All the Places (A Todas Partes) is a mexican movie directed by Pedro Pablo Ibarra starring Ana Serradilla and Mauricio Ochmann.
This tender story of a reunion between two siblings comes from Mexico with lots of sentiment and nostalgia and a big desire to make us have a good time in something between comedy and drama.
This is a story that works almost always and this time too.
A remake of 25 km/h.
This is a movie that treads a beaten path, does so well and this play to make us fall in love “invertedly” works. Not long ago we commented Raymond & Ray, another film that took a gamble on a reunion between siblings at the funeral of their father: same plot, but different result in the screenplay.
Here we go from drama to comedy, the same plots and the axis of a good dramatic comedy, with feelings and...

In its continued bid to create more premium content for the Latin American market under its Onza Americas banner, Madrid-based Onza Entertainment – behind such hit series as “The Department of Time” and a collaborator on Dopamine’s historical drama “Hernan” – is developing political drama series “Sattva.”
Created by Spanish actor Ruben Sanz (“El Dragon”) and written by Int’l Emmy-nominated Luis Gamboa (“Promesas de Campaña”), the series is conceived as a transatlantic production between Mexico and Spain.
Onza is presenting “Saatva” at Iberseries & Platino Industria’s new Co-Production & Financing Forum on Sept. 28.
The abundance of streaming platforms – and their insatiable demand for content – that allowed shows to circulate across more territories has encouraged more content production, said Valentina Pozzoli, Onza’s director of development & international co-productions. The success of such Spanish-language series as “Money Heist,” (“Casa de Papel”) “Dark Desire” (“Oscuro Deseo”) and “Elite” has also been a motivating factor.

Mauricio Ochmann, one of the biggest stars in the Latino world, has signed a multiyear first look deal with Pantaya, the leading premium Spanish-language streaming service.
Under the terms of the deal, actor-producer Ochmann will develop and executive produce a slate of original films and TV series for the company. Films developed as part of the deal will be produced in tandem with Pantelion Films, Pantaya’s partner company.
Announced Monday by Paul Presburger, CEO of Pantaya and Pantelion, the deal allies the two companies with the star of Telemundo Super Series “El Chema,” a spin off from “El Señor de los Cielos” – in which Ochmann also had a main character role. Aired over 2016-17, “El Chema” ranked as the No. 1 broadcast program at 10 pm in the U.S. regardless of language, among 18-34s.
The Pantaya-Pantelion deal builds on an already highly successful relationship between Ochmann and the two companies.

Mexico’s Mauricio Ochmann is re-teaming with director Pitipol Ybarra for the Mexican remake of the 2018 German hit “25 Km/H” from Sony Pictures Intl. Prods. (Spip).

Beyond the bombshell Paradigm chief Sam Gores teleconference to temporarily lay off over 100 staffers, a Wme Partners conference call Friday has put the members of that select group in a state of shock.
Essentially, those agents were told of an indefinite postponement of a windfall they expected to occur on April 5. Basically, the partners were set to be given the option to cash out 20% of their equity, calculated on a $3.6 billion valuation of the company. That will be pushed down the road indefinitely and the partners were also told it is likely they will be asked to volunteer to take pay cuts, until business rebounds.

Morelia, Mexico — In Morelia for multiple reasons, outgoing Imcine director general Jorge Sanchez sat with Variety in an exclusive interview to take stock of his tenure, which ends Nov. 30.
Since he joined Mexico’s national film institute on Jan. 14, 2013, Sanchez has presided over a sea-change in Mexico’s entertainment industry. New public and private initiatives have brought a surge in production, for one. “We’ve seen 182 feature-length productions this year; the number of shorts made are innumerable,” said Sanchez, also noting that total admissions have nearly doubled from 75 million in the previous administration to 148 million during his six-year tenure.
Up to Oct. 19, 80 local films bowed in cinemas nationwide, 13 more than the same period last year, he added. In contrast to some countries in Latin America, Mexican moviegoers are coming in droves to support their homegrown films. Local cinema currently has a 10% share of 260 million admissions to date, Sanchez said. This...

“Crazy Rich Asians” is doing crazy well.
The Constance Wu-starrer is likely to threepeat as the box office topper over the Labor Day weekend, with $30 million for the four-day period. It’s projected to bring in $23 million Friday through Sunday.
The Warner Bros. rom-com will join “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” “Black Panther,” and “Avengers: Infinity War” as the fourth film of 2018 to top the box office three weekends in a row. It’s earned $101 million worldwide in its first 17 days.
Jason Statham’s “The Meg” is still swimming laps around the competition with a projected $12 million for the holiday weekend. The shark thriller from Warner Bros. has so far earned $112 million domestically and an additional $306 million from overseas markets.
Landing in the third place slot should be “Mission: Impossible – Fallout,” adding another $8 million to its tally. Tom Cruise’s latest has amassed $198 million from North America, plus $355 million internationally.

Bittersweet drama Ya Veremos (We’ll See) has posted the second-biggest opening weekend ever for a Mexican film in its home market, beating out Mission: Impossible — Fallout (in its second week), Christopher Robin and other studio fare in the process.
The film’s top-spot $3.9M ($73M Mexican Pesos) weekend haul was second in the all-time rankings behind 2013 box office sensation Instructions Not Included, the most successful Spanish-language film ever at the global box office, which raked in $45M stateside for Lionsgate’s Pantelion and $100M worldwide. Pantelion also has Ya Veremos stateside so will be hoping for a strong number over the Labor Day weekend.
The film’s four-day opening in Mexico saw it hit 2,380 screens and pull in 1.4M admissions.
Directed by Pitipol Ybarra (Pulling Strings) and starring Mauricio Ochmann, Fernanda Castillo, Erik Hayser and Emiliano Aramayo, the tear-jerker tells the story of a child who is dealing with...

"Pulling Strings" takes a bit of a hit by being the third Latin single-dad comedy to roll into American theaters in a month. And though it is funnier and out-charms "Tio Papi," it lacks the whimsy, magical realism and kid-friendly sentiment of the sleeper hit "Instructions Not Included."
But this tale of a mariachi singer denied a visa, who then tries to trick and charm the American embassy staffer who turned him down, is a winning vehicle for singer / actor Jaime Camil.
Alejandro (Camil) is raising his 9-year-old daughter alone, and fears what the Catholic school nuns are telling him is true -- that he's botching the job. She needs to go spend time with her grandparents. In Arizona.
