive to see what a filmmaker can do with such a limited set of resources, and both Green and Cortes pulled incredible amounts of suspense out of premises that seemed destined to sink. As for Steven C. Miller’s attempt to do the same, well, it just kind of sinks.
Written by Scott Milam and directed by Miller (Silent Night), Submerged centres on a group of young characters who are quite literally trapped in a limousine at the bottom of a canal.

There's no love lost between Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Dancing with the Stars.
The former DWTS pro returned as a guest judge on Monday's episode, but he has no intention of returning in a more permanent basis, saying he was heavily censored when he worked on the series.
"It's a permanent thing. I'm not coming back," he said on Tuesday's Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss podcast.
When the hosts noted that Chmerkovskiy's brother Val Chmerkovskiy was still a pro on the show, he responded that's "his problem."

Action thrillers are a dime a dozen in Hollywood, so when one of them shoots a little higher than usual, we tend to notice here at We Got This Covered. That’s why we’re pleased to be able to exclusively debut new stills and artwork from the indie high-concept thriller Checkmate, which looks at the same heist from six different perspectives.
Starring Danny Glover, Sean Astin, Vinnie Jones, Mischa Barton, Michael Pare, Johnny Messner, Katrina Law, Willa Ford, Antwon Tanner and David Chisum, Checkmate “chronicles how the actions of individuals affect us all, as six people are thrown together during an elaborate bank heist where any move can alter the outcome,” according to the film’s official press release. It was directed by Timothy Woodward Jr. and written by Henry Mitchell, Calvin Cox and Jennifer Lynch.
No trailer yet, but the film is currently is post-production and slated for...

I sold my soul to Awolnation roughly two years ago once I saw Aaron Bruno’s music video for ”Burn It Down”. The video, which featured Sam Ronson and Willa Ford, epitomizes why VH1’s “Top 20 Countdown” and the slim amount of music videos shown on MTV should not become an extinct fad of the 80s and 90s. Developing imagery is key to popularizing a song and Awolnation has a knack for conveying just that. The outfit’s latest song,”Thiskidsnotalright” will be featured in the new video game, “Injustice: Gods Among Us”, which will be available everywhere April 16th. The video game’s soundtrack will be released digitally on the same day as [ Read More ]

Our favorite team returned tonight, taking on the mega-store to try and save the mom-and-pop businesses in "The Low Low Price Job."
You had to love Brigid Brannagh as the tough as nails executive who only wants to climb the company ladder. She did a great job of holding her own against Nate and the squad for a couple of rounds, but in the end we knew that Nate would figure out a way to beat her, didn't we?
Of course, Nate just did what he does best: he let her beat herself, really. Given how clever and quick she was, I wondered if Nate was going to try and recruit her to Team Leverage. It certainly seems that if she could be shown how to use her powers for good instead of evil, she would be a powerful ally.
Even when he wasn't sure if they could beat the company,...

Only one woman in history has inspired a production at London’s Royal Opera House, a truly awful direct-to-dvd biopic, and an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent: pioneering train wreck Anna Nicole Smith.
Even five years after her death, something about Smith still fascinates a certain subset of the public. Perhaps it’s because her rags-to-riches-to-overdose story seems simple, but boasts plenty of weird wrinkles: Smith was obsessed with Marilyn Monroe before it became trendy. Her relationship with billionaire J. Howard Marshall led to a case that eventually reached the Supreme Court. She was one of the first...

This year has been a good one for Adam Baldwin, who wrapped the final season of Chuck and had a delightful reunion with fellow Joss Whedon favorite Nathan Fillion on Castle, and his good fortune hasn’t stopped yet. Baldwin has been tapped for a role in the upcoming fifth season of Leverage, which will feature another reunion, this time with fellow recurring Angel character and Leverage co-star Christian Kane. I can only imagine how much more enjoyable Baldwin’s job becomes when he gets these chances to work with actors from his past. I’m thinking his next Whendonverse reunion should be with Christina Hendricks on Mad Men.

Singer and actress Willa Ford – seen in the above still brandishing a Molotov cocktail – has been making a reputation for herself by playing an escort on Starz’ Magic City and is continuing that ride by snagging a sweet guest starring role on TNT’s Leverage. Unfortunately, the role won’t be quite as colorful as a Molotov cocktail wielding person or a paid escort. Ford’s character on Leverage will be a mild mannered shop owner, doing what she can to keep her business alive and pay her bills. And since TNT is way more strict about its content when compared to Starz, Ford will have to remain fully clothed, despite being more comfortable with undressing for the camera.

Rob Kardashian has a dream. He doesn’t just want to make socks. He wants to change the way we think about socks. In last night’s episode of Kooling Off With the Kardashians, Rob returned to Los Angeles after a month of scouting out manufacturers in England, which as we all know is the home of many of the world’s great sock factories. Now, this is just a hypothesis based on extensive research, but I assume that Rob™ Brand Socks all come in different shades of neon. They’re emblazoned with conflict diamonds and Yukon gold dust and...
