Showtime, the new Disney+ Hotstar original, is all about the Hindi film industry. Apart from the glam and the glitz, there is a lot of hard work and stress that goes into mounting, producing, and releasing a film. Showtime by Sumit Roy plans to cover that and bring forward the story of the countless tasks a producer and a studio must engage in. Showtime is about show business, as understood from the title, and it has several characters that make the series interesting. These characters bring to life the roles that many may or may not encounter in real life. They are the backbone of any show or movie, and they never get enough credit for the hard work they put in.

Raghu Khanna, portrayed by Emraan Hashmi, is the current showrunner of Victory Studios, who took over the reins from his father when plenty of their films were flopping.

Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" is already a huge box office success. According to Variety, the film made over $155 million in its opening weekend, making it the biggest debut of the year. Besides its genius marketing campaign and star-studded cast, one of the things viewers will remember about the film is its attention to detail.
"Barbie" includes so many clever Easter eggs, from nods to discontinued toys like Midge and Sugar Daddy Ken to pop culture references like "The Wizard of Oz" and "The Matrix." One of the movie's most subtle Easter eggs, however, may have involved another popular doll franchise: Bratz. According to a popular TikTok theory, "Barbie" features a secret cameo from the Bratz characters Cloe, Sasha, Yasmin, and Jade. If you failed to catch it, let me explain.

The UK government’s move to regulate the streamers in line with broadcasters could “prove unworkable or risk a chilling effect,” according to the SVoD’s UK Head of Policy.
Benjamin King raised concerns that the impartiality requirements contained in media regulator Ofcom’s Broadcasting Code, which will soon apply to the streamers via the Media Bill, may impact “our appetite to make documentaries available” in the UK.
Speaking at a Westminster Media Forum (Wmf), King didn’t elaborate on which documentaries he is concerned would break the impartiality code but said “careful thought” is required when Ofcom and the government figure out how to transpose the rules onto the streamers.
“Ofcom has highlighted in the past the potential threats to freedom of expression and we would strongly urge the government to consider this given the obvious potential harm to the status quo,” added King.

In a world where cheesy, heartstring-tugging plots have become the tried-and-true formula for most rom-coms, "Rye Lane" is anything but that. The comical Raine Allen-Miller-directed film, which debuted in UK theaters on March 17 and worldwide on Hulu on March 31, turns your typical meet-cute story upside down with a humorous South London-set tale that centers on 20-somethings Dom (David Jonsson) and Yas (Vivian Oparah), who serendipitously fall in love in a day after the two have a random run-in in a public restroom while reeling from heartbreak.
During the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where "Rye Lane" first premiered, Jonsson tells Popsugar he thought the movie's script was "absolutely hilarious" when he first read it, while Oparah calls it "incredible." The actors, both London natives, are grateful for the chance to portray a unique love story that not only highlights two Black leads but pays beautiful homage to their hometown, too. "I...
