People can exclusively reveal that Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is joining the cast of Chicago on Broadway for an eight-week run beginning this January.
The hit musical, which recently celebrated its 21st anniversary on the Great White Way, will welcome Grammy award-winning Burruss, 41, as she makes her Broadway debut from Jan. 15 to March 11 at the Ambassador Theater. The Xscape inger will play Matron “Mama” Morton.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time dominated the UK's most prestigious theatre awards on Sunday night, equalling the record by picking up seven Oliviers, including best actor for its star, Luke Treadaway. The 28-year-old, who gives an astonishing performance as 15-year-old maths genius Christopher Boone, beat off heavyweight competition in the shape of Rupert Everett, James McAvoy, Mark Rylance and Rafe Spall to pick up the prize at the Royal Opera House ceremony.
The awards, now in their 37th year, also saw Helen Mirren win her first Olivier, for her performance as the Queen in The Audience. The musical honours were shared by Top Hat and Sweeney Todd, which won three apiece.

LONDON -- Hit musicals Mary Poppins, The Producers and The Woman in White top the nominations for the 29th Olivier Awards, announced Thursday. All three are nominated for best new musical, while Mary Poppins leads Laura Michelle Kelly and Gavin Lee are named in the best musical actress and actor categories, respectively, and Richard Eyre is up for best director. The Producers drew nods for Nathan Lane and Lee Evans in the best actor in a musical category, along with Leigh Zimmerman for best actress in a musical and Susan Stroman for best director and choreographer.
