Tim Yasui was born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and studied classical piano, classical violin, percussion and sang in the Methodist Church Choir from Elementary School thru early Junior High School. By High School Tim focused mainly on drums, performing in the High School marching band, Concert band while performing with Rock bands in night clubs around Pennsylvania with musicians twice his age. After high school, Tim earned a Bachelor's Degree at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, playing briefly in the College Jazz band while studying percussion at nearby Hart School of Music in West Hartford and performing in rock bands all over New England. Besides hosting his own radio show at Trinity on 89.3FM WRTC Tim also wrestled varsity for Trinity at the 134 pound weight class in NCAA Division III. After Trinity, Tim earned his Masters Degree in Business (MBA/Marketing) at University of Connecticut while running a weekly Radio show called "Metal Madness" on 91.7FM, WHUS and performing on drums throughout New England and interning for Capitol-EMI-Manhattan-Angel Records which led to an internship in Hollywood, CA at Capitol Records. Upon moving to Hollywood, Tim studied drums privately with legendary rock drummer Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart, Ozzy) for two years. After interning at Capitol-EMI, Tim went on to work at Metal Blade Records as the National Director of Promotions, before leaving to sign a record deal as drummer in the Hollywood band LONDON (famous for former members who went on to bands like GUNS N ROSES, MOTLEY CRUE, CINDERELLA, WASP, D'MOLLS) to record a studio album, appear in the Roger Corman executive-produced film Hollywood Boulevard PII while earning his SAG card for performing, singing in that film with the band LONDON. Several TV commercials, MTV Music Videos and appearances in feature films like Lion Heart, Where The Day Takes You, Ford Fairlane, Shock 'Em Dead, Hollywood Rocks, Vamps In The City, The Black Mass followed. Tim has recorded and globally released nine studio albums as the co-founder/drummer/vocalist/keyboardist of the post-LONDON band (founded by the legendary Lizzie Grey) SPIDERS & SNAKES, served as VP/General Manager of Cleopatra Records and Cleopatra Entertainment, and has produced/co-produced/associate produced dozens of feature films, documentary films and concert films in addition to performing on numerous albums and appearing in music videos by other artists. Tim continues to perform live and in the studio on drums, keyboards and vocals in the Hollywood, CA based band HOLLYWOOD AFTER DARK, whose first single appeared in the Cleopatra motion picture production of Cocaine Werewolf and whose first full length album is scheduled for a worldwide release in 2025.
