After screening the film (real venue and online) at Ssffa 2024, the film will be also used for tourism promotion of Tokyo and other occasions. Through this project, Tmg and Ssffa will give opportunities to award-winning filmmakers of the past Ssffa editions by letting them write and direct the short film, in order to promote and appeal the attraction of Tokyo both in Japan and abroad.

As someone who adores both Evan and Joaquin, a girl is hot & bothered and conflicted!
The absolute highlight of Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 19 was the movement regarding this love triangle. We're still unsure where it's supposed to land, and with no time left for this series, these complications are more nerve-wracking than ever.
Outside of that, the Silas saga still rages on, Gael finally makes a move against Yuri, and Davia gets screwed over.
We only have one installment left, and I have no idea what we're supposed to expect from the coterie gang moving forward.
Can we get closure? How much can we get by adding some scenes to an installment already in the works with a designated plan?
So much of the season has been treading through water, biding time until what? No one knows, and then we got the colossal blow that it was the final season.

This is the story of Yuri and Anton’s bitter rivalry — even at odds over the same woman. Who will prevail when father and son go to war?
Specifics as to Harrier’s part are under wraps.

Fleeting moments rushing into the unforgivable vortex of time, all of which would be lost forever if not for the presence of a camera, comprise Haley Elizabeth Anderson’s “Tendaberry,” a ravishingly lyrical portrait of both a single young life and a centuries-old locale converging in the present. These timelines collapse in Anderson’s debut feature, which flies with a formally unbound spirit, as fragments of lifetimes buried in photos and videos come together by way of idea association rather than strictly linear parameters. The one clear marker of a forward chronology are the title cards that announce the changing seasons.

A soulful coming-of-age story with far more on its mind than the here and now, Haley Elizabeth Anderson’s Tendaberry is an ambitious directorial debut mixing various storytelling forms to achieve its poetic patchwork of ideas. Combining recollections of the past, a present way of life, and hopes for the future through the eyes of 23-year-old Dakota (Kota Johan), it follows her journey juggling romance, work, friendship, and family. The nature of its scattershot hybrid approach––incorporating narrative, documentary, and archival materials––results in certain passages feeling a bit stretched, but the cumulative effect is one of an impressive new voice.
Hopping around Brooklyn with a strong focus on the Coney Island area, Tendaberry doubles as a portrait of the city, one that marvels at its bustling joys as much as it exudes frustrations with the rough-and-tumble nature. Beyond just a shared fascination with the locales, the film evokes an...

One of the stand-out directorial debuts of the Sundance Film Festival this year is Haley Elizabeth Anderson’s Tendaberry, which premiered yesterday as part of the Next section. The film takes a poetic, hybrid look at life in Brooklyn through the eyes of Dakota (Kota Johan), a 23-year-old juggling romance, work, friendship, and family. We’re pleased to exclusively debut the first clip from the film, featuring an early scene between Dakota and her boyfriend (Yuri Pleskun) before he heads to Ukraine.
Here’s the synopsis: “When her boyfriend Yuri goes back to Ukraine to be with his ailing father, twenty-three year-old Dakota navigates her precarious new life, surviving on her own in New York City. When Yuri goes missing, Dakota discovers that she is pregnant and must make a decision between holding on to the past and forging her own future in the midst of her South Brooklyn universe,...

But now that the writers strike – and the actors strike that followed it – has come to an end, series creators The Duffer Brothers are preparing to head into production on Stranger Things season 5 at the start of January. But as they get ready to start filming, they took a moment to talk to The Guardian… and while the conversation was primarily about the stage play Stranger Things: The First Shadow, they also mentioned that the new season of the show will be like “season 1 on steroids” and the biggest the show has ever been.

One of my moments of dread is the threat of random violence. The moment in the original Terminator when the machine shows up at people’s homes, knocks on their door and asks if they are Sarah Connor then promptly shoots them when they answer yes is still chilling. Drawing inspiration for me from the classically brutal Martyrs (2008) and the odd cheapy eye transplant film Mansion Of The Doomed (1976) is this lovely gripping Italian horror thriller The Goldsmith (aka L’orafo) (2022)
The film opens on a chase scene in broad daylight over urban dirt fields, three children who turn out to be younger versions of the people in the film are fleeing from an older man. Arianna (Valentina Carbone), Stefano (Matthias Cavallo) and Roberto (Federico Graziani). During the chase, the girl drops a gold cross. The old man catches up to them and reaches down for the cross. The male children charge to stop him.

General Hospital’s Lois Cerullo, played by Rena Sofer, wants to help her mom Gloria, played by Ellen Travolta, out of the jam she’s gotten herself into with the Russian mob. Danger is nothing to laugh about, but Sofer and Travolta have been all smiles since Gloria popped back up in Port Charles just in time for Thanksgiving. TV Insider chatted with Sofer and Travolta about the latter’s return to Gh, a few of their co-stars, and why soaps are underrated especially in today’s society, which Sofer feels is suffering from “an epidemic of loneliness.” You two picked up your on-screen dynamic as mother/daughter like no time had passed. You must have surely heard about vampires, but have you got any idea what a ‘Dampyr’ is? I certainly had no clue that characters like Blade belonged to the Dampyr category. Riccardo Chemello, the director of the 2022 film Dampyr has tried to bring the legendary creature into popular culture with vigor, and his effort doesn’t entirely miss the mark. The film is a story about Harlan Draka, who doesn’t know that his birth is the result of the union between a vampire and a human. In the Balkans, war is raging, and when the army is attacked by a bunch of vampires, Commander Kurjack brings in Harlan to see if he is a dampyr, a vampire hunter.
Spoilers Ahead
Plot Synopsis: What Happens In The Film?
Many moons ago, a woman gave birth to Harlan after she had been impregnated by a ‘Master of the Night’ named Draka.

For Nadji Jeter, stepping back into the role of Miles Morales for Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 was a chance to learn some new skills — outside the realm of webswinging. Among them was studying American Sign Language, which Miles uses to communicate with street artist Hailey Cooper in the game, which has been praised for its deaf representation.
“We had great teachers on set. I’ve always embraced it, because I feel like we’re touching a lot of communities,” Jeter tells The Hollywood Reporter. “A lot of people out there that can sometimes feel like they get excluded. But in Spider Man 2, everyone is connected with this game.”
In Spider-Man 2, Jeter also formed a relationship with genre legend Tony Todd, who plays Venom in the game.
“That’s my uncle, man! Uncle Tony,” says Jeter. “The day when he was on the motion capture set, it was like the President was there.

Last week, Stranger Things cast member David Harbour said he expected to start filming season 5 of the hit Netflix series – which will also be the final season of the show – in “a couple days”. But first he had to make an appearance at Motor City Comic Con, and during the show he confirmed that season 5 has “a very real ending” that wraps up the story.

Although considered by many academics as one of the best Japanese films of the 80s, and having won a number of awards in Japan, including the Grand Prix from the Young Cinema Grand Prize at the 1985 Tokyo Film Festival and Best Director from Three Continents in Nantes, “Typhoon Club” remains a relatively unknown film in the West.
Typhoon Club is screening at San Diego Asian Film Festival
The story revolves around a number of students attending a school at a suburb in Tokyo, and takes place on a five days span, mostly before and after a typhoon hits the place.
